dont get me wrong when i say "e-hailing don scatter my car" i was referring to the physical condition of my car. no regrets at all, because the car has worked, 3 years of e-hailing i never did anybody work, changed engine once and not because of e-hailing. it was a necessity because the engine block was made of aluminum and it chopped, so no way to fix than to change engine.
Okay. You are not the one I was thinking of then. It's all good. At least you've moved on without any regrets and that's a solid takeaway right there 👌

Good luck in your future endeavours.

Coward!!! I know it's difficult for you to comprehend quickly, BECUs your brain has already been tempered with during child birth. Your grand mum mistakenly knocked you on your head during severe argument with your mum.. the floor is Open you can answer my questions. Don't pretend you didn't spotted it. Oh my bad, I forgot you don't even own a bicycle
You must be one of all those failed benin yahoo boys who is left with only a camry as his proceeds from the hk after all his maga have run away grin

You better sell it and buy the yaris, paste bolt sticker on it and join those aboki to be hustling right there in benin. Yes it's like a downgrade and your friends may mock you but at least you wouldn't be begging for food to eat or coming here to dance like a mad person. By the way you can decide relocate to lagos with your camry and squat with broda bernad (I'm sure his offer is still open) to try your luck before knowing your next move.

The babalawo is also there in benin in case you decide to 'plus+ up' and get right back into your game wink afterall hustle na hustle abi? I won't judge

Good luck 👍🏾

Make una no vex say I won advice oooo… good or bad, the person don make up in mind.

1. I personally feel newbies should not focus on too much profit or target. Make fun off driving. Take some time or week to know what work for him and what don’t.

2. To me it is important to understand the days that things boom. I necessarily don’t believe drivers should have specific daily targets, but weekly. Some days are superb and some can be wishful. In all, there’s always a carry over. Using Indrive as yardstick… if 250k weekly is the target? Then, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and be the peak days. Pick like 2 days in the week as make up and car maintenance.

Uncle Tojahh. It's common sense. Every engine no matter how careful you maintain it has a lifespan. The more you drive, the faster you reach the lifespan. This is especially so for high mileage cars imported into the country.

Apart from that, vehicles used on ehailing have a tendency of being abused. That's the reason the great and late gazzuzz will not go near a vehicle that has been previously used on ehaling when sourcing for cars for his clients.
Just imagine the excuse this one is giving us undecided that all engines have a lifespan . . . Which means he believes only brand new vehicles to be the best for ehailing or what?

So nigerians typically exhaust the lifespan of active and healthy engine within 2 years and 50,000 miles of active use?

That someone bought a 20 year old vehicle with a still fully functional engine means he must drive it to death withing such a time frame JUST BECAUSE HE IS A NIGERIAN?

please don't twist the late legends words, he said he doesn't like referring vehicles previously used on ehailing to his clients simply because the regular nigerian ehailing driver LACKS PROPER MAINTENANCE CULTURE and not because ehailing itself is bad.

It's obvious you don't even have a bicycle talk less of a car. How will you fill the anguish and pang drivers are passing through daily, unable to meet their demand because of the unreasonable poor fares on their app, high cost of maintenance of cars.. and so on. And you are saying that if it's not favoring them any more they should resign, instead of you to be supportive for uberbolt to adjust their fares for drivers to make enough profit..

If you think drivers haven't done the right thing by sending countless Gmail to uberbolt then you must be a fool... Without drivers uberbolt or passengers we be stranded.. so don't be a jerk!!! Be productive
If you like, don't keep sending your emails and calls to bolt or uber offices for them to sit up and understand your plight. This is a harsh reality. It seems that many Nigerians carry a mindset of negativity and lack of accountability, which shows up in various aspects of their lives. Rather than taking personal responsibility, they often place blame on external factors.

It's really worrying to know that Europeans/ Westerners will drive a car for over 20 years, maintaining it well, the same car could end up in Nigeria, and will be heavily damaged within months when passed on to a driver. They will blame the high cost of parts, the hustle, government, family pressures, or unreliable mechanics without blaming themselves.

Many drivers are unaware of basic car maintenance, like the correct engine oil to use or when to get an oil change. Simple research or watching a few videos online could solve a lot of these issues, but mental laziness and a lack of knowledge get in the way.

So sad.
It's the Nigerian factor. A worrisome 'herd mentality' attitude that over 80% of us in this country possess undecided

Imagine someone saying that using a vehicle as a taxi will damage its engine . . . As if the car was meant to be bought and kept in a giant show glass inside their living rooms 🙄

The oyibo man will buy his car, drive up to/more than 30,000 miles in it each year for many years consecutively then decide to sell it off after which it gets exported and lands in nigeria 🇳🇬

Then someone here buys it and within 2 years and under 50,000 miles the new owner is looking for a new engine undecided

And someone here decides to blame it all on ehailing instead of the slack maintenance attitude of the usual nigerian vehicle owner 🙄

If anyone is tired or disgruntled about the way uber or bolt have been handling their affairs concerning this business they are free to quit and look for something else to do.

We all know it's not easy at the moment but we have to eat and our families and bills have to be settled as well. Nobody can instigate a total shutdown of bolt or uber in nigeria from this thread on nairaland, you'd have to either go to their offices to complain or make the government come to your rescue one way or the other. THERE IS NO UBER OR BOLT REPRESENTATIVE OR STAFF HERE so coming here to attack people indiscriminately is counter productive and a waste of time.

If you feel the business is not paying you please exit. I pray God opens doors wide for you as you do.

Allow those who want to keep struggling to struggle, it is their choice just as you have made yours. Because you quit does not mean everyone else should join you and quit. Some actually have methods which work for them and they are contented with it. Nobody is trying to become dangote via ehailing but na where man see work do na there him go from see food chop.
