To be candid, in my opinion the reason that marriage is hitting the rocks is that you were ignored, because things were not done properly at the beginning since you didn't give them your blessings. If I were your sister, I'd try to right the wrong, apologize for contracting marriage without the blessings of her 'father' (since biological father is late) and see a way to promise you to obey custom if or when the trouble is over. If not, that marriage will continually have problems. #I Stand with righteousness 1 Like |

4. On the issue of doctrine change... Please know that Deeper Life will never change on clear instructions from the Bible. It might change in its operations or issues which may not be current or policies abused or misinterpreted by certain workers, in as much ad the change does not negate the Bible. Every organization has a set of rules and unique operations to maintain order. Also, as humans, we learn from our mistakes. Well, I'm sure this op wrote this thread was well intended, but not every thing written here is correct. I'm a member since childhood and now in my 30s. 1. On the issue of Television... The principal goal of the church is for its members to make heaven. For every serious minded believer, in times past, the TV was a huge source of tempting pictures. But with the advent of phones and internet, sources are multiplied. There was no point hammering on TV alone. But Pastor Kumuyi's position remains abstain from all appearance of evil. 2. On the issue of age to become a full time pastor, I think you got that wrongly. Right now, its Deeper life Church policy now that to be a full time worker you must not be more than 45 years of age. But this is not strictly followed for full time pastors now as any can be called (as led by the spirit) to be a full time pastor in as much as he has the capacity and passes the interview process. Recently, I know of a lecturer who was made a Region Overseer. 3. On the issue of laying of hands, it is believed that there are no barriers in the spirit realm. It is not compulsory to lay hands before miracles take place especially when the crowd is large.. But if is one on one counseling and prayer session, laying of hands can be done if necessary 6 Likes 1 Share |

I really sympathize with you. You need real spiritual help, prayers and counselling... I wish to invite you through this forum to attend the Deeper Life National December Retreat from 22 - 25 of December, 2017. It is titled The Dawn of a New Beginning. Look for a Deeper life camp ground closest to you. I'm too sure you problem will be solved and a new chapter will be opened in your life as you attend. It's a pity this OP doesn't even know the deeper life he's talking about. It shows the extent the devil has filled his heart and the extent he's gone into error. Every thing Deeper life does is from the scriptures and can be proven. If you you have issues with the Church you can leave in peace, simple! Pastor Kumuyi remains one of the finest preacher of our time. If you meet him in person you'd be amazed and forced to change negative views you had about him.
