i actually saw somethin like that in katsina, the lady was posted to a public school but she came back to the secretariat with another letter from a private school that she's rejected by the public school that why she went to collect the one from d private school. But, i think she already had plans with that private school b4.
In other words, i don't think you can go directly to where you want except you've great influence wit one of the top people that matter. But you can talk to the ppa you're posted to to reject you so that you can arrange ur tin by urself. You get?!

i can tell for just being a member of the band and an active member of nccf (i.e a pastor. I think the same for the muslim folks too) you'll be posted to the city, i don't know abt nice ppa oh...
If you're very active sha in any group you'll meet top people that can influence ur posting.

no think am oh...dt corper will be decamped immediately, except its a group tin, like all the corpers revolting. Funny enough, one platoon officer and his platoon commander had misunderstanding and fought in front of us all. Both were suspended.

ik121: Goodmornin Boss! Plz my ? s dis! (1) After the 3wks orientation camp nd u get a PPA, wil u be given a break(i.e holiday) to travel and cum bac prepared, or u ll jus start work immedi8ly. (2) can 1 form sickness in bed(sheverish illness) to avoid the soldiers nd dia early mornin drill/ can d soldiers b tipped so they allow one sleep till wen he feels like waking up without being drilled tru out camp.

hmmm! Now the second question is really funny! The drills are not so stressful...its usually fun you know. Nevertheless, what happens normally is that the soldiers are very much eager to come and drive everyone out for the early morning and evening drills for the first and second week, they soon get tired toward the end. Some guys formed sick and the soldier ask them to go to the camp clinic instead of staying in the rooms. Also, because of security reasons, the rooms are locked when everyone is suppose to be out.
As for the first question, immediately after camp you're suppose to report immediately to ur ppa, it can take from like a day to a week to finish ur registration and clearance. Then you can apply for ur 3weeks leave there and then. For me, i finish my registration on tuesday, settled my accommodation issue wednesday and left thursday to resume in september, you know 3rd term holiday is very long. My ppa is resuming on september 15 but i'll be there b4 then for my september clearance and cds.
Normally you're entitled to 3weeks leave throughout the year, you can take everything at once or take 2weeks first and take the remainder later.

CY09: Well the company i work for uses Navision Dynamics and its other divisions too...I think it is meant for big organisations cos of its database ability and some other stuffs.

back to nysc tinzs...you won't need more than 8 passports for ur clearance in camp, then try to snap another 8 with ur nysc uniform you'll need that for ur local govt, ppa and bank a/c registration.

i've seen it but i've not used it. Microsoft Dynamics is not very popular in nigeria. I'm yet to see any company in nigeria that use it. The popular ones in nigeria are Sage. Peachtree quickbooks and tally.

The most important tin is to start now b4 ur number even come out. Ask anybody around you who has worked his own b4 now.

of course not in any school. I'm a chartered accountant and i'm into training and implementation of accounting softwares. I'd have done that on part time. I was doing that b4 service.

i'm very based in lagos. Did my primary and secondary schools in lagos. B4 leavin for service i was working and if i wanted lagos desperately i'd have worked it and in a month i'll get more than 100k legitimately w/out the allowee, i just needed that breathing space thats why i didn't work it to lagos.

thats just an instance i cited, there are other opportunities that a corper in lagos can have access to...like teaching private classes among other tinzs...

That makes a total of 18hrs travel!!...I duff my hat ooo!...I just wonder why some state governments are stingy...3k makes a total of 36k throughout service year!!...Gone are the days of private companies where some banks pay more than that in a month...yours is still better, some states don't pay a dime!...for instance, Lagos state has decided to pay only 610 corpers this batch out of over 2000 of them...others are on their own!...Can you imagine that? a whole LAGOS!!

talking abt the lagos corpers, they asked for it...if i were in lagos i won't need any government to pay me. For instance my guy posted to one private school is receiving like 30k per month, that plus the 19800 is 50k and the place is close to his house...no spending money for food

CY09: Talking about medical report, how do i go about getting one and will that of private hospitals be accepted?

they only accept military hospital, general hospital, missionary hospital and teaching hospital. Most of these hospitals in lagos have them touts outside the gate that can give you this tin for 5k (max)

no be as you think am oh...i hear you've over 100 students in a class. The state allowee is 3k. From katsina to abuja is like 8hrs then from abuja to lagos is another 10hrs, thats no home coming when i finally resume in september.

You're welcome, i've filled a lot of forms in camp that indicate that i'm not sick and thats the only ground for me to redeploy. Besides, i'm preparing for an exam in december, i think i'v enough time to prepare for it.

its much more easier to redeploy while you're inside the camp than when you're out.

my brother, my ppa is a secondary school to teach computer i think for only jss3, i hear they have like 7classes and like 60% don't understand english. There's accommodation inside the school, water and light, its in the main city.

hello people i'm from batch b room, we just left camp this week like you all know...i've not been following all ur conversation so i don't know if someone else has mentioned what i'm abt to say, i's posted to katsina and i didn't bother to redeploy. Okay, if you want to runs ur service just start making the plans now and as soon as ur call up numbers are out forward it to ur contact don't dull urself. Also, to be double sure just prepare a medical report down, don't go and do a very deadly one that you can't relate with oh...so that in case the runs 'no click' you can present it when you get to camp. This is not to discourage you from havin faith oh...you might not just like the place you'll be posted.

Did i tell you guys a baby girl was delivered by a corp member like on d second day in our camp? Well fyi it was another corp member (a nairalander) that was the doctor who helped with the delivery. For security reasons i wont mention her name here. Hehehe
