Adebisi33: I really don't know what to do. I've just turned 40 and I'm desperate to settle down and start a family of my own.
I'm attractive, I have a masters degree, my own house, and a great career but I can't find a nice man. I don't go to clubs and bars, and only meet white men at work, and I don't find them attractive at all.
My aunt suggested that I go to Nigeria to find a husband. She says there are a lot of men who would love to get a British Passport (I was born in England). I don't want to do this, because I don't think that's a good basis for starting a relationship.
A lot of friends have suggested that I'm too fussy, but my father says that a woman should marry a man who is equal or better than her.
All I am looking for is a man who is single, intelligent, honest and hardworking. I worry that these kinds of men are already married, or if they are single, they want to settle down with younger women.
In case you're wondering why I didn't get married before, I've been looking for a relationship since I was 22, but no black men that I met who met my criteria (single, intelligent, honest and hardworking) were interested in me. They all seemed to be taken.
What should I do?
Thanks what part of england do you stay? you mean you have been looking for a relationship for 18 yrs? phew! i could help but 40?? can we see your pics for a start? |

I don't expect d deal to happen. If it does, then somebody has really caved from their negotiating position (most likely Wesley). well. . . . . for the next 24 hrs, i am a transfer muppet!!! i actually believe in the united kids(cleverley, ando, pogba, morrison) but i also think we need an experienced head who they would learn from. besides, if cleverley gets injured, we would be screwed as he is the major pillar in the new way we play these days. . .sneijder is world class. guardiola bought cesc, sanchez and promoted thiago. mourinho added some quality players to his squad. sahin, altintop, coentrao. man city have added more quality in aguero and nasri. these are our rivals in europe. if we want to win in europe, we must face at least one of these teams who all have ridiculous squad depths. if we really want to go all the way - we must cop sneijder in the next 24. tick. . .tock. . .tick. . . .tock. |

loyika: Errr
Hasn't Vidic been carrying Rio for a while now, and hasn't Evra been carried along as he seems to have lost some of the pace and guile he once had.
JT CARRIES THE WHOLE CHELSKI DEFENCE ON HIS OWN MOST TIMES
Mert will be a better version than Kos and as long as Verm is fit, he will do well in the prem, whether he is carried otr not doesn't bother me, as long as the defence is sorted, fair enough. Might not be the best, but we will take it right now.
GOONER 89 how has vidic carried rio? i would actually say rio carried vidic. we are talking about 2 world class defenders here not per mertesacker, mr loyika. in the next 8 months, we will all be here laughing at these signings. what wenger needed were tested n proven premier league defenders. samba + shawcross would solve arsene's problems. in that area of the pitch, arsenal don't need technical players - you need no nonsense players. nasri murders arsenal.Former star delivers damning review of former club Samir Nasri insists Arsenal can no longer afford to spend big in the transfer market. Nasri completed his long awaited move to Manchester City last week before making his debut in the weekend win at Tottenham.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, meanwhile, saw his side crumble in humiliating fashion at Manchester United with an 8-2 loss, but Nasri says that the club have to change.
The France international insisted it was the right time for him to leave, telling l'Equipe: "Yes, it was [the right time to leave], there are sure signs.
"The departure of Cesc to Barcelona is one of them. The defeat against Birmingham in the League Cup final was very harmful for the minds.
"Arsenal remains a big club, but the building of Emirates Stadium changed a lot of things. It has changed the ambitions, so far. But it is not Arsene Wenger, it is the club's politics, the officials.
"Arsenal doesn't have the same funds. They can't make the same coups as before in the transfer market. They are rather forced to sell their best players and bet on young ones."
Nasri was asked about why did not extend his contract at Arsenal last year, but explained: "Why didn't I extend at Arsenal last autumn? They made me an offer and my advisers made another one.
"In this last one there was a clause that Arsenal officials didn't really accept.
"Then, it lasted. When they came back to offer me again in June, I made my decision. In my mind I wanted to leave, above all after the very difficult end to last season and I also already had nice contacts.
"At first Arsene Wenger wanted to keep me. Then, both clubs needed time to agree a transfer fee.
"My agents worked well. With the lawyers they wanted everything to be in order. When the transfer is big, you have to be patient. I am also happy Arsenal could get a nice fee. I prefer to leave that way than being a free agent. I did the same at Marseille. But that €28million fee doesn't put me under any pressure." Happy
The French star maintains he was delighted to join City, despite links also to their city rivals United.
"From the start there was unanimity about my arrival at Manchester City. The coach, the executive director Garry Cook and chairman Khaldoun al-Mubarak, I felt everyone wanted me," he said.
"The players teased me for my first training session. They said: 'You needed time to come. We are waiting for you for one month and a half'. I know most of them, playing against them.
"Training with all those good players every day, I will improve. During sessions, there is a big intensity. At Arsenal it was already good, but here it is an upper level.
"When we finish the session with a match, you really feel like you're in an official competition. There are 22 players of a very high level. In the Premier League, very few clubs can show such wealth."
Nasri is yet to win a major trophy in his career and he is looking to out that right at City, adding: "You play football because you like it, but above all to win trophies.
"I am still dreaming about a national title, a cup or Champions League just like a kid.
"I want to feel satisfaction of a fulfilled season. Individually being named Player of the Year or being in the team of the league, that is reward but it can't replace the emotion of a trophy. |

proudly9ja: I want to believe that every Arsenal fan believes Arsene has done well over the years. What's painful for many fans is that if we critically look at the team we've had in the past say 6 years, 3 of those 6 years we have been short only by one or two players. More painful is the fact that many of these short comings are obvious to everyone but Wenger. Usually his excuse has been that we would be affecting the growth of his youth players. which is why i think wenger can be daft with his reasoning sometimes. united have bought big players even when fergie's kids are meant to have been promoted. granted, it limits the number of appearances of those kids but the kids can also learn one or two tricks from the world class players. wenger should have been mixing it all these years. . . .but the kids he was dying to protect by not signing big players have all left because of lack of trophies. i am surprised nasri's latest interview hasn't been posted here. . .debosky must have seen it but because it's the truth the fat tool won't bring it up! A classic example was last season. We all asked for a CB during the winter transfer window and Arsene played us like football till the last day. Eventually, we lost the CC final due to a mistake between our GK and a CB. We also lost/drew matches due to failures by our CBs. Now if rumours are to be believed, we are now close to signing a new CB. What has changed between January and now? If anything, we have TV5 back which is a plus. So why didn't AW buy or loan a CB in January?
Similar examples are abound over the past few years. Let's hope the 8 - 2 trouncing serves as a wake up call to AW. wenger is a stubborn donkey! a tool of a man who is too stubborn to accept his dreams/vision of arsenal have failed. i actually expect him to look at the clubs on top and match what they do albeit minimally. sign a couple of experienced players on a bargain and mix them with the youths. he started the ridiculous policy of not wanting players that are 30+ in his team. vieira, pires, ljunberg, etc had to go. few years later, wenger signed squillaci, silvestre, campbell and gallas. isn't that daft? |

Walcott will outscore every winger in the EPL this year bar none, EASILY! here we go again. . . . . proudly9ja: Merci beacoup So ManCity, Chelsea and Liverpool have spent more money than ManU over this period. The first two, significantly more money. Thanks. No worry, just send me your card's long number and security code. I don't even need your full name or expiry date. man city and chelsea have spent ridiculous amounts of money over the last 8 years and they don't often sell these players well. they just dispose them off at rubbish prices. but to be honest, wenger has done really well with those low numbers. . . . .however, some fans think he has overdone it cos arsenal should not be a selling club that prides itself in making huge profits in player transfers. with the rise and rise of mid-table teams spending lots of money, they have suddenly closed the gap on arsenal and the top 4 finish is now looking ominous. |
