ritchboy:toure has never been better than vidic. not in his lifetime. dorks like you are only conversant with the premier league. Pires was "once" better than Cristiano. Before the 2006 UCL final Coogar told us Rooney is better than Henrypires has never ever been better than cristiano. that pires first busted on the scene means shyte. by your slow logic, mc hammer was once better than eminem. of course, rooney is better than henry. . . .who is thierry henry? both were at the same tournament in euro 2004, rooney outshone henry. If Thiago is better than Wilshere in two years then i'll ay he is. As at this moment those are the words of a phoool.you know you watch your own football upside down. . . . . . Are you not the same heediot that said Arsenal have a better midfield than Chelsea/United a few weeks ago? So tell me how it's easier for Wilshere to break into the first team than Morrison, oh i forgot, you are a scatterbrained doofus!midfield is not only about the central midfield. wingers are also midfielders you reprobate! arsenal have just 14 good players which means the midfielders in their starting xi were better than that of chelsea and united(as at last season) beyond that starting xi, united still have about 2 teams whilst arsenal have nothing. if wilshere was a graduate of united academy, he would still be playing in the reserves. if josh mceachran was a graduate of arsenal academy, he would have copped about 100 games under his belt. arsenal have the shittiest squad strength in the league. . . . .like i keep saying promotion to arsenal's senior squad is the easiest in europe. your argument is akin to a student who copped 1st class in imo state university in comparison to a dude with 2.1 in imperial college. you are the scatterbrained doofus - you told us fabregas was better than ronaldo in autumn of 2007. 5 months later, ronaldo won all the awards in the world and fabregas won eduardo's crutches.
Coogar is just being a asinine anti-arsenal. No biggie. One who hears him speak of wilshere will wonder if its the same wilshere who has already earned himself a national team call-up and is a member of the team of the season in the league he plays. I wonder how many of those nonentities he listed have accolodes close to that. (watch him say its cos wilshere is english)
engaging you in a debate is like teaching a blind man how to play fifa12. wilshere has earned himself a national team call-up, congratulations to the parents of jack wilshere. . . . .that's the benefit of playing in the senior team of arsenal. cleverley has only played 3 league games for man utd, he has earned the same call-up. phil jones from nowhere has earned the same call up. if he was still at blackburn, no one would pay attention to him. so it's not about age or brilliance. . . . .it's about playing the games 220 countries are watching and performing decently in them. getting to the english national team is also easy. wilshere won't play for spain. . . . .cleverley wont start for germany. Coo/Sharon also belittled RvP in similar fashion saying RvP isn't world class, cant score 20 goals and even blasphemed by saying Imbertov is better than RvP. RvP went on to do that in half a season. Coo shouldn't be taken seriously pleaseso your highness in idiocy still believes van persie is better than berbatov? we all know who won the epl golden boot last season, what did van r@pist win? so van persie scored 20 goals? berbatov has matched that feat 3 times now since he joined the english league. . . . .van persie has achieved it just twice in his entire career as a professional footballer Coogar == Asinine anti-arsenalwhen your brain completes it's final phase of development, come back to me. fact remains van persie has only scored more than 12 league goals once in his career in spite of the fact that he's the chief penalty taker in arsenal. berbatov scored 20 league goals pure(no penalties). |
ritchboy:thiago plays in bundesliga? eriksen too? i have always known you are daft but u have sunk to depths mr cousteau wouldn't dare reach. you once told us kolo toure was better than vidic so in the comparison debates, you are the last person to be taken seriously. Of all the players he listed only Goetze can be said to be better than Wilshere. Thiago has only had a few flashes of brilliance in proper football, his biggest claim to fame is European U21 Championship vs ninjas going through puberty. Let him prove his mettle against grown men in the UCL and La Liga before we say he's better than Wilshere.so wilshere is better than thiago? ![]() you see? the double promotion in arsenal(their reasons for continuous failure) is the yardstick here. if frimpong starts for arsenal every week and pogba plays for united's reserves then frimpong is automatically better than pogba. that reasoning is very daft, my friend. go and read what pep guardiola said about wilshere playing for barcelona. . . . . .in barcelona, wilshere would still be playing in the second division. he needs more years at the academy to hone his skills. As for Thiago vs Cesc hohoho, i laff in Santa Claus. That's like saying Ozyakup is better than Xavi, #madnessyes now. . . . .just like you told us pires is better than cristiano ronaldo. ![]() in two years time, you would say you didn't mean to say wilshere is better than thiago. it's like what i see now is what you would see in 2015. . . . .you are operating at t-4 interval when i am at t. @ sleekdot, forget ibime and most gooners. . . . . they know shyte about youngsters in europe. the best young player in europe is wilshere. . . . . .that is what bbc and skysports tell them. this same wilshere is not better than ravel morrison. but the difference as usual is, wilshere has dud seniors ahead of him whilst morrison has world class seniors ahead. wilshere's opportunity to play for the senior team is 100%, morrision's is like 10% when morrison starts shining by the time he gets promoted, arsenal fans would be saying where does fergie gets his fledglings from - and these are players who are already good to play for the senior team but can't get ahead their talented seniors as we speak. for most english football fans, promotion to the senior team is absolute excellence - nothing to do with opportunities or strength in depth of the clubs being discussed. |
Ibime:that would be because there are plenty of pillocks like you who hang on wilshere's coat-tails. Eriksson still lacks physical tenacity. He is not yet on Wilshere's level. So what he shined against England? Where was he when Iceland Under 21s were running triz on him in Euro Under 21s? Abeg comot dia! Eriksson is not yet on Wilshere's level. I have seen Wilshere run the right-wing like a seasoned pro, then saw him run left-wing at Bolton, and now am seeing him run central midfield with tenacity, bite and poise. Then he started running defensive midfield for England. As of next season, I'm sure he'll be running attacking midfield. That's what I call a player. A ninja like that has proved his mental strength and consistency whilst Eriksson could disappear like Canales if he goes to a club in a big league where he cannot get the playmaker position. If Eriksson should be forced to play as a conventional midfielder, he'll disappear. Wilshere is a man, Eriksson is still a boy. No wonder Eriksson failed schoolboy trials with Chelsea. Hehehehehe.i am yet to see what wilshere has proven. he has never come up trumps against big teams in england. wilshere is wilshere because he's english. nothing more. he's a bit good and it ends there. compared to the names i listed above, wilshere is nowhere. ibime and other dorks on this forum often mistake promotion to the senior squad at arsenal as brilliance. . . .which is not necessarily the case. arsenal's squad strength is non-existent. any fool would start at arsenal - this is why you can see frimpong and coquelin having match appearances already. if eriksen fails a schoolboy trials at chelsea then it simply means chelsea's academy is shyte. eriksen is better than any youth product of chelsea in the last 6 yrs. The other names are not worth discussing. Toni Kroos first came out in 2007. Till date, he is only just about establishing himself. Lars Bender and Sven Bender? For where? Lewis Holtby is older than Wilshere and not yet on his level. He started the season on fire then disappeared.there he goes again with his daft opinion. toni kroos that plays for bayern and germany has not established himself. . . . .what a troll. As for the other names mentioned, I don't even comment on players who are as yet unproven. That would be as silly as comparing Josh McEachran (talented but physically frail and as yet unproven) to a proven player like Wilshere.david silva is frail. . . .zola is frail and they possess more magical touches than your samba and mikel obi or michael bison essien. what has physical frailty gotta do with it. the same nonsense british pundits said about chicharito's frame when he was signed. after the end of the season, hernandez had scored 20 goals. something bullies like torres, caroll and other beasty individuals couldn't manage. ibime, give it a rest now, abeg. you are starting to embarrass yourself. |
edoyad:yes, on this very forum. . . .gooners said fabregas was better than ronaldo. use the search button and see for yourself. . . . .that was the season ronaldo won all the individual awards in the world and fabregas won. . . . .nada! on this very forum too, gooners told us wenger is a better manager than alex ferguson. the search button should also help you with that. gooners are always doing the daft comparisons. always! |
follypimpi:thank you! ibime should print this out and put it on his wall. he should digest it every morning like his book of psalms till he memorizes it. |
she's yoruba! |
follypimpi:excellent point. . . . i will agree wilshere was mostly on the leash last season, now that cesc and nasri have left, we shall see what wilshere is made of. but from what i have seen so far, the others have bossed top games in a way i am yet to see wilshere. . . .so it's only natural for any observer to say wilshere is light years below them. your candid opinion, do you think wilshere is better than thiago like ibime foolishly vomited? |
You are troubled. I honestly think you should calm down else you loose your mind.
troubled? i am as calm as cucumber. i am doing that is very natural to me. i cannot say the same about you. If you know a certain player and someone else doesn't, do you feel superior? If you do, then u got personal issuesi don't feel superior but then i don't expect someone else who doesn't know to engage me in an argument he knows shyte about. this is why you especially should emulate proudly9ja and some other level-headed posters here. they don't jump into every debate, they pick their debates and they only post mostly on what they are conversant with. you on the other hand defend anything anti-arsenal when you know nothing about the subject of discussion. only a brainless wimp does that. when your masters are talking, go and stay at the back of the bus and learn!!!! slimshay:macheda scored a winner against villa(2 points gained), scored a winner against sunderland(2 points gained), without those goals, liverpool would have won the premier league in 08/09. macheda was instrumental to united's victory that season but you will not find any united fan saying he is better than anelka or whatever comparisons you daft gaynners come up with. |
sleekdot:you shall be blessed. . . . . .i was beginning to think i am on ma own with the list i supplied. i felt like i was posting in a forum where the language ain't english. ibime is a goat. what does he know? he's a slave to british hype machine. he only follows what he hears on match-of-the-day. i cannot believe someone who pays premium to watch espn on sky will utter that wilshere is better than eriksen. ibime doesn't even know lewis holtby. what a disgrace of an ijaw fishmonger!!!! |
Maybe you are right that my knowledge of footie is limited to Nland, but with all you claim to know, you pile up a stack of nonentities and compare them with Wilshere? You should be ashamed you let your beef get so rotten and eat deep into you.
you should be ashamed!!! it was you that had to swallow all your vomit last season when your erections went gaga for arsenal. my prediction as to where arsenal would finish came to pass. don't ever put ur snout in a discussion about european football cos you don't have the nous to engage me in one. if you think wilshere is the best, good luck to you and your sheer idiocy. . . . .just don't quote me in particular and say i am wrong/i dunno what i am talking about. it will only expose your lunacy and low level of intelligence. We shouldn't even be talking with you about Wilshere really. Say all that on the streets on London and see if you won't be mandated to see a shrinkgo n read the links i posted on ibime's reply. even the british pundits know eriksen is better than wilshere. |
Ibime:goetze and thiago on wilshere's level? jack fecking wilshere? you must be high on pot. those two are light years ahead, same as christian eriksen. eriksen is not strong enough? ![]() ibime, you see why people call you a phat fool!? even the british media that are normally biased when it comes to their own players said this. . . . http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3402872/Jack-Wilsheres-OK-but-Christian-Eriksens-better.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1355416/MARTIN-SAMUEL-Christian-Eriksens-free-reign-leave-Jack-Wilshere-straining-leash.html |
edoyad:what has this story gotta do with anything? barcelona were winning before cesc's arrival, barcelona are still winning after cesc's arrival. watch the skills of the two players and tell me cesc has the deft touches of thiago. football is not in the scripts or lines of football pundits. it's what you can see with your eyes. if it's about links, i can produce 100 of them where pundits thought barca don't need cesc since they have thiago. http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2010/11/11/2209325/spanish-inquisition-forget-cesc-fabregas-barcelona-should |
slimshay:running champions league final at 17 yrs? if cesc was born in may 1987, how's he 17 in may 2006? babu arithmetic skills. yet without a trophy for 6 yrs at arsenal. . . . . .this cesc is the 2nd coming. you arsenal fans can be pillocks sometimes. cesc was a part-player. your statement above is like saying macheda was a league champion in 08/09. . . . i ask again. . . . .who is fabregas? that cesc played in a champs league final at 19 is a testament to arsenal's lack of squad strength - nothing to do with cesc's brilliance. at 19, thiago is far better than cesc. slimshay:ramsey did united at the emirates? a game united had no interest winning as their priorities lied elsewhere. ramsey played on sunday, didn't he? what was the scoreline? answers on a postcard, please. ramsey ko, pharoah ni. |
slimshay:thiago alcantara? he's thousands of miles ahead of cesc despite cesc's exposure to the limelight of the past six years. who be cesc? a one-eyed man in arsenal's kingdom of the blind. no wonder you lost 8-2 without cesc. with cesc, you were losing 3-1! thiago is a monster. at 19, his buyout clause is £81m. barcelona fans were saying they didnt need fabregas when guardiola was flirting with arsenal 2 months ago. that's thiago pissing on bayern munich. compare his silks to cesc or wilshere n get back to me. [flash=425,400] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m14w3QNIA6w&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3"[/flash] |
edoyad:hehehehe. . . . . .i heard the same shit about walcott. six years into walcott's career at arsenal and he's still shyte.
And you call some people tools! Your level of toolery is why Donkeykanu is celebrated
i won't argue with a dork like you. . . . . .your footie knowledge is restricted to what you read on nairaland and bbc website.but as an assignment, google those names and do a research on them. . . . . . better still, watch the last friendly between denmark and england and watch how christian eriksen reduced wilshere in the eyes of the world. when the british media were going gaga over wilshere playing in barcelona, guardiola told them to hush that he has got hundreds of players in his academy better than wilshere. . . . . then he promoted thiago and thiago is miles better than cesc(a player who wilshere sees as his god). arsenal fans should expand their horizon in the football world. y'all are too limited. |
Dgunnerz:wilshere is not as talented as goetze. in fact, in their generation, wilshere is down down the table. mario goetze thiago alcantara christian eriksen lewis holtby levan kenia deniz neki . . . . . . jack wilshere. |
follypimpi:goetze is going to manchester in the next 12 months. either man utd or man city. |

Manchester United have posted record operating profits of £110.9 million for the past financial year. The club have also recorded a record revenue of £334.1million - an increase of £45 million from last year and passing £300 million for the first time - according to figures for the year ended June 30, 2011. United, who won the Barclays Premier League title and reached the Champions League final during the period, have also recorded a commercial turnover of £103.4 million. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/multimedia/archive/00204/92074129football_204767c.jpg The latest results come as the club consider a plan to raise up to £614 million by floating on the Singapore Stock Exchange. Sir Alex Ferguson, the United manager, has spent heavily over the summer to overhaul his ageing team, splashing out more than £50million on David De Gea (Atletico Madrid), Ashley Young (Aston Villa) and Phil Jones (Blackburn Rovers). Manchester United was bought by the US-based Glazer family for £800m in 2005. Critics say the family has saddled the club with massive debts, which led to high-profile protests by supporters’ groups last season. In March, Manchester United’s parent company said it made a loss of £108.9m in 2009-10. Red Football Joint Venture is the Glazer family parent company that owns the Old Trafford club. Its loss, for the year to the end of July 2010, included one-off costs from setting up a £526 million bond scheme last January to replace outstanding debts of £509m. The figures contrast with those of last year when losses hit a record £83.3 million, largely due to the costs of a bond issue. The 15.7 per cent rise in commercial revenues is hugely encouraging for the club and does not include a new training kit sponsorship deal with DHL worth £40 million to the club. Manchester United have also signed a deal with Beeline, the Vietnamese mobile phone group, to take advantage of the estimated 16 million fans in the country. The Singapore floatation is being considered by the Glazer family, the club’s owners, as a means of addressing debts. Net debt is down to £308.3 million from £376.9 million according to the new figures. It is thought the floatation could be completed by the end of the year. United, having struggled to sell corporate boxes last year, have also enjoyed an increase in matchday turnover from £100.2 million to £108.6 million |
edoyad:12 months ago, deborah and mumuface told us united's debt would send them tumbling like leeds united. the debt would cripple the club and losing out of the fa cup against leeds in january 2010 would destroy fergie's empire totally. those were the predictions. . . . .even when sensible posters keep telling them debt is not necessarily a bad thing. as long as debt is being paid, there's no harm! |
dammie2k4:mrs chima is a sad, obnoxious, priggish divorcee. no married woman would spend the amount of hours mrs chima spends on nairaland unless she married a goat of a man. what part of her rants makes sense? just the same old misandrist balderdash she vomits every five seconds. |
If it were just a matter of possible permutations 'capable of finishing as champions', Man City would get a better look-in at the rpl title than Manure. I agree that makes Manure perennial champions is Ferguson and nothing more. If Ferguson managed City since the entrance of their sugar daddies, they would have won the Epl at least twice. Not trying to be pessimistic, our chances of winning the epl is slim. We now have a big squad but it will take sometime for them to reach the maximum of their potential as a unit. If anything, I say we are better suited to 'spring a surprise' than we were in the past few seasons
the last time i checked, only tevez and hargreaves have really experienced winning the premier league - 2 united rejects! fergie is the key. his desire and hunger to win titles is peerless. he manages to squeeze out the very best from his average players more than any manager in the world. united have beaten city already this season with cleverley dismantling yaya toure and de jong. mancini will not send his dogs to maraud a united side the way he would do against arsenal or tottenham. fergie has the edge over mancini. . . . . . |
duduspace:i am willing to bet on that with anyone on this forum. united will win the league over and over again this season. debarring fergie kicking the bucket, united will finish at least 6 points ahead of the runner-up. people underestimate the squad fergie has assembled. united have 2 different teams capable of finishing as champions in the league. de gea/lindegaard/kusczack rafael/fabio/smalling rio/smalling/evans vidic/evans/jones evra/fabio/evans nani/valencia/js park fletcher/cleverley/carrick/pogba anderson/giggs/gibson/morrison young/js park/giggs rooney/welbeck/diouf berbatov/chicharito/owen beating arsenal 8-2 won't be the only humiliation lined up this season for united's rivals. more humiliations would be dished out. others should have capitalized when united were burdened with the debt. now, the net debt keeps reducing and it's freeing funds for fergie to assemble a super squad. the league's golden boot winner last season hasn't really featured and 80% of the starters of last season's european final have been warming the bench. it's united's title. others should take their domestic cup campaign seriously. |
slimshay:if you are going to be realistic with yourself, you would know finishing in the top four this season is an achievement for arsenal. what happened last night was unwengerlike. . . . .signing so many players at the death of a transfer window is out of character for wenger. not all the players would gel instantly. arsenal are where city were last season. |
