Per Mertersacker is the wrongest choice for Arsenal

Why do you think in over 6yrs bayern has never made attempts to buy him

1. He is dreadfully slow maybe due to his physique

2. He doesnt fit into high line defences as his lack of speed gets exposed too often.

3. He is too neat for a defender and usually shy away from tackles but depend more on anticipation and interception of play

This is what German football fans think of the move
let's hope he passes his medicals then. grin
Verm has only one season under his belt as an arsenal player. Making him captain ahead of a RvP, i don't subscribe to.
I like the fact that we are bringing in experienced players alas, plus we seem to have more genuine goal scorers now.
Wouldnt be sheer optimism to expect

15 goals from RvP
12 goals from Gerv
10 goals from Walcott
10 from Park (This guy will come good,i am so sure)
5 from (PM + Verm)

with this, the worst that can happen is that we remain stagnant in forth position which isn't a biggie to any realistic arsenal fan right now.
Manure, Chelski and City have literally bought slots into the first 3 spots in the finishing table.
https://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab343/LostSerenity12/wwe4.gif

Yay!  grin grin grin I made it to the first page. Hoping more people who do not think this is weird would chime in.
I still do not get why someone thought this is a good idea. As in, "Oh I cannot make my traditional wedding to my fiancée, I would send my brother instead."  shocked The poor bride (or groom) has to then explain to her kids that their dad could not make the wedding so the man in the picture is representing him.  Weird!  undecided
what's the big deal?
if it bothers the bride so much, they can always do another church wedding later.
Gaming › Re: PES 2012 Vs FIFA 2012: Which Soccer Game Would You Prefer? by coogar: 3:49pm On Aug 30, 2011
i am amazed people still ask these questions. i am not sure anyone played more pro evolution soccer games than i did in the last decade.
pes was the bomb in the era of playstation 2. konami dominated ea sports in those years but since the advent of playstation 3, fifa have taken over.

the people thinking pes is better than fifa these days are still playing games on their old ps2 consoles.
fifa on ps3 is the most realistic football game ever. on hdtv, the bliss is heavenly.

talking about pes2012 vs fifa 2012, it's a no brainer. fifa 12 would win.
fifa has something, konami would never have. that's the ultimate team feature(for gamers who can play online).

if you have never played the ultimate team, you have never enjoyed your ps3 console.
where gamers buy players online with either real money online via playstation network(credit/debit cards) or acquired coins(from winning hundreds of games).

with your coins, you go into bidding wars with other gamers online. 5 star players like messi, ronaldo, etc cost about 1 million coins and they are rare, 4 star players cost less but the goal is to build an ultimate team with the coins you have got and compete with gamers online all over the world. bidding is 24 hours just like ebay. . . . .there's a happy hour slot every week on friday to get the rare opportunity of buying gold packs for cheaper prices. in a gold pack, you can get a messi or ronaldo if you are lucky and so on and forth.

in a nutshell, fifa have taken football gaming to the next level.
konami are miles behind, light years behind. if the op's agenda is to create a gaming event in nigeria, konami would be his best bet. most nigerians are conversant with konami's pes. most nigerians cannot play with manual game pads that fifa have restricted gamers to and most nigerians don't play online because of the slow internet connection. so, konami wins in nigeria, fifa wins overall.

Wesley Sneijder & ManU coach Rene refuses to rule out Manchester United move

- The Netherlands international says he doubts he will be leaving the Serie A club to move to Old Trafford, but is keeping his options open
- United coach has reignited the transfer saga for the Dutch international by insisting a move is still possible, claiming "where there is a will, there's always a way"

Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder is doubtful a move to Manchester United can be finalized this summer, but has added that a lot can happen in the closing stages of the transfer window. "At this point I don't think I will move. But, on the other hand, my move to Real Madrid was solved within eight hours. Things can move fast," the Inter ace told reporters.

The Netherlands international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford throughout the summer, but any possibility of a transfer for the 27-year-old was previously thought to be over. Nevertheless, with Samuel Eto'o having left Inter to join Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala, the Dutchman says he is unlikely to leave the Serie A outfit.

"It was either me or Eto'o to leave Inter and since he has now gone there is no need for Inter to sell me," said the Dutchman. "It would be very strange if something happened now. There is nothing going on behind the scenes."

Meanwhile, United first-team coach Rene Meulensteen fueled speculation that the Premier League champions could make a last ditch bid for Sneijder earlier on Tuesday when he said that a move is still possible.

I don't wanna sound like prophet of doom so perhaps I leave it to Dayokanu to speak about the twin towers of comedy called Naldo and Mertesacker. Perhaps it was Naldo that made Mertesacker look bad, but I leave that to Dayo to deliver his judgement.
naldo is the big man in werder bremen. . . . .naldo carries mertesacker in werder bremen and that was obvious when mertesacker became shyte without naldo last season. mertesacker will be too slow for the premier league considering the fact that wenger plays high line in the defence. samba or cahill should have been signed instead.

mertesacker is shyte. . . . .but his shyteness should be good enough for what arsenal need him for.
i am sure he will get those headed goals like brede hangleland and the fact that he's a no nonsense defender should help arsenal's defence as well.
however, big teams in the premier league will make mockery of him - at his best, he's like robert huth.

arsene is not making more money for arsenal than saf is doing for man utd and yet he gets paid more money than sir alex.
that is the hypocrisy and why most french managers can't stand arsene wenger. . . . .he is in a position where he can help young french players to develop and become world class players. he picks them from france and he underpays them. . . .whilst wenger himself gets paid ridiculous amount.

laurent blanc(france manager)personally told nasri to leave arsenal. . . .wenger underpays talented players and yet you make ridiculous amount for the club and himself. what is that about? besides, had arsenal won 2 or 3 titles in the last 6 years, maybe cesc and fabregas would have been more convinced to stay at the emirates.

You are such a tool. . . If you were French, you name would be Tool-alan. . .27 or 29 goals, how does this change the fact that Messi would have outscored Ronaldo without penalties and without Ronaldo's goals in dead rubber matches? If we could convert stupidity into megawatts, yours will solve our power problem indefinitely.
and his idiocy increases exponentially. . . .
messi can never outscore ronaldo in a league of 38 games. there's nothing like ronaldo scored in dead rubber matches. even if the match is dead rubber to real madrid, it's not dead rubber to ronaldo's opponents who were either fighting to be in the europa league or fighting relegation.
if you were jamaican, your name would be fool-ar ricardo, you rhesus monkey!

Without penalties and goals in dead rubber matches, Messi would have scored 27 goals; Ronaldo, 20.
Messi was Argentina's best player at the last world cup and by some pretty long distance. He was nominated for the Golden Ball award.
Two WPOTY awards and a possible third by the end of the year is enough proof that Messi is better than Ronaldo.
keep telling yourself that. messi and ronaldo competed for the pichichi.
ronaldo kept scoring, messi hit a brick wall. . . . . .retardos like you described the games after la liga have been won as dead rubber. . . . .whereas teams were still playing to stay out of relegation waters or get into european competitions. like i have said, the recipient and donor of your y-chromosomes have a profound influence on you. . . .they were spastics.

You chose to forget that Forlan played in a very good Villareal side that built the team around him. This was the Villareal team that made the CL s/final in 06 and were a Riquelme penalty away from reaching the final in their first CL appearance. United couldn't beat Villareal that season and they finished ahead of United that season in the CL. Of course, Forlan was going to score goals playing in a very good team. SAF didn't do enough to get the best out of him. Of his 80 somn apps, how many were starts? Bringing him on 5-10 minutes before the end of a game was definitely not going to get the best out of him.
forlan played in a good villareal side and that villareal side were better than man utd? what a simpleton!
diego forlan flopped for man utd. he could not cut it in the premier league. he had about 3 seasons to prove himself and the longer he went, the more useless he got. he went to la liga where the most useless defenders ply their trades and he struck gold. end of story!

we have asked you to produce a la liga player fresh from spain that dominated the scoring charts in england. . . . .the task has taken you longer time to finish than counting the strands of your louse-infested pubic hair.

Kanoute played in a Sevilla team that won back to back UEFA cups and a European super cup and were just a few points from winning the league in 2007 compared to Tottenham and West Ham that were struggling to stay up. Of course, he was gonna score goals.
van Nilsterooy would have owned any league he went to and he played in a strong Real Madrid side.
kanoute was shyte in england but he found useless defenders in spain he could toy with. same as forlan and same as guiseppe rossi.
that league is shyte. ex-man utd players have won the pichichi in 05, 07, 09 and 11 and you cannot find just one single player from la liga that has owned the premier league scoring charts in the history of association football - you are a disgrace!

Besides, there haven't been many La Liga strikers that have played in the EPL. Torres had a great first and second season and started having injury problems and things haven't quite worked out for him at Chelsea. Luis Garcia was okay. Morientes was past his prime so was Patrick Kluivert and Albert Luque. Aguero has been on fire so far. 3 goals in 3 apps.
torres had a great first season but he didn't outscore emmanuel adebayor. . . .ronaldo(winger) owned torres throughout.
jose antonio reyes was a liability here. luis garcia was shyte for club and country. morientes was a bigger heap of shyte. kluivert and pique are irrelevant. aguero has been outscored by rooney and dzeko so far.

You are deranged. Weren't you the goat that interpreted this to mean an award?
It was Van der Vaart that carried Spurs on his back when all their strikers went on strike. 13 goals and 9 assits in the league. . . Chicarito scored 13 goals and made 1 assist in the league. . . .
chicharito ended up scoring 20 goals for man utd. how many did van der vaart score? if we take out the number of penalties he scored from his goals, the statistics even become more laughable. if you are not a prospective father of idiotic and autistic kids, you wouldn't even compare chicharito's debut season to van der vaart's. hernandez won that hands down!

and your idiocy keeps defying the Law of Gravity. How did Rossi's name come up in this argument? Has he ever been highest goal scorer? How did Kanoute's name pop up? Has he ever won the Pichichi? You said Nasri was only great for half the season and I said he was Arsenal's third highest creator. Nasri created 58 chances. . . On another day that could have been 15-20 assits and you won't be saying he's shyte. He made three assits against Spurs from 11 chances created. He recorded 1 assist from 58 chances created last season. . .
because rossi(an ex man utd player) scored 32 goals last season. . . . .kanoute who was also a dud player in the epl won african player of the year because he found idiotic defenders like yourself in spain. an award he would never have won in england as there are better african players.

i said nasri was only great for half the season, you said nasri was the 3rd highest creator in the league.
i added nasri was 22nd highest creator, you quickly backed down by saying he was the 3rd highest.

What I don't get is the perverse pleasure you derive from being a f00l huhFigo didn't win the CL in 2001 either. . . Beckham helped United win the league and besides, he was more prolific in the 2001/2002 season than the 98/99 season you said he peaked.
van nistelrooy was prolific for real madrid in 2007.
he peaked at man utd between 2002 and 2004.
it's a disgrace you don't even know the meaning of the word "peak".

And you were right there when intelligence was being shared in heaven and God thought "why waste it?"
If you were twice as smart as you are now, you'd still be an absolutely stupiiid, insensate and docile jenny.
in the punditry of hard currency, your football intelligence is worse than the zimbabwean dollars.
you are a living proof of divine sense of humour - you post replies when you are sure i would have slept off to score cheap brownie points.
pitiful coward. . . . .

Fabregas was the best midfielder in the EPL before he left. Out-assisting and out-creating the Giggs, Lampards and Gerrards. . . He could never win the league because had chokers for teammates.
fabregas was below lampard, gerrard, essien, giggs, scholes, etc before he left.
outassisting and outcreating is also a farce. cesc played plenty of games - more than 100 games as a teenager for arsenal and he's the chief set-piece taker in arsenal.

Ronaldo's record for the Golden Boot reads 40 goals. His record for the Pichichi, 41 goals. Marca awards the Pichichi trophy. . . That's by the way. Ronaldo brings very little when he's not scoring. He's shyte without goals.
40 goals or 41 goals. ronaldo outscored messi by 9 good goals. he scored 8 penalties, messi scored 4.
31-4 = 27 goals for messi
40-8 = 32 goals for cristiano.

ronaldo still outscored messi. ronaldo brings very little when he's not scoring? grin grin grin grin what an indolent twunt.
that's the way his manager wants him to play. the instruction he gets is to score goals for madrid.

While Berbatov was barren in front of goal, Rooney's four goals and two assits helped United reach the CL final. Berbatov scored 20 goals last season. 15 of those goals came in 5 matches. He was a passenger for large spells of the season. He didn't make the bench for the CL final and played no part in the title deciding clash against Chelsea and still you think Berbatov outclassed Rooney in every game. . .Do us a favour and return to the zoo you broke out from, you ugly sow!
your gene donors had a profound influence on you - they were lunatics. grin

15 of those goals came in 5 matches? yet another lie from the lips of an airhead.
prove it berbatov scored 15 of his league goals in only five games.
failing that, you are a lummox.

it's either you have no ability to count well or you are just a pathological liar. berbatov was barren in front of goals and he was the highest goal scorer in the league. your wayne rooney did not score a goal from open play for man utd between march 2010 till jan 2011(a total of 9 months), you obdurate w@nker!

Messi made his debut for Argentina in 2005. Between 94 and 2005, what had Argentina won? You must've been born autistic.
Argentina struggled to qualify for the last world cup and couldn't win the copa on home soil and Brazil couldn't make the last 4 of the copa.
Uruguay were 4th at the last world cup and won the copa. Paraguay were q/finalists at the last world cup and were runners up at the copa. Chile reached the last 16 of the world cup and were q/finalists at the copa. Venezuela, Peru, Colombia are also coming up. The other teams in the region are fast closing the gap on Argentina and Brazil.
what has this gotta do with messi being shyte for argentina. a player that scores 1 goal every 500 mins for country in tournaments is shyte. yes, he's the best club footballer but he's the shittiest star player for his national team. jay-jay okocha has done more for super eagles than messi has done for albicelestes.

France weren't seeded. They've been poor for some time now. They couldn't get past the group stage in Euro 08 and at the world cup. They needed an Henry handball to qualify for the world cup. They lost to Belarus in one of their Euro 2012 qualifiers. France would have been seeded if they hadn't been poor of late though they're getting better under Blanc.
Czech has been nothing since Euro 2004 and Denmark aren't a team to lose sleep over. Italy will qualify comfortably.
Germany will breeze past Sweden and Ireland and Turkey and Romania will not trouble Holland. Neither were at the last world cup.
who's talking about being seeded or not? we are talking about football giants playing in the same group where only of them would qualify automatically and 2nd placed might or might not featured in the play-offs that would take them to the world cup. if you are foolish enough to think european qualifiers are easier then you should shoot yourself in the head and spare us your idiocy.

Its not the players fault, They tried their best to keep the scoreline minimal but Arsenal was just too useless

E.g Nani chipped the ball softly so the opponent cant make a clearance but they were too daft to do it.

Rooney started lobbing the keeper from his half,

Chicharito and Nani were trying to lob the keeper from odd angles just to ease the pains on GAYYners but they were beyond redemption.

As at 60th minute if Man Utd needed to score 10 goals they would have scored it

Cos I Remember Nani missing some chances, Chicharito and even Rooney were playing Only Ashley Young was taking it serious
ashley young was probably too shocked to see how easy it was to sodomize arsenal.
he kept pinging those curlers. . . . . .i have been told szczesny is the bomb but he was culpable for at least 6 of the goals he conceded last night.

rooney's double freekicks. . .
ashley young's curlers
and j s park's low shot.

all of the shots were taken outside the box. cool

This is my speciality embarassed grin

You can carry up to 20kg fish into the UK, however the UK does not allow meat and meat products.

When I travel all I pack is food . . . no clothes; I bring with me things such as Gari, Elubo, Lafun, Beans, Fish, Indomie, Bottled peanuts, Knorr, ogi, yams, iru, onions, funtime coconut chips etc and if I am on a direct night flight I will pack tatashe and ata rodo. I have even carried mortar and pestle so I can enjoy the "real" pounded yam grin grin grin

Ive only been stopped by the UK customs once, they thought that my bottled peanuts was alcohol but they let me go as soon as they realised that it was only peanuts.

I live outside London and It pains me to the bone to buy one small kwashiokor tuber of yam for £5.00 if I can avoid it cool
