montelik:who would you rather have ahead of fletcher in the whole of man utd to do the destroyer job? ryan giggs? |
I personally think Fletcher has zero chance of starting the CL Final. No way his fitness and match sharpness will be ready for a match of that magnitude.
what makes you think fletcher hasn't been playing indoor football @ carrington all these weeks. have you forgotten he featured against schalke, played a reserves game weeks ago? if he completes 90 mins tomorrow without issues, i expect him to start against barcelona. if he has been training at full pelt in the last fortnight, then i will expect him to play in wembley. besides, there's no chance fergie will leave fletcher(a fellow scot) out of the champions league final for the 3rd time. 08, 09 and now 11? no way in hell. |
AjanleKoko:so scoring 85 goals in 88 appearances for real madrid is "beginning to prove himself in la liga"? you messi fan-boys are a disgrace to football punditry. |
debosky:do so at your own peril. ![]() What are these 'key' passes? Secondly, Chamakh's fewer appearances is a major reason he's lower on the goal scoring charts than he should be.key passes are the passes that should have assisted another team-mate scoring a goal. if the team-mate scores the goal, it becomes an assist but if the team-mate fluffs his chance then the pass is forgotten, regardless of the quality of the pass. for instance, wilshere's pass to bendtner @ camp nou is a key pass. because bendtner being a useless striker prevented that pass from becoming a goal-assist. in other words a key pass bears more importance than the goal-assist. swap bendtner for chicharito in that same position, same circumstance then wilshere woulda gotten a goal-assist. get it now? You keep changing goalposts - are we looking at relative contributions or absolute contributions? If relative, then Gyan made a larger contribution. But in terms of individual performances (which is where this discussion started) Chamakh can be argued to have done as well if not better as Gyan, especially when you factor in his CL performances.either relative or absolute, gyan has been better than chamakh. are we going to factor champions league performances(a competition gyan never played)? how do you twunts reason? keep it in the premier league. sunderland faced the same 19 opponents arsenal faced - that is a fair way to look at it. forget the champions league. gyan made more contribution as a player to his club than chamakh. sunderland struggled without gyan. arsenal were better off without chamakh. that is the difference. dipo2much:stop embarrassing yourself on a public forum. sunderland paid 16.5 million for darren bent. so how's gyan's 13 million signing a club record? now let's compare osaze to gyan. osaze(15 league goals in 2682 mins) . . . . .1 goal every 190.8 mins asamoah(10 league goals in 1926 mins). . . .1 goal every 192.6 mins the difference is not as much as you claim especially when odemwingie scored a couple of penalties to rack 15 goals and gyan has been injured for weeks now. the closing stage of the season would have brought out the best in gyan as it has favoured osaze in the past few weeks. |
afrodoc:the only flaw i see in your line-up is you excluded chicharito on your bench. apart from that, the starting line-up is 100% flawless. if we play carrick, anderson and fletcher in the midfield plus valencia and js park supporting rooney, we will murk barcelona. |
duduspace:this statistics actually proved wenger is a useless manager. the financial accounts of chelsea/man utd show the 2 clubs are struggling with either debts(man utd) and low revenue|(chelsea) in comparison to a much healthier arsenal and yet the struggling clubs continue to win titles and arsenal have not won a dime in six seasons. duduspace:i doubt you understand the ffp scheme. the bench-mark is wages/turnover ratio which even puts united ahead of arsenal in the last forbes report. |
debosky:assist stats can be misleading sometimes. if a midfielder lays the same quality of pass for messi and chamakh, he will get more goal assists from messi and fewer goal assists from chamakh. goal assists is highly dependent on the player putting the ball at the back of the net. however, there's statistics for goal assists and there's statistics for key passes. david silva posted 64 key passes in the league. more than any arsenal player and that includes cesc(61) nasri(56) wilshere(56) arshavin(40). http://www.premierleague.com/page/PlayerProfile/0,,12306~44199~2009,00.htmlyou are a fat fool indeed. . . . . .you are comparing sunderland's output as a team to arsenal's? chamakh scored 7 league goals of arsenal's total of 70 league goals.(10% contribution) asamoah scored 10 league goals of sunderland's total of 42 league goals((24% contribution) and we should follow your lead that asamoah and chamakh were on the same level? of arsenal's 233 total shots on target, chamakh contributed just 21 of them.(9% contribution) of sunderland's 142 total shots on target, asamoah contributed 24 shots on target.(17% contribution) http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rankings/4949054/Premier-League-Statistics.html debosky has to be the fattest tool in the sports section. asamoah was a monumental success, chamakh was a gigantic failure. |
HNIC:so you believe chamakh had a better season than asamoah gyan? seriously? |
HNIC:have you seen chamakh's shots before? marouane's feet are very weak. he takes them more feeble than a 2 yr old attempting to kick the ball. |
debosky:you want to compare the contributions of silva and gyan in their respective teams to chamakh's spineless effort this season? you are still a tool. Besides by what measure did Silva have a better individual performance this season (winning FA Cup aside of course)? Despite playing more games than MC, he made only 9 assists compared to MC's 6 and scored 4 goals compared to 7 in the league for Chamakh.david silva is city's best player. chamakh is an out n out striker. comparing him to silva that plays wide is the reason i think you are a tool. silva is the brain behind city's attacking play. i am not a city fan but silva's debut season is miles better than chamakh's. Gyan scored 10 goals compared to Chamakh's 7 in the league, but he started more games. In terms of shot to goals ratio, Chamakh comes out higher.shots to goals ratio? this mumu won't stop opening his gob. asamoah(10 league goals, 24 shots on target) chamakh(7 league goals, 21 shots on target) chamkakh comes out tops indeed, fat fool! ![]() |
HNIC:una don start again, huh? |
HNIC:i am talking about the examples you listed as big flops, not the ones i listed. shevchenko, morientes and forlan won titles, didn't they? |
HNIC:it begs the question. . . . .why are flops attracted to arsenal? all the names above won titles in england, are you aware of that? ![]() |
dipo2much:berbatov van nistelrooy luis suarez fernando torres david silva asamoah gyan |
dayokanu:16th. ![]() |
