you are advertising a car without it's price? you really need to learn how to sell merchandises on the internet. |
buzugee:what do market women, vulcanizers, hairdressers, mechanics use the internet for? we are talking about nigeria ffs not the united kingdom. even the so called students, what do they do on it apart from facebook and other social networking sites? the speed is not enough to watch clips on youtube so what they can do on it is actually limited. "without internet, you are entrapped in a cocoon of one's little world" is the funniest thing i have read on this thread. who told you mobile internet is the only way to get by in nigeria? aren't there cybercafes anymore? |
medjai:his stats are not superior. messi plays in a 4-3-3 formation, ronaldo does not. the system/formation and tactics play a role in the way goals are scored by each team. messi has 2 wing forwards as options(pedrito and villa), ronaldo has none so you don't expect messi/ronaldo to generate the same number of assists. |
montelik:so why then are people clamouring for giggsy to start in the centre of the midfield again? js park would have done a better job tracking barca's midfielders than an oap like giggsy. this is not a game giggs would be suited to. united could have easily started js park and tevez in rome but fergie played giggs in the middle when the same formation had failed against arsenal in the league game. sometimes we overrate experience. It is also unfair to place d entire blame on Giggs. What did Park do in that game but run helter skelter. Unlike Tevez he provide nothing going forward. Anderson was so wasteful in possession he looked like a non-league player. What of Ronaldo and Rooney who got so easily frustrated that even when we managed to get Tevez on and gain some possession they were clueless.the strikers had no service from the midfield at all. i cannot remember any pass from giggs that our strikers failed to convert. they chased for 90 mins trying to win the ball back instead of helping united's attack with through-passes. For me d reason we lost was cos SAF underrated Barca's back line and didn't play his devastating front 3 Rooney, CR & Tevez, simply cos he wanted to include Park.simply because he started giggsy is more apt. park could have easily played as a 3rd midfielder. he plays that same role for his country. he played that role against pirlo last season to nullify the italian magician. it's tough enough playing barcelona's exceptionally excellent midfielders with 3 fit players. including giggs in the mix that night in rome ruined us and if giggs start in wembley, we will struggle. barcelona are different from every club we have played so far this season. they will murder/slaughter/bludgeon us with giggs in the starting line-up. |

montelik:js park started @ the emirates(2nd leg semis) where united blew arsenal out of the water with incisive counter-attacking moves you will ever see. giggs started from the bench in both legs of the semis. with fletcher suspended, fans on mutv wanted js park to replace fletcher because of the korean's energy with tevez starting alongside rooney and ronaldo upfront. fergie went for experience in giggs and it backfired. united must see the ball to get the best of giggs, with barcelona, we are not going to see the ball - so giggs will be useless until when barcelona's midfielders tire out late in the 2nd half. mbulela:we lost in rome because giggs played. that is the summary of that game. giggs was a liability offensively/defensively. he wasn't tracking xavi/iniesta/busquets and he contributed nothing going forward. carrick and anderson were outpassed because giggs did nothing. fergie is a stubborn manager. he had defeated arsenal in the semis with a midfield of carrick-anderson-fletcher. united were so dominant in both legs cesc fabregas was anonymous for 180 mins. in the last league game at old trafford against arsenal in 08/09(that won united the league title), fergie tested his champions league final experiment by playing giggs in the centre of the pitch(fletcher was on the bench - even though he was not suspended for the league game) and arsenal completely played us off the park at old trafford. the match ended 0-0 but arsenal should have won the game with the number of chances they had. barcelona is the rich man's arsenal - any formation that struggles to beat arsenal will lose against barcelona and for that reason, giggs n chicharito must not start in wembley. |
mbulela:i watch plenty of youth football than the football in the top division. . . . . . . pogba is very good. . . .in the mould of vieira or essien. good eye for the killer pass but the tekkers are limited. morrison is supremely talented. he can play anywhere upfront. left side, right side, central and even as a deep-lying striker. his tekkers? silkz!!! his effervescent attitude stems from the environment he was raised. this is a lad that hails originally from longsight, the manchester equivalent to south central los angeles. the entire moss side area is heavily infested with gangs who's interests are mostly drug or gun related. ravel morrison has grown up in this very same area for most of his life and it comes as no surprise that a young man of his background is exposed to the gang lifestyle. even if he isn't directly involved in a gang, its safe to say that many of his close friends would be part of a gang or affiliated in some shape or form. the clip below shows the environment he grew up in without a father figure. . . . [flash=425,400] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCNIfmdQmEM&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3"[/flash] turncliffe, william keane, etc are decent players you will find in almost every academy in the country. nothing too special. . . .but ravel morrison is god! |
mbulela:morrison is the best young player in the country. the most technical english player since paul scholes. he was mercurial last night but sheffield united had a real go. the 2nd leg on monday would be tasty though. i fully expect united to win that cup. |
chamotex:my sentiments exactly. . . . Fergie's got some massive decisions to make . . .why do we need chicharito and giggs to start this game? isn't that an overkill? our plan should be to contain barcelona and hit them on the break. giggs is too lightweight to harry busquets, iniesta and xavi. giggs and chicharito should be part of our plan b. plan a is to prevent barcelona from scoring and nick a goal if an opportunity arises. I dont know . . . but I've got a feeling Fergie has something on his sleeves for this game.we lost in rome because giggsy started. that midfield was begging for a park-anderson-carrick with tevez, ronaldo and rooney starting. fergie kept tevez on the bench to accommodate giggsy and the rest was history. to beat barcelona, we need players who can hurry them into elementary mistakes. will giggsy maintain the same tempo of pressing for 80 mins like our younger players can do? |
medjai:dodgy stats. . . . . . messi has 52 goals in 54 apps not 52 goals in 53 apps |
proudly9ja:why is everyone on chamakh's neck? i have analysed him several times and he seems to be a square peg in a round hole. he is a good striker with average skills set. he is an effective tool to have in a 4-4-2 system but a liability in arsenal's 4-3-3. wenger has to carry the blame here deploying arsenal in his 4-3-3 system. arsenal have no real out n out wingers that can utilize chamakh's strength. in any mid-table team with out n out wingers playing 4-4-2, chamakh would be scoring 20 goals per season easily but he's not suited to arsenal's formation. hannie:i cannot disagree with this. |
buzugee:u keep beating about the bush. i don't blame the companies charging the high prices, i blame our government for not having a regulatory body in place to keep these providers in check. these providers come into the country to invest and the government tax them to the hilt - forgetting it's the consumers that will bear the brunt. the government don't care about the citizens as far as their own stomachs are filled to the brim. the government don't provide an enabling environment for the internet business to thrive. no power supply, no security, etc. the point about living on $2 a day is also weak. that is what average nigerians live on, not the elite. an average nigerian does not care about the internet(except the borrow-posers) who live well beyond their means in the name of "forming". not everyone lives on $2 per day in nigeria. some actually spend $5000 a day in that same lagos. there's a reason the prices are high in nigeria - it is simply because the demand is high. why can't the government provide their own internet service to create a price war with the private companies? ![]() |
Joagbaje:the people playing sunday football in lagos have heard the gospel. whether they choose to enter the church or continue their football is a different matter entirely. who hasn't heard about the king of the jews? who hasn't heard about judas? even the deaf have seen pictures, the blind have heard the scriptures. there's no living soul who hasn't heard about the bible and what transpired on the cross 2010 yrs ago. Of course , people need miracle, miracles attracts people , when they hear that signs and wonders takes place either in a church or crusade , they will go. Nothing is wrong with that. But from the ministers perspective, the greatest miracle is salvation. Healing and other things come after. People can be attracted by the physicak things God can do for them , but when they come , we introduce them to the God of the miracle first. So nothing is wrong if they came for that. Those who went after Jesus had different reasons, some miracles, they said " show us a sign" some others came for food. But when they come, he points them to the word of God.i don't disagree with all you have said but i still think nigerian pastors should complete a task of visiting the sick in the hospitals and heal them. lazarus was brought back to life in his tomb. the 12 yr old girl was brought back to life in his father's house. when has any nigerian pastor walk to the house of the afflicted and perform a miracle in there? |
buzugee:the infrastructure is in place over here. in my area, there are about 12 different unsecured networks i can log on to any-time of the day. bt's hotspot is growing massively and it will get to a point you won't even need to subscribe to use the internet. internet usage here is the equivalent of owning ceiling fans in nigeria. |
buzugee:i use talk-talk too. the package is housephone/broadband, i don't know how much i pay. ![]() |
buzugee:power(no power supply from the govt, these providers generate their own power supply) security(no adequate security in nigeria, these providers employ their own security outfits to protect their facilities). licensing(the providers were milked dry by the govt before being allowed to operate. they have now turned on the consumers to recuperate). |
2muchlogic:the govt spent it by buying properties for their girlfriends/concubines in abuja and lagos environs. |
Joagbaje:you are the one missing the point. the gospel has reached everyone in nigeria. there's no living soul in that country who has not heard about the gospel. that issue has been overflogged already. even a domestic animal in nigeria knows the gospel with about 6 different churches on every street you turn in lagos. people actually go to these crusades to be healed/ridden of their poverty. these pastors earned their status with their ability to heal or perform jaw-dropping miracles. if it was all about preaching the gospel and analysing the scriptures, none of them will have 1,000 followers let alone fill up a 60,000 capacity stadium. |
Joagbaje:the chances of these miracles being fixed by holding crusades in villages/school fields is still high. is it until pastors hold crusades/concerts before miracles can be performed? let pastor chris remove his jacket one tuesday afternoon, go to ojota motor park and heal the blind people populating the park. let him go unannounced and perform the miracle - then people will stop taking him for granted. holding crusades in villages don't quite cut it. whether i invite you to my house in lagos or i invite you to my house in the village, my house is still my house. |
It sounded funny when it first crossed my mind but i checked out the info and found out it's true. You guys can add your tips but this are the ones i noticed. Anywhere you are in the Diaspora, you will be 90% correct if you spot a girl with the following characteristics. 1, Excessive make up and accessories. 2, A blackberry phone even though she doesn't look well Kept. 3, Artificial hair, mostly not done well enough to pass as though it's real. If you spot any girl with the above traits, behold you have just spotted a Naija girl no matter where you are. ![]() Cheers!
i had to giggle on that one. |
Joagbaje:moving around cities, villages and teaching in the synagogues is quite different from what the modern day pastors do. there's nothing morally wrong in these pentecostal pastors walking lagos streets with humility and healing the ones afflicted. this method will go a long way to convince unbelievers there's power in their "words". |
mcnepow:they are there to make profits - they aren't charitable organizations. the nigerian government milked them dry for the licenses and other issues forgetting it's the common man that suffers the effect. the government don't care as long as they make their own money. by the time these companies work out the checks & balance, the math puts it at 16,000 per month internet bill for the customer - you! |
Orikinla:run far away from them. you are what you attract. if you attract the unhygienic and the promiscuous, you are probably insalubrious and unchaste. |
paris10:my only problem with these miracle pastors is. . . . .why don't they go to the hospitals to heal people? why does the healing only take place within the 4 walls of their churches. oyak, adeboye, ashimolowo and oyedepo are mobile. why don't they stop at kano street in ebutte-metta and heal all the blind folks there in one massive swoop. |
