elampiro:you are a proper olodo. unless you know how much weight given to strength in the algorithm used to calculate physical, you cannot just conclude that strength is already incorporated in physical stat. look at the numbers again & see how akinfenwa beasted everyone else. Secondly, if CR7 has higher mark than Robben, then I have seen one player who has power than Robben. This is the genuine measurement. There is no any yeye algorithm. The only algorithm is the one off physical stat you presented that puts Suarez above Akinfenma.the truth is coming out...... after telling us in the last 3 days that robben is the most powerful player in the world, you have now surrendered that ronaldo is more powerful? if we go with your formula of adding all the attributes under physical together, then it's not only ronaldo that is more powerful than robben. messi & tevez are also more powerful. your formula also says di maria is more pawaful than phil jones. your formula also says kagawa is powerful than phil jones & tony valencia. even a goat must know your formula does not in any way prove who is more powerful. anyways, i am sure you get the point now that strength & stamina are the most important factors in determining who is more powerful, not balance as you first claimed. |
MrTA:cleverley loves playing at wembley - if he had stayed, he woulda also improved like young, fellaini, etc. |
Ibime: Chelsea went away to Schalke and flogged them 5-0 in their home stadium, yet Schalke are 5th on the log. Can Chelsea beat any EPL team in the top-10 by 3 goals even? Even at home, we could not beat any EPL team by more than four goals, talkless of 5-0 away from Home.moyes clocked 9-1 aggregate against leverkusen last season & they were second on the table. every manager has said the premier league is the toughest league in the world - the money across the board ensures the strength is fairly distributed. @ nihilist.... kane got his 20th league today, 30 goals this season already. are you a believer now? |
elampiro:if he's lazy, why would he become the strongest player in FIFA for 2 years running? You said Suarez is 79. Ukwu!!! So Suarez is the strongest footballer abi?suarez's physical is 79 suarez's strength is 76 akinfenwa's physical is 78 akinfenwa's strength is 97. Go back to the real stats- the 8 items. Robben is the highest among you mentioned. Robben has 663 total. Now case closed finally finally.ronaldo has 693 in total and yet he's not the strongest. the parameters weren't added together like a + b + c. an algorithm was used to determine who the most physical players are in the world. robben wasn't among the top 1000 players. |
elampiro:if strong doesn't mean football power, it must mean football weakness. why would FIFA - a football organisation rates a player's strength on other factors apart from football? He is only strong. We are talking of football power. When they keep saying Robben has pace and power.that's exactly my point! akinfenwa = 78(physical) robben = 64(physical) any more excuses? ![]()
|
elampiro:FIFA officially named him the strongest player in the world. so yes....you should google him. * Why do you want me to pay attention to the last two when we have 8. Even Akinfenwa is weak in stamina and you still say he has football power. Someone who will gas out if he were to chase Januzaj twice.because the last 2 is what propelled akinfenwa to be the strongest in the world in 2 seasons in a row. |
homesteady:you are a doddering senile monkey - sanchez scored 12 la liga goals in his debut season. who doesn't know this? there are more than 300 sports sites that can confirm this. go to wikipedia and see for yourself. taaa! in his 1st season in la liga - he had the best supporting midfielder the world could present, yet he ended up with 11 goals, while Messi scored 50 goals!only a monkey reasons this way. there's more than 720 mins difference between his la liga stats & premier league stats. that's about 9 league games he's played more @ arsenal. so you expect a player of sanchez quality not to score more when he's played 9 more games? you have the brain capacity of a mollusc! |
elampiro:akinfenwa is. google him Robben doesnt get bullied off the ball?robben isn't strong on the ball. this is why he dives. he dives to protect himself from the big bullies. How is Pogba and Emenike the most powerful?are you really asking this question? Pogbapay attention to the bolded items. |
Nihilist:you cannot isolate games..... there have been games aguero & costa have been pure wänk too. the overall tally at the end of the season would give a clearer picture. this is kane's first bite of the action and you cannot say you haven't been impressed by the young fella. he's tied aguero & costa up till now and there are plenty of games left in the sack to determine the golden boot winner. considering he plays for a poorer side than chelsea or man city, he's been the best striker for me as of yet. up until the premier league kicked off, none of us knew kane was going to light up the league like he's done. stop hating..... |
Nihilist:but he's right.... if harry kane posts a better stats than aguero this season then he would be the better striker(this season). if kane repeats the same feat next season then it would be cemented that he's better than aguero. stats don't lie.... |
SailorXY:kompany killed daley blind with that tackle. carrick just hobbled off the pitch, he's old so his case is understandable. we can't rely on Carrick next season, another intelligent grafter is paramount!•pogba •vidal •bender •gundogan |
elampiro:so what is football power? akinfenwa sent an email to FIFA when he heard of a rumour that he would lose his first place as the most powerful player in the world. he said he's going to challenge whoever wins his place to a bench-pressing task. FIFA quickly replied him that no one can take his place and he retained his title. all these physical components count.... robben has pace but he has no power. ramires has pace & stamina but no strength. i fail to see how you can put robben & ramires in the same echelon when they have varying physical attributes. Now that it's obvious we are not on same page on what it means when it's said a player is having pace and power, I wonder how I am going to be describing such players to you guys understanding. Even commentators and sports journalists frequently use 'pace and power' for Robben.pace, yes power, no. you are the one using the word power loosely. robben gets easily bullied off the ball.....although much of it is him being cheeky and trying to cheat the officials but he's powerless against physical monsters like bony, emenike, toure or pogba. those are FIFA's most powerful players. |
SailorXY:apart from positional awareness & the lack of long passes from deep, he did very well in my opinion. he got busy but not having him next to mata ruined the chemistry in the final third. rooney failed in herrera's previous role - most of rooney's passes were sideways & the passes didn't hurt chelsea. |
homesteady:you are a pathological liar.... sanchez scored 12 league goals in 1694 mins in his debut season in la liga. he has scored 14 league goals in 2413 mins in arsenal. he has found it more difficult to score in england than in spain despite the fact he's become a better player in england. |
codedguy1:both managers approached the game the right way. jose didn't need to win, we needed to. we couldn't have gone to SB and park the bus like jose did. jose could do it because all he needed to do was to avoid defeat. committing men forward like we did means we could be vulnerable at the back but we are bound to create scoring chances. chelsea capitalised on one of those vulnerable moments and scored. when we created those scoring chances, we failed to capitalise and get the reward for the risks we were taking. rooney missed 2 good chances that could have been that reward. shaw's key pass & the free header rooney got from a corner kick. the result was our fault! bigkesh:hazard scoring a goal against united does not mean he's not overrated. tadic scored a winner against united at old trafford , is he world class? |
elampiro:akinfenwa is the strongest player in the world. he's rated 97(strength) but his overall physical score is 78. blind's overall score is 77. suarez is 79. walcott, robben & hazard are 64. Your Walcott speed argument has been taken care of in my previous posts. It's hereby render useless.that was after you confessed your definition of pawa = pace & power abi nor be you write this one? elampawa: The post is saying, power in football (usually used while referring to pace and power), is not about body built. |
Gbawe:senility & creeping neurosis have crept in on femi aribisala. hopefully, Buhari would pay for his medical bills to bring him back to normalcy. don't blame this old man, blame the lunatics putting a microphone before his mouth. the nigerians youths are not acknowledged at all - this is why doddering fools like aribisala are still relevant. |
elampiro:and how did you know the solution was a straight addition of both parameters? this is my problem with you. you make your own argument & then prove it is wrong. what makes you think power isn't strength + 10% of stamina divided by 5? or some other variables added to it. how can you just conclude its a straight addition of both parameters? at the end of it all - akinfenwa is 78 physical while blind is 77 physical. simple logic would tell you the emphasis on strength had more weight than stamina in the algorithm used to determine their overall physical score. it couldn't have been as straight forward as you put it by adding x + y. I have to go.happy sunday! |
elampiro:so you knew this before and you were using balance alone to prove a player is more powerful? you should face-palm! Reaction has everything to do with power. Lazy players won't react fast. Someone like Mikel.reaction is a mental attribute. nothing to do with power. Ukwu!!!lies..... they are the core components of physical, not power. robben is rated 64 physical by FIFA & toure is rated 90. as you can see, your theory falls flat on its face. The bolded reveals to me you did not do outdoor sports. Stamina is about how durable one can last. Normally, slim players should last longer if they have done the right exercises from childhood. Slim athletes who burn much energy training long hours from childhood should have more stamina. This is why marathon runners have so much stamina. When I was playing, I had a lot of stamina. I could do 1,500 meters very well, beating those who beat me in sprint race. My sprint speed was later increased when I was introduced to weight lifting. But weight did not alter my slim built, the power is inside my body.i said power = strength & stamina. stop isolating either of the attributes or adding the 2 together like simple arithmetic. it could be strength + 1/2 of stamina or some weird calculations that wouldn't be straight forward like adding them together on equal weights. Sprint is part of power. FIFA acknowledges this. Why distorting facts? When you watch football and you see someone run with so much energy, force and consistently over 40-50 yards, just know that player has power. If the speed fluctuates, the person doesn't have power.robben - 64 physical blind - 77 physical. blind is more physical than robben & there are more than 1000 players in the world with more physical attributes than robben. even if we agree that your own definition of pawa must include pace then walcott is more pawaful than robben. walcott has 96 pace & 64 physical. I might not be able to respond again. I will be too busy.it doesn't matter whether you reply or not. you have made the u-turn yourself by acknowledging balance has very little to do with power. |
elampiro:plenty of them on FIFA15. many of them are even silver-rated. low quality players with plenty of physical attributes. stop arguing with someone who builds teams on FIFA. It's you your simple IQ has failed because I have proven that Robben has power based on stat. Of all the players you guys said have power more than Robben, stats show he beat them in physical attributes. If at all there is a footballer out there with higher score under physicality, then it means the footballer has power more than Robben.he doesn't have more power. look at the subsets of the physical stats. are you trying to argue reactions has something to do with power? ![]() acceleration has nothing to do with power. jumping has nothing to do with power. sprint speed has nothing to do with power. yet, you have all these things under physical. the only 2 stats you need under physical to determine power are stamina & strength. The post is saying, power in football (usually used while referring to pace and power), is not about body built.how can this post say that? power is different from pace. everyone knows what pace is. no one would argue robben is pacier than toure......but toure is powerful than robben. stop lumping 2 different distinctive attributes together. |
elampiro:which facts are you reeling out? do you know how many players that have more than 663 as their total physical attributes? what has physical attributes gotta do with power? you have failed simple IQ test, kiddo. Balance is just one component. I was buttressing my earlier point that physical muscle or body built has nothing to do with power- when talking about pace and power in football, I can never say Daniel Shittu has pace and power. Neither would I say Super Eagles Ogbude has pace and power. But Ramires has pace and power. Sanchez has pace and power. Kagawa doesn't have pace and power even if he has one or two components going for him.so explain this post of yours then.... https://www.nairaland.com/871307/official-manchester-united-fan-thread/1571#32872050 |
elampiro:i like how you claim moral victories when you have been exposed as an illiterate. balance has less to do with power than agility. the more agile a player is, the more likely he's going to keep the ball even when challenged because he can twist & turn as he pleases. * You have shot yourself. As you claim, if agility determines balance, how come Lahm with less agility than Robben has more balance.if balance is just one component of power, why did you just isolate balance in your previous posts? according to FIFA..... Balance is how well can your player stay standing on their feet? Helps determine how well they can make sharp turns and such. Agile players normally have more balance. This can factor into when your player is shielding the ball. This also applies to changing direction. Philippif you didn't use balance as the sole determinant of strength, i wouldn't have used phillip lahm as my reference. you know your point falls flat in the face if you think lahm has more power than yaya toure. Remember, stats are facts.i never partook in the argument from the outset but when you made balance the sole determinant of power, i had to shut you down for such a big lie. kagawa has 93 agility & 91 balance. by your logic, kagawa who you deemed as an indomie player has the same power as robben? kagawa is stronger than sanchez, toure and rooney? get the fück outta here with your village analysis. |
elampiro:i have been playing FIFA for more than 15 years and what you typed above is rubbish. agility is what balances a player, not power and strength. robben has the most power in football? sell this lie to stark illiterates. phillip lahm has more balance than robben. by your definition, lahm is more powerful than robben? ![]() |
elampiro:i have been playing FIFA for more than 14 years and what you typed above is rubbish. agility is what balances a player, not power and strength. robben has the most power in football? sell this lie to stark illiterates. phillip lahm has more balance than robben. by your definition, lahm is more powerful than robben? ![]() |
sirlaw2:he's an illiterate. how can anyone think i was referring to this season after i said a couple of additions would take us to the title is baffling. elf has the IQ of a culex mosquito. elampiro:so robben & rooney have more power than yaya toure? you know nothing about football. balance isn't power - some players cannot be easily knocked off the ball because they are very agile & skilful when in possession. it's got little to do with strength! agility has much more to do with balance than strength. |
larride:LVG said it was the best performance this season. he said he was happy with the performance but disappointed with the result. we are not far away from the title, people. a couple of attacking additions and a top defender and we would be there. |
MrTA:we could have started rooney in the attack and still lose. how many open play goals has rooney gotten against john terry? you could count them on your left hand. hindsight is 20-20. there was nothing wrong with the personnel & formation. we played well, we dominated & couldn't have asked for more. you still have to go back to the chance that rooney missed. if he had scored from there, everything changes. jose would have had to remove one of his defensive beasts for an attacking player which would have freed up space for us to batter them. |
tess1:yes, i agree with you that jose is a hypocrite but i can not begrudge his tactical approach. it's been 5 years since they won the league....not too many chelsea fans would care how they go about it. he did what he had to do & he delivered the 3 points. his team had entertained for most parts of the season. they earned the right to play the way they did today. we had our moment to change the complexion of the game but we missed that golden chance. we contributed to jose's tactical approach. |
afrodoc2:that is because there aren't many technically gifted players in the team today who can thread a pass from deep positions. carrick & blind messed up with their injuries. the wrongest time ever to get injured. let's just hope they would be back for next weekend. |
afrodoc2:falcao played well today - the question is, how many midfield passes got to him quickly enough? the answer is zero. think of mata's goal last weekend. one slide rule pass from daley blind to rooney cut man city to shreds....and it was easy for rooney to feed mata. we had nothing of sort today - rooney never made one vertical pass forward tonight. those sideway passes are a joy to defenders - it allows them to regroup before the crosses go into their box - it slows down the attacking play. |
MrTA:i think blind & carrick would have offered more in terms of incisive passes. shaw actually did play well. he gave ivanovic hell on that channel but chelsea defended very well. zouma was the 5th defender - he gave terry the freedom to vacate his space & hound falcao all over. we did quite well concerning the circumstances but if we had the same team of last weekend, we would have scored at least one goal in that opening 20 mins. none of the players in our midfield today had the awareness required to play in that role. herrera is a good tackler but his positional awareness is average. larride:i expected at least one goal in that opening 20 mins. it's embarrassing that we didn't punish chelsea in that period. they were disorganised in that little spell but they got better as the game wore on. once they scored, it was always going to be difficult to peg them back. |
mike dean got bribed...... there's no way he can claim he didn't see terry fouled falcao leading to their goal. |

even a goat must know your formula does not in any way prove who is more powerful. anyways, i am sure you get the point now that strength & stamina are the most important factors in determining who is more powerful, not balance as you first claimed.
