AirborneLacer: This says nothing bruh.so what do you call a striker that featured in 3 tournament games & failed to score? what do you call a striker that scored all the tournament goals for his country? there lies your answer - that tournament was in summer of 2011. welbeck got his call-up like few months later & sturridge was ignored. numbers don't lie! |
that was a dopë verse from ulqu3 but he's a mumu for leaving all those horrible brackets in his verse. some of his spellings are wrong too - he should clean it up & re-edit the autocorrect nonsense of NL |
AirborneLacer: Big Bruh you've been reading the wrong dailies.which mundial? lol sturridge that didn't score a single goal performed & welbeck that got all the goals england scored in that tournament performed below sturridge? let me have what you are smoking, bro. welbeck was the only bright spark as far as creativity was concerned. smalling had a brilliant tournament too but that's typical of england to always have good defensive players. creativity na their biggest issue. |
elampiro: Don't mind Ancelotti, if they really wanted Di Maria to stay, Madrid would pay anything to keep him. The whole world knows that.exactly, why get involved. the beef was between florentino perez & di maria. di maria wasn't galactico enough for him & he got rid. young players should avoid madrid cos the club have a"use & dump" policy - no loyalty, no remorse. now, they want to make it look like di maria forced the move. why would a CL-winner want to jump ship & come to united who aren't even competing in europe? carlo ancelotti is a disgrace if he feels anyone would buy his spin. SailorXY:na you go chase bimfo comot for NL. ![]() |
elampiro: Di Maria chased the money to Manchester United - Ancelottiancelotti is a bastärd for making this comment. i hate these stùpid managers who let club owners use them like rabid dogs in other to protect the integrity of the club. florentino perez deliberately chased di maria away. when i read di maria's letter, i nearly cried. he gave madrid everything. he never wavered & kept it real like a professional. they went to buy james based on his brilliant world cup & someone had to be made the sacrificial lamb. di maria became that lamb as he had no one to protect his stock & yet this obese hypocritical twit is painting the picture in another way. The Letter My time at Real Madrid has come to an end. It's impossible, in just a few lines, to put all I have gained here, but this letter is my way of explaining how I'm feeling now that I'm bidding the club farewell. Over the four years I have had the honour of wearing this shirt, I have felt nothing but pride about everything that has happened and all I have achieved together with my teammates. Sadly, now I have to go, but I want to make it clear that this was never my wish. I've always wanted to progress, as anyone else does in their job. I went to the World Cup after winning the 'Decima' with the hope of getting some signal from the Club Management, but it never came. Many things were said and many lies circulated. They always wanted to pin the idea of leaving the club on me, but that's not how it was. Unfortunately, my football isn't to someone's taste. The only thing I asked for was a fair deal. There are many things that I value and a lot of them have nothing to do with my salary. I hope to find them at Manchester United, one of the biggest clubs in the world, with which I'm hoping to make history. I've been lucky enough to share a dressing room with some fantastic players, who have been even better teammates. I think that was the key to winning the Tenth Champions League. I want to apologise for the times I made mistakes, on or off the field. It was never my intention to do wrong by anyone. I sweated for this shirt every game as if it were the last. There were times when things went well, and times when they didn't, but what I can say is that I always gave it everything. I want to thank Spain for everything it's given me and especially for being the country where my daughter was born. And I would like to send a very special thank you to the people at the Montepríncipe hospital, who will always be in my heart. My wife, daughter and I will be forever grateful. Also to my teammates, who always supported me, in good times and bad, to the various coaching teams I've worked with and also to all the people who work at the club on a daily basis, who I have a great relationship with. I hope that Real Madrid have a great season and achieve the ambitions the club is always keen to push for. That moment at the Bernabéu in the 'Supercopa' when I came onto the pitch and was greeted with such great affection from the crowd will stay with me forever. Thank you so much. It still gives me goosebumps. I could not think of a better farewell for what turned out to, unfortunately, be my last game. Hala Madrid! Always and forever! Angel Di Maria |
AirborneLacer: This is what I call sound reasoning.larry izamoje must have told you this crap! ghana my white bütt! welbeck has always been the better talent & welbeck got capped first because of his performance not because of some ghana rumours. ghana had enquired about welbeck as far as 2008. welbeck didn't get his first cap till november 2011. what shot welbeck to the limelight was his performance at the under 21 european championship - he was the only english striker that kept scoring while sturridge had a super-woeful tournament. welbeck's stock rose, sturridge's stock drowned. SailorXY: so Fabregas & Costa collect 200k each per week?well.... this is why we are here to defend this our temple & ward off invaders like bimfo before they stain the sanctity of this holy ground. we united fans always have the facts - they just open their mouths to talk rubbish ![]() |
Dhellake: Sturridge scored 8 in 12 games for Bolton, I am sure there was no Suarez or Coutinho at Bolton to feed him passes, he got into double figures for Chelsea without this guys, Welbeck got his cap early so as not to play for Ghana, both got capped same year, so that doesn't even shows that he has a better talentso because he didn't want to play for ghana was the reason he was capped for england? who is this funny dude? ![]() i doubt you watch football cos until sturridge moved to liverpool, no one rated him at all. he was too selfish & he lacked football intelligence. |
Dhellake: 6 goals in 26, that doesn't show him as a better talentit does - considering the shyte midfield he had behind him. he was the better talent, the one with the better football brain. sturridge is just a trigger-happy player. he shoots from all angles & he gets the lucky break. there's a reason welbeck got into 3 lions way before sturridge did. brendan rodgers revived sturridge when he partnered him with suarez & coutinho was feeding them with quality passes. even till today, sturridge hasn't sorted his selfishness. he frustrated the life out of suarez. |
Dhellake: Forget about national team, Bernard plays for Brazil while Coutinho doesn't, as at 08/09 season, Sturridge was already starting league games, he played 16 games, scored 4, 3assists, Scored 8 goals in 12 while on loan at Bolton, He dribbles better, obviously has more football intelligence than Welbeck, how then was Welbeck a better"TALENT"??welbeck was the better talent! until sturridge went to liverpool & brendan rodgers played him in his preferred position. welbeck couldn't enjoy such luxury in united cos united have always had quality strikers in their book. go & look at welbeck's record for sunderland & how he destroyed chelsea at stamford bridge when he was on loan. he was miles ahead of sturridge until recently. welbeck will shine for arsenal unless wenger shoves him to the wing again. |
Chillisauce: You are right, men don't cry out because they suppress it and it manifests in beating up their wives, cheating even killing the said wife etc.i actually believe men don't cry cos he cannot be manipulated into marrying who he doesn't want in the first place. if the pressure gets too much, he would leave the church & find another. na naija women dey carry church & pastor for head so much that anything he says is seen as the speech of their maker. In Nigerian society, pressure put on men involves making money. While the woman is believed to be a wife which Is to support the husband . You can see from our very own nairaland waiting for the heads to which their minds believe they are the neck. So imagine the headless being walking around aimlessly looking for the "head"so the nigerian society pressure the man to make money & pressure the woman to find a husband? so how come naija men don't scream out they have been manipulated to make money like the women are screaming they were manipulated to marry? in this day & age, any woman that falls for such tricks fully deserve it. if she's college-educated, she even deserves it in multiples of 50. it's not written anywhere in the bible that a pastor can choose groom or bride for anyone. i can't remember one incident of christ choosing a husband for anyone. A man struggles to make ends meet, people cursing him out, not calling him man enough blah blah blah. A woman not married, they cuss out too.people must be idle there to be listening to such chitchats - when people stop listening, rumour merchants would put their mouths elsewhere. who cares about who's married & who isn't? so the pressure is what's making ladies in their 30s & 40s to strip in church cos they are looking for husbands? such women should be put in prison for gross stüpidity! I have an aunt whom her husband is a stay at home dad. He does biz by the side but most of the money for property, feeding everything comes from the woman. The mans family has rejected him (saying he is not man enough) but always goes behind to ask him for funds. Very funny society .why is he listening to them? family rejection? lolololol. less responsibilities to worry about. ![]() Until we as an individual say what you want for yourself, nothing is gonna be done.i think naija men are faring better in this than the women. not everyone would marry. some people are naturally not suited for marriage. some people are naturally not suited to even raise children cos they are kids themselves. the society will always have this kinda people & people should respect that instead of forcing every tom, dïck & harry into marriage. |
montelik, now is the time to look away. www.nairaland.com/attachments/1672541_image_jpeg9f360c5ab7736510df54c882e9dbf188 it turns out united are actually the healthiest & this was when we had about 40 squad players under fergie. enough deadwoods milking the club dry. after van gaal's massive clearout, you can bet we won't even reach 50% wage/turnover ratio this season. we are very very very healthy!!! |
montelik: The same genius that wanted to turn us into the Harlem globetrotters just to cover the shortfall of missing out on Europe, thank God both Moyes and LVG put their foot down. You can chose to believe the rosy reports. I will take a more sceptical stance that actually deals with the less rosy details e.gthat report is nonsense - woodward himself has said united missing out of europe for a couple of seasons won't mean shyte. united still sold the highest number of shirts in the PL last season even after finishing 7th. 76,000 fans coming to watch football will not suddenly reduce cos united aren't playing in europe? relegated teams in the PL make more money than european champions except the winner is an english club. montelik: United's combined broadcasting and matchday revenue from Europe has fallen in the last three years from £59.7m in 2011 to £38.9m in 2013.hahahaha - in 2011, we played in the final at wembley & that means we went all the way from the group stage playing 13 CL games. surely, the more games we play, the more money we get from TV. 1) that statistics is fraudulent 2) the loss is negligible. selling büttner, bebe & welbeck have pretty much covered the loss you are scared about. There are numerous other pitfalls like these that are either ignored or glossed over. Woodward announces a big figure, impressive % increases and everyone goes gaga, but take a critical look at the books and dig deep into the fine print of official correspondence (the ones they dare not lie in or fail to disclose true positions) and you start seeing it isn't quite as it initially looked.we are very ok - if you want to dwell on the money spent & not the money taken from player departure then you are the one preaching the gloom & doom stories. so what exactly do you think would happen to money made from the players sold? Don't worry by the time the detailed prospectus for the Glazer's new £80m share sale proceed comes out, you will see when they give the true position of affairs to NYSE or they run somewhere else that doesn't have stringent standards to make the offer.that's teaspoonful of water in an ocean. levels don change now. we won't spend close to £150m if we are broke. Are we broke? Far from it. Are we rich? Yes. Can we afford a spending splurge? To a degree, but the Glazers have never and will never put a penny from their pocket as a direct investment in the club, so spending like we have a sugar daddy is not advisable.the club generates money itself - more money than most sugar daddies can actually afford. no single club in the UK has our level of turnover. actually, if you remove the magomago TV deals madrid/barca get, united are the richest in the universe in terms of turnover. merchandise is still there, sponsors are there. we don't need the glazer money - i don't expect the glazers to spend a penny otherwise FFP will come after us like they are doing to monaco, city & chelsea. |
Spy360: You cant start van Persie and Falcao at the same time. Both will cancel out each other. Read me?van persie is a good passer of the ball, if he drops deep, falcao would enjoy playing with him. the 2 of them can form a deadly partnership. Odunharry: NORWAY defender Vegard Forren has added some much needed spice to England's upcoming friendly, bythere's no lie in what he said - rooney is too fat to be a footballer. he should consider traditional wrestling. lest i forget, where's elfenomeno1? ever since his champions league quality arsenal got our danny welbeck & we got falcao, the dude has been relatively quiet here. our 5th best striker is arsenal's top striker. ![]() |
zboyd: According to investigations, the church known as Canaan Land Deliverance Church a.k.a Land of Miracles is located at Oraukwu hall, Fegge Onitsha & operates @ night mostly on weekend, especially on Fridays when they usually perform deliverance night. It was gathered that the owner of the “church” Pastor Ekenechukwu Chukwunyerem is an ex-drug addict, a convicted man. Investigations show that the church forces single girls seeking marriage to strip nakëd in an open church what they termed “breaking of marriage curses”.i cannot put that bolded bit beyond nigerian women. they have been gullible ever since lot's wife became a pillar of salt. i wonder how men looking for wives are never put through such nonsense. |
Chillisauce: Better they remain single and searching until they finally get what they want than jump into the kind of scary relationship we read about these days.that's not the issue - my issue is why is it that it's only the women that cry out they have been brainwashed/manipulated into marrying someone they never wanted? is there juju in our churches? hypnosis? abracadabra or what? when will today's women ever take responsibility for the wrong choices they make in life? i don't see how i can ever be manipulated or deceived to marry a woman i don't connect with. that's just hard for me to believe. |
montelik: First theses figures are wrong Rio, who was on a one year rolling contract was not on 100k. Zaha on 35k is a joke, also we are contributing to his wages as he is on loan.biko, rio being on rolling contract means his contract got renewed every year, if he was still here, we would be paying him £100k/week. zaha is on loan to crystal palace, he's palace's problem, not us. the 2 players we have on loan & are our responsibility are nani & zaha. nani because he served as a makeweight for the rojo signing & falcao because we have the option to make his deal permanent. every other player on loan is not our responsibility. then consider the wages we handed out this window, agent fees, not to mention signing bonuses that would have been necessary (no European footy).the wages we handed out have been outweighed by the wages we got rid of. do the math from the ins & outs. besides, the TV money we got this season is much more than that of last season. the prize-money would take care of bonuses, agent fees, etc. new bigger contracts for Rooney and RVP , the parachute payment to Moyes, as well as the expected drop in revenue, they will have to do some magic accounting to keep the ratio below 60%.RVP's contract hasn't moved an inch. he's been collecting £250k/week since 2012. rooney's wages is £250/week & united gives him £50k/week for anything they make on his image rights. with rooney being rooney & now the captain of his club & country, rooney is potentially our slave for the rest of his contract. moyes parachute payment is a farce. if he was here, he would be getting paid as well, won't he? if he was here we wouldn't have gotten falcao & di maria. on those 2 players alone, hundreds of thousands of shirts would be selling from columbia to argentina & to all other parts of the world. we are very very healthy! if i should list all our primary, secondary & tertiary sponsors on this page, you would be dazed. i won't be surprised the gas station in your area sponsors united. ed woodward is a genius when it comes to selling the brand to the blind, deaf & dumb. the money is no issue, you should worry about the performance. |
elampiro: Salary of players sold or retired this window = £607, 000. Salary of players loaned (excluding Nani) = £85,000.donkeykanu, nihilist & montelik. debosky: Better than Giroud? I'm not sure he's shown that level of quality yet. . . .I just hope Wenger doesn't even dream of playing him wide. Just put him in the middle and make him run.just play him in the centre forward position. welbeck will run his bollocks off for you & hassle the opposition. his finishing needs work but then giroud is worse off. |
MrTA: I'm still sad about Welbeck leaving.he will score 20 goals for arsenal! i know & i'm sure welbeck is better than giroud. |
afrodoc2: Yeah but the debate is not on Rooney or RVP. Everyone knows that a fully fit RVP is a better striker than a fully fit Rooney.RVP is still as good as it gets, his movement to take mata's pass against burnley was top draw. the goalie was lucky to block his shot. he needs time to get past the rustiness. his lack of preseason is why he looks a bit dodgy. If this RVP issue persists throughout this season that would make 2 WASTED SEASONS, and the clock is ticking....he ain't no spring chickenwe all saw him at the world cup, he didn't look tired or spent. he scored against spain & brazil. that's as good as it gets. who else does that at his age? RVP's age is a farce - drogba was almost 33 when he won the golden boot for chelsea in 2010. lest i forget, this is for the folks who think united's wage/turnover ratio would hit 90% this year. this is our ins/outs..... Manchester United Players in: Luke Shaw (Southampton, £30m), Ander Herrera (Athletic Bilbao, £28.8m), Vanja Milinkovic (FK Vojvodina, undisclosed). Ángel di María (Real Madrid, £59.7m), Marcos Rojo (Sporting Lisbon, £16m), Daley Blind (Ajax, £14m), Radamel Falcao (Monaco, loan). Players out: Rio Ferdinand (QPR, free), Nemanja Vidic (Internazionale, free), Ryan Giggs (retired), Alexander Büttner (Dynamo Moscow, £4.4m), Federico Macheda (Cardiff, free), Vanja Milinkovic (FK Vojvodina, loan), Patrice Evra (Juventus, initial £1.2m), Bebé (Benfica, £2.4m), Nani (Sporting Lisbon, loan), Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace, loan), Jack Barmby (Leicester, free), Shinji Kagawa (Borussia Dortmund, undisclosed), Javier Hernández (Real Madrid, loan), Danny Welbeck (Arsenal, undisclosed), Tom Lawrence (Leicester, undisclosed). |
afrodoc2: This RVP i am seeing is looking like a man on his last legs, i hope i am wrong but it just appears like he is aging before our eyes.his knees are dodgy - he's playing through the pain barrier. if he's fully-fit, he's better than rooney everyday of the week. rooney has no issues at all & yet he's shyte. he had a full preseason, he came back from the world cup early & still he's not firing like he should. van gaal needs to address the rooney problem - he's the reason i feel a bit scared about selling welbeck & loaning chicharito. we lack genuine pace upfront now to call from the bench and do some damage for us. |
chrisley024: Fact: Robben is equivalent to VP + Rooneyrobben isn't equal to VP when everyone is fit. not in robben's lifetime has he possessed the technical quality of VP. VP is a born predator. he will score 10 times before robben will score 3. |
afrodoc2: Barcamy thoughts as well - the barca combo is super-deadly, with the right balance. SailorXY: everyone in the primeunited over real madrid? ![]() |
without bias, who has the best attacking trio in europe when everyone is fit? •aguero + dzeko + jovetic •rooney + falcao + van persie •giroud + welbeck + sanchez •robben + ribery + lewandowski •ronaldo + bale + rodriguez •suarez + messi + neymar •costa + hazard + oscar •sturridge + balotelli + sterling •ibrahimovic + cavani + lavezzi SailorXY: if selections are on merit, Rooney & Mata will be dropped. if Wilson proves most potent in front of goal, hw should get in the team! I know Rooney is captain & all that, but its just a spade-spade thing. everyone should fight for/retention of his place, & whoever can't stand the competition can fvck off. This is Manchester UnitedLvG: "Rooney is my captain, he will always be on the pitch." |
SailorXY: - - - - - - - David de Gea - - - - - - -where's the fat boy? you mean you would leave the fat boy out of the team? ![]() |
another weird thread from zboyd! she just can't stop with her ridiculous hubby/wifey threads. if women can't use their common sense & apply the intelligence they have garnered throughout their formal education then they deserve to be brainwashed & manipulated. |
MrTA: Few thoughts. Hope Daley Blind can excel for us in midfield like he did for Ajax.daley blind will shine for us. the midfield of herrera, blind, fellaini, anderson, fletcher, carrick & cleverley should be good enough to win us games. we have 35 league games left in the PL & at most 5-6 FA cup games. our schedule is very very light this season. Sad to see Danny go to Arsenal. I liked Danny and was really hoping he'd stay. I do understand why he's left and i think Arsenal is a good place for him to go to but definitely sad to see him leave the club.it was a senseless transfer in my opinion. why sell to arsenal? why not sell him to sunderland or villa? arsenal are our direct rivals & welbeck would have a blinder for them. his style suits the gooners! Finally, bloody 'ell we've signed Falcao. I'm glad its a loan which is a pretty low risk deal even if it'll cost about £20m. If it doesnt work out he leaves next summer if it does we have a top class player for £50m. Just have to be sure the knee is fine.it's the best business this summer in the entire europe. we got a world class striker less than what we paid for bebê. if he doesn't work out, we would have lost nothing & he's already selling shirts as we speak. if he works out, we get into top 4, make his move permanent & destroy pitiful teams like chelsea, arsenal, city & liverpool. fingers crossed, strootman & one other defender would join in january. Definitely good to see the club go all out an spend the money rather than allow the glazers to continue eating up the club's money.you nailed it! i would rather waste money on players than watch the glazer dynasty buy another expensive property in america. if we don't spend the money on players, they would spend it in america. I think the signings have put pressure on LvG that he has to challenge for the title this season. A top 4 finish is simply not enough.if we can keep our forwards fit & firing, we have one of the scariest attack in europe. Shame about the internatIonal break but also good for us so we can get players fit and ready.the break couldn't have come at a better time. i checked injury room this morning & we are topping the chart with 10 players. city, chelsea, liverpool added together didn't even reach that number. heard they have ripped up the training pitch at Aon complex for a new pitch. the pitch is contributing to the injuries. 2 weeks should bring about half of the injured players back & then we can rumble. |
Bimfo: Ohfalcao was diego costa's father when they were both at athletico madrid in 12/13. falcao scored 28 league goals in 34 apps costa scored 10 league goals in 31 apps. there's a difference between quality & quantity. chelsea should get ready for another falcao brütal assräpe in october. |
Bimfo: Lol..we don't have to..... even after missing out of elite europe, world class players would rather play for us than chelsea. https://i.imgur.com/nM7lMTB.jpg |
Bimfo: With less than 2 Hours, Arsenal has signed Welbeck..we should now put you & other chelsea fans of yours on a suicide watch. falcao - deal signed, sealed & delivered. |
Belovedd: Falcao has failed his medicalsyou should banned for such an unguarded statement. if falcao failed, it would have been announced by now. the deal has gone through! we don't have to announce it straight away cos he would take photoshoots, interviews for MUTV and other bullshyte to put on the twitter page & the website. the paperwork is what must get to the FA by the deadline. all the other bits can be completed at any time before or after the deadline. christ, you people should calm down. we don't have to announce it tonight. |
