MRbrownJAY: as the elected representative of the "old folks" (me myself i am 65, i lied on my profile!), let me say that you seem to be very defensive on this matter. what is it with you and "old folks"? is that because you are now heartbroken that your chances of finding the prince that you were hoping to find on the shores of NL are even more limited?

let me send one of our local grandpas to you so he can help you "relax"!!!!

MRbrownJAY: i think the reason you think this way is because you are probably here looking for love/romance or what not......even an 80yr old man could be on NL, if he gave the proper advice to people here. is that not what most come to NL for, the right advices?
someone should direct her to NAF - where nigerian youths share sex stories and pörnsites!

kandiikane: Lool, mtcheww. There is a big flaw in your calculation.

If my mum is age mates with idowu and freecocoa, how can I be 34? cheesy
that is because you probably don't know you are a mum yet! you wey dey collect child benefits for the past 3 years dey claim to be teenager on nairaland?

kandiikane: Stop chatting shyt mehn! Someone who is 15 would add a few years to their age but once they hit 18-19-20 there is no way they will want to add their ages up.

Abeg, go read the manual on women again.
your own case is different - you are a 34 year-old woman claiming to be 19! you grew up watching neil armstrong moonwalk!

MRbrownJAY: slow down?! why, if i may ask? bro i have got better than Christ on my side, i have got children that gives me unconditional love...... which smiles can never let me down. i've got something REAL that always answers me, i could do wrong, i could forget, i could be late, i could be absent, i could be the clumsiest father on earth and they would still give me love (children AND baby mamas included)....... and nobody can take THAT away from me, because thats the ONLY life i WANT/KNOW, why the hell would I want to change that?
go ahead with your bad self!

chucky234: Nah I don't think my Sholly is old,she might be battling with inferiority complex and low self esteem but I can vouch she is young and fiddle as eagle.
Sholly needs some love not hating
i could be wrong but i am rarely wrong.
tell a young girl she's young and watch her come out fighting! some of them even add 5-6 years to their ages to feel among. young women especially want to be 25-30 - they cannot wait to have the freedom of an adult woman.

she's probably closer to 30 than 20......thus the inferiority complex and the low self esteem!! you would also find out she spends 45% of her income on cosmetics. those age-defying moisturisers are heavily taxed in nigeria these days if you are buying the original!
Nairaland General › Re: Meet Your Favourite Nairalander by coogar: 4:49pm On Oct 30, 2012
chucky234: Maybe she is surrounded by old people,or what do you think.
i think she's old herself n pretending to be very young! from my experience, young people can't wait to be old and old people sometimes want to be young....if there's any young person fronting about her young age, it's because she's very old!

she reminds me of esther in "the orphan" movie!

MRbrownJAY: bro, ashewo is a hard word, lets say i am "very friendly around women"
man if i didnt like condoms, then i would be the father of a thousand kids! with the lifestyle i live, 6 kids is a very safe number, that should tell you that i protect myself VERY MUCH.....but sometimes i find gems, and the rest is history.
you need to slow down, bro.....i was once like you but thankfully, i have got Christ on my side now and old things have withered away. take a cue - take a cue - take a cue! grin

BlueDiva: We would need stats to back the claims that Torres has the least chances provided for him.
It will be interesting to see the stats for RVP, Ba, Rooney, Tevez etc so we can compare.

Ivanovic already has 3 goals.
A serious striker shouldn't sit on his ass waiting for freebies.
he does.... same as last season!

torres - 18 shots, 9 apps
v.persie - 26 shots, 9 apps
demba ba - 36 shots, 9 apps
carlos tevez - 29 shots, 9 apps

demba ba has twice as many shots as torres and yet we compare the two strikers.... ba has 7 league goals in 36 shots, nando has 4 league goals in 18 shots taken --- abeg, who has been more clinical?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by coogar:
BlueDiva: Well, thanks for responding.

Now, we know how many chances Torres has squandered.
We know how many times he has lost the ball when passed to all in the name of trying to dribble.
the conversion rate of most strikers is less than 25% - it means they miss 75% of the chances laid on the plate for them. the problem with chelsea is they don't create enough chances for their centre-forward to reach the threshold of scoring regularly. van persie needs 4 chances to score 1.......torres would also need 4 to score 1. if chelsea creates 2-3 chances for him in 90 mins, how is he expected to score?

You can't blame the lads for trying to take the fate of the game in their own hands.
You don't think Torres also has to hustle for his own balls?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by coogar: 1:46pm On Oct 30, 2012
BlueDiva: Please coogar, how do we get the best from Torres?
Once and for all, tell us! We already have talented and creative players behind him.

Lecture us on the best formation and tactics to employ.
Let us all settle this Torres issue once and for all. If you make sense i would see reason and stop criticizing him.
this is the most brilliant comment the anti-torres camp have ever asked.....

torres has been provided with talented technicians behind him. the 4-2-3-1 also suits chelsea as well and everything seems to look good on paper but - the trio behind torres are too self-seeking! they should be more selfless.....every damn move should be geared towards torres.......i also want a faster tempo in the attacking third....slow zombie passing allows your opponents to organise their defence and keep the shape!

that is all, madam bluediva!

4llerbuntu: I Like how you are always revisionist about facts when it comes to torres.
he's a world class striker playing for a rubbish team!

its curious that you cite van persie and service, but you failed to note that van persie has 1000% better football sense, has better movement, can actually hit a ball on goal competently.
van persie's football sense is not better than torres' they are in the same echelon of elite strikers in europe! the difference is the selfless players who understand football is a team sport and the selfish players in chelsea who all seek personal glory to make the team.

when have we ever seen torres make out the kind of space and movement van persie did against chelsea for both goals? would Valencia have passed the ball to VP if he had been 20 meters away outside the box or hiding behind Gary Cahill?
it was a fast break - to start with........chelsea don't play with wingers to even bring such scenarios to the table! they play through the middle which is very congested or wait for the full-backs(ivanovic or cole) to provide the width! by the time those overlap and pull out a cross, the box is already saturated with markers!

You also failed to note that van persie does not habitually lose the ball, can pass exponentially better, does not look like he takes akamu for breakfast daily.
van persie loses the ball as much as torres - i proved this earlier - scan the previous pages of this very thread and you would see where I busted ibime's myth that torres is too weak to hold the ball.

It beggars belief how you can compare van Persie who has spent 3/4 of his career injured and is still 10X better than torres.
the difference is van persie has played for 2 clubs with the best managerial stability in the league and torres keeps finding himself in clubs with the highest turnover of players/managers.

incase you dont understand what you keep trumpeting, u are telling us a striker playing in front of arguably the best attacking midfield trio in football at this point is starved of service? grin cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
best attacking midfield trio? you mean OHM is better than nani - rooney - valencia? i doubt it! lets even agree they are the bestest attacking trio ever, if they are self-seeking, they wouldn't do any world of good for torres. it's one thing to be skilful individually, it's another thing to play for the team.

which quality ball do you want again? if at all you are correct, the first rule to receiving is that you in position to actually do so.
torres positioning has never been in doubt - when he gets there, the passes don't find him enough! it's either mata or hazard seeking personal glory by shooting like a trigger-happy naija policeman!

LIKE I HAVE TOLD YOU COUNTLESS TIMES, CITE EXAMPLES OF INCIDENTS WHERE TORRES WAS OPEN AND AVAILABLE FOR A PASS AND HE WAS NOT GIVEN. OR U ALSO EXPECT THE PASSER TO PASS THEN RUN FORWARD TO PUSH THE DEFENDERS AWAY?
lalaboi would lecture you about a dozen instances where torres was frozen out by self-seeking teammates!
