sleekdot: Earlier in this thread someone asked you that do men just wake up and start beating their spouse and you replied YES that some men just do that. Which I dont believe 100%you have to agree some of the so called nigerian adults are infinitely obtuse with their reasoning! only men can be violent - women can never be violent and even when they do - its the hormones! ![]() |
davidylan: Sigh. I answered the question as early as page 30. Sometimes you shld read before making hasty conclusions.i didn't catch that.... Again i dont understand the correlation between your harping about violent women and this thread in general. Where did the women here tell you they were pulling knives on their husbands? In the domestic abuse cases i have ever seen, none were down to a woman being violent. It seems to me that you are posting on an entirely different subject. Perhaps you would like to open a separate thread to address your issues.as if any nigerian woman would come online and claim they ever did such - i think you just post sometimes before you think it through! i cited a case of a woman yesterday who reported her abusive husband to chaircover - when chaircover and her crew got there, it was the woman who threw a cup of coffee on her husband but told a different version to chaircover.... this was why i was seeking for the 2 sides of the story - you have also joined the bandwagon of forming your opinion solely on what you have read by one side of the coin! if the story doesn't make sense to me - then it's probably because vital parts are missing and majority of the stories on this thread make no sense! this is why arguing on nairaland can be tedious at times - many of you lots post absent wisdom! |
sleekdot: Simple question you have been dodging since. In a situation where you are being threatened would you attempt to save your own life when a woman is the attacker or you default to the REAL men dont touch women under any conditionwill David answer such question? never!! watch him blame the victim - "where did he meet such woman"? i think people just love to post because they love the colour of their prints and the majority here are the stark contrasts of their real self in the real world the message is simple - women respect your men, men respect your women! if any woman then feels she has the sole right to physically abuse a man because a man should be a real man then she must be ready to face the consequences! |
sleekdot: You mean its inconceivable for a woman to be violent to attack her MIL or to attack her husband. No wonder some posters earlier have alluded to it that some people dont want to hear the truth. Coogar mentioned earlier a show called "Snapped" which shows women that killed their spouses. So if you are in a situation to save your life by using your physical strenght to disarm a woman or your wife You would act the REAL MAN and walk out. Excellent.don't mention "snapped" - it was acted! the stories are not true - they just paid people to act and make it look real! you can now see how deluded some people are - bunch of hypocritical fuckwits! i cannot be violent - my brain tells me to act normal - and these are the same people you see cursing other drivers in road rage! i can't stand hypocrites sha - han han! |
davidylan: What law? You would be facing first degree murder for this in the US regardless of if you found her in bed with 20 men.its not the same in the UK....if my actions are "immediate" - may their gentle souls rest in peace or worst case scenario, voluntary manslaughter! slimyem: Isn't this the same poster that said he would never believe the most gentle of men can turn into beasts overnight while he was trying to discredit some of the stories of this thread??apply common sense, aunty! i said that the most gentle of men cannot turn to beasts overnight without any reason....the cases we have been hearing here is that a man woke up and started beating his wife without reasons - how is that possible? why are you then likening it to a man that is provoked by the actions of a woman? did you miss your supplements of vitamins this morning? |
cotton101: sleekot - those examples are a bit extremesleekdot, what did i tell you? ![]() davidylan: Of course i do have perspective. A man with no capacity to tame his temper in the face of extreme provocation should leave another man's daughter alone until he has matured.hahahahaha - so easy for you to say.... but we all know this is a very difficult situation - even the law understands this extreme cases of a man walking into his bedroom only to find his wife and another man under the sheets - abeg men and women should show mutual respect to one another! this delusion that a woman can do as she pleases and a man must be a "REAL MAN" and withstand such rubbish is misleading! Ihedinobi: You're free to explain it as you wish but I'll tell you straight out that it is insanity to physically attack anyone, to say nothing of someone you've sworn your life to, for any reason. I don't care what thresholds exist. Fact is you cannot blame your actions/reactions on provocation. Being human means that you have brains and can process possible responses to a given stimulus to choose the best.i can stand your ignorance - it's your hypocrisy that i cannot! you are telling me humans have brains and can process responses to stimuli? so what makes you think the human brain of the people who snap are the same as yours? what makes you think the message they get from the brain is not to commit violence? the biggest mistake you can ever make is to assume everyone is wired like you are - you would be sorry...... |
sleekdot: Ihedinobi and Davidunfortunately, those situations don't count here.....it's extreme, it can never happen, women don't do fisticuffs, women can't act like thugs and all manner of excuses would soon be flying out......... |
davidylan: Adding the word "but" there just ruined your entire sentence. There is no justification for abuse period. No ifs or buts.people(men and women) can be animals without self control - anger can turn the most gentle of men into physical beasts....to deny these things is delusion! you mean you have never seen these angelic women turn to beasts when they catch their husband's mistress? davidylan, abeg get some perspective! |
Ihedinobi: @davidylan, word! What we've been trying so hard to show is that nobody can rightly blame their reactions on provocation. You can't say that you beat the dazzling daylights out of the woman you profess to love and cherish because she cheated on you. Is it not better to divorce her or separate from her for awhile if it's too difficult for you to live with?and that's where you keep getting it wrong.... you and i might/will not physically abuse a cheating partner but there are men out there who would.....why then would any woman do something that could make her prone to physical abuse? so because jungle justice is wrong means i should go to the market and steal N20? people have different thresholds when it comes to anger - so women should be told not to provoke and risk being physically abused! the hypocrisy here becomes clearer when these women pounce on their husband's mistress - that's when you would understand raw anger! |
davidylan: Now we're going to the extreme. This is not the case with most women to be honest and even if this were the case, shouldnt the man simply put her away rather than beating her up?yes, people like you and i would kick such a woman to the curb but there are men out there who would use their fists on a cheating partner. it's sad but it's true. physical abuse is not justifiable but at the same time a woman should not provoke a man to such dizzying heights of control loss! Nah, you truly need to come across some men to realize that sometimes an offence as simple as breaking a cup will elicit a severe beating.such men should be locked up with the keys thrown into the pacific! i hate violent people(men, women, child, animals)! i cannot stand people who use their limbs faster than their brains! True. But the one thing i learnt is that a woman will be submissive to you if she respects you, can depend on you being the leader in the relationship, trusts you enough to know that you will not use her weaknesses as a tool to manipulate her with. Its very simple... sometimes you do need to lead a woman by example rather than with your fists.absolutely....i agree with you here! however, many of these women cannot even trust their own shadows, let alone trust you enough to lead them! this issue is sensitive and very deep! women should be encouraged to speak out and be more factual about what went down - i have read about enough marital abuse cases to know one must endeavour to hear the 2 sides of the story before passing judgements! remember the nigerian ambassador that was accused of beating his wife? |
SailorXY: fair play to him, but Rooney was visibly doing the defensive job last sunday & he is suppose to play as an AM, carelessly gave away the needless freekick that lead to Mata's goal{he did what he could, he is a striker for fvck's sake}! Laidback approach & hoping to intercept a loose pass was United's undoing after going two goals up. I mean, our DM should presssss, harasssss, tackle, be in the thick of the action when the team is under immense pressure like @ Stamford Bridge! Crisp passing teams {memories of Barca} wont make much mistakes in possession. If Carrick is not up for the movement, a mobile DM should be brought in to either play along side him or replace him outrightly. That's my takerooney is a tool! hazard was running into a cul-de-sac....there was a sea of players on the edge of the box and rooney didn't need to make that tackle at all - it was a rush of blood! his brainless effort cost us a yellow and a goal! this is where carrick earns his stripes! the pressing thingy is a general team ethics....watch barcelona when they play, they hunt in packs....our strikers are lazy, the wingers are lazy - we don't start pressing until opponents get into our half! one player cannot press the opponents - it's a collective effort - you don't see busquets snapping at heels like a twit...he relies on his positioning and interceptions - that's modern football! |
Ihedinobi: I think we both know that there was no need to point any such thing out, if indeed that was what you were doing. There was never any argument against the fact that other forms of abuse besides the physical exist or the fact that men could be victims too.if you knew that, why then did you come up with the men are physically stronger than women and men are more likely to abuse.....don't you think that kind of stuff is misleading? do i need to be physically stronger than you to verbally abuse you? to emotionally abuse you? to financially abuse you? can you not see your oversight here or you want me to type in greek? |
davidylan: Appalling. Are you kidding me?if she cheats on him for instance...... davidylan: Wrong again bro.i refuse to believe this......you probably get moved with the tears of a woman when she tells you porkies - i don't! being submissive does not guarantee she won't get abused. a woman who is submissive and then cheats on her husband is not risking spousal abuse or what are you saying? how many of these women would then open up to you about what they did? it's when you subject them to lie detector tests that you see why some women get battered - i don't justify any form of abuse - God forbid it but if a woman is not 100% truthful about what went down then she would never be helped! I once dated a girl who came out of a long and abusive relationship. I didnt realize how bad she had it until i noticed that each time i lifted my hands close to her or raised my voice a notch she would flinch and run. It took over a year of gentle help to get her back to almost normal and help her realize not every man is a beast. This girl was GOOD with a capital G. Very submissive, would do anything for me and very very loyal. Yes she had her issues but who doesnt?why don't you push the envelope and find out what went down from her ex? that she was submissive to you does not mean she was like that in her previous relationship! abeg, get some perspective! there's always 2 sides to a story - more often than not we tend to see one side and form our opinion on it and i am telling you it's wrong! |
davidylan: Fa fa fa foul! Bro... there is nothing a woman does to you to justify physical and emotional abuse. It is this kind of thinking that has empowered the nigerian man to do and undo. Ok so she made a mistake... and the way to correct it is to refuse to speak to her for days, beat her and refuse to eat her food? What solution did that bring and how has that strengthened the marriage? I like to live with one simple motto - if your woman has to walk on eggshells around you then there is a serious problem.don't get your wires crossed.... where in my missive did i say any abuse can be justified? the point in my post is there's no action without a reaction.....when women are relating their stories - it's imperative to state their own faults as well. you can only find the solution when the case is factual not when it is one-sided! a woman who keeps hiding her own share of irresponsibility is not helping herself - she would only carryover her habit(which would have been corrected if she had mentioned it) into the next relationship and the vicious cycle is restored! Ihedinobi: I'm really sorry that you made this comment. When I saw your first post questioning coogar, I thought you were going to call him to order. He answered you with a quote of my post from which he'd made the incredible deduction that you questioned, and you say this?come on, mate! i only pointed out physical abuse isn't the only form of domestic abuse! a woman who uses her tongue to "dress down" her partner is abusing him too! your premise about physical size becomes an otiose remark if you consider other forms of abuse in a domestic setting! |
davidylan: Really interesting thread.sharrap dia! there was no warning signal - the husband just woke up one day and decided the beating must start to fulfil his marital duties. you hear some of these stories and you cannot but say wow! angels don't just become demons overnight - there's a process! if i have to check my girl's emails/texts/imessages to be sure she's not cheating then she's not worth it! however, women see these obsessive/possessive behaviour and still forge ahead. i have been accused before by one yeye chic that it's because i don't care for her that i am nonchalant about the messages on her phone.... |
chic2pimp:tpia is in labour........not in the mood for that, i'm afraid..... |
dayokanu: Suarez, Tevez get these chances and shoot.how many times has tevez poked shots from outside the box? so you mean it's because torres does not shoot from all angles is the reason there's a massive difference between shots taken? dayo - go back to your elementary school and learn quantitative analysis...... |
Never a dull moment on nland.
i am warming up..... warrior01: No! It's better we start with the remote and immediate causes of the abuse. You don't tell me the 'angel' you got married to just suddenly turned to a beast without no just cause. One way or the other the 'abused' equally contributed to the failure of the marriage unless we all choose not to tell ourselves the basic truth.thank you, bro! that was exactly what i expected but trust the typical nigerian with their blame culture - it's always everyone else's fault but them. how about speaking the truth for once! "my husband is a bully but i am not blameless as well - i once made so and so mistakes but he overreacted and he physically abused me!" people would relate with such - the cause and effect would be analysed and the mistakes made would be corrected! but trust the women here to twist the story - they did nothing at all - the man just got bewitched by demons - woke up one sunny afternoon and the beating started - and they expect intellectuals to take them serious.....they expect to seek solution from their dodgy stories - some women have so much to learn! |
dayokanu: Mata and Hazard passes have produced 10 goals so far and Torres isnt benefitinghow many of those passes went to torres? if torres has only 18 shots in 9 league games then you have to admit something is not right. think about it - suarez, tevez, etc have far more.... |
SailorXY: I'll like to see this line up tomorrowinterception is the mother of tackles - this is where i rate carrick's intelligence far and above majority of his peers in this league! the pass to van persie for the 3rd goal was the vintage carrick! |
chic2pimp: A sad and sorry state of affairs I tell ya.na people like you i pity.... i am forever tied with tpia - and what a lovely relationship we have. she's like the traditional nigerian wife....no blender, no coffee maker, no washing machine....everything is done manually! you got to envy me - don't cha wish your girlfriend was just like mine? ![]() |
ileobatojo: What a classy post. Nothing but pure class I tell ya.i love you too! |
chic2pimp: I am surprised that post hasn't got more than 5 likes. Sillier posts than that have gotten more Likes" so nothing surprises me anymore.and this is why today's marriages are shyte! men with no cojones, men who cannot stand as men, men who get remote-controlled by family members or friends - how would such men take hold of their families! i am afraid, it's not going to get any better......... @ busy_body, i need to get my Halloween costumes - word on the street says you own all the shops @ finsbury park(where wedding dresses can be acquired at £30)! bikonu - help a brother..... |
Lmao. Trust me, you are not good enough to shine my shoes or even earn what my gate man earns. You are psychologically out of wack and need obvious mental help. Maggot? Rotflmao. See this mosquito. Asinwin, oloshi radarada. Eni to won ti sa si. Ti won ti ba aiye e je. Abeg go punch a wall or hang yourslef. You are almost there anyway. Lmao. What a twerp. Little kid like you. Wretched infant.
tut tut tut - epitome of a firewood background #sigh# gateman? let me laugh in marital abuse!!! you have such a glorious life and yet your husband turned you into a punching bag? get out of here with your tales by moonlight! My apologies to the wonderful ladies on this thread. Sometimes you have to come down to the level of an abuser to show them that level get level. Let's move on and leave the mentally challenged infant to keep throwing tantrums. Someone that insults a person over a sick relative is below my shoes. Only good enough to be stepped on. Lmao.you have clearly shown the reason why your husband abused you - i am sorry for your future.....i would be embarrassed to have you as a wife too - hell, your kids would be embarrassed to have you as a mother! you're crass - there's no sign you have ever been married - no decorum, no class, no honour, no aura - you are just a specimen that was belched out of the cünt of an animal! |
Honestly one can only pity the dude. A very sad case of a man that insults like a market woman. I bet when he is peeved with his wife, he won't hesitate to call her a "miserable sack of shyte". Rotfl. Looks like the men being described on this thread have come to life.hahaaha. One sees why he is do defensive. No need even conversing with it. Must be a sad and lonely person.
sad and lonely? you wish! i have nothing but prayers for you - you need to go and lie down - no amount of your pitiful tales would change your outlook if you don't search inwards......the kind of life i live - you would need 400 days of white fasting on mount horeb to cop such...:you miserable maggot! |
Ok, good for you Mr. Perfect who cannot control his emotions or his tongue. No matter how much you try to fight it, we hope you learnt something and will make you a more reasonable perosn than you have displayed on this thread.
it's not my fault i have got a zero tolerance for zombies, lazy-thinkers and hypocrites. my signature has a warning sign attached to it! i am unlike many of the people who come here to post and just "go with the flow".....sorry to disappoint you! Clearly you missed the title of the thread which is open to anyone that has been abused. You think you can enter any thread and start insulting people telling their stories. A rational person will either contribute or tell their story not try to insult or derail the thread. The truth is nothing you have written can erase or take away from the thread. And it is totally childish and unnecessary of you to insult someone who lost a family to an illness like cancer. That just shows who you are. Quite sad. Smh. If you are looking for balance, stand on a scale.who lost a family to cancer? roflmao - are you dyslexic? i did not miss the title of the thread - i did not attack the title of the thread, i attacked the trend the comments were veering to. the op of the thread probably expected something different but the daughters of eve as usual hijacked the thread and turned it into men are evil with their crocodile tears and reh reh reh...... Abusive stories never have balance. Abuse is abuse, and whether you like it or not these are true stories. No one on this thread ever said abuse was limited to only men. Since you can control yourself or your emotions this is my final response to you. I can see you only communicate by insults. You only affect yourslef not the strangers you are popping veins over.abusive stories never have balance? you need to seek professional help - get a shrink to explain what "domestic abuse" is all about! majority of you think it's until the man raises his arm to slap that he's abused - forgetting the fact that you started the abuse by tongue-lashing your partner.......every action produces a reaction - sad but that's the truth! clean up your habits - read! i cannot emphasise this enough! read and read and read and then this marriage thingy would not be too ambiguous for you to deal with! Did you miss the place where the people that experienced abuse in relationships were adults? You are in very serious denial. Give this advise to your daughters. Maybe you are a woman sef and this has worked for you. Who knows. Wet behind the ears? What a mess. Were your mothers not married at 16? Mtscheew.yet another brainfart.......it seems we are never going to get along! that you are 35 does not necessarily mean you are intelligent - the people who got abused as adults should search themselves first and take their partners for professional help! don't you worry about my daughters - all i know is none of them is going to grow up to be like you! remove the speck in your eyes first..... mothers married @ 16? i bet they were smarter @ 16 than many of y'all in your 30s. look at most of them - they are all settled in their husband's houses, raised kids who have become lawyers, doctors and engineers and yet today's women who are supposed to be doing better are hopping from one matrimonial bed to another - it's a shame!!! |
Isn't it obvious why you are so defensive Mr.? Maybe you can relate to this thread and you have behaved like some girls in this thread may have described their abusers? Do you have beef with this person? Na wa o. E rora she aye. Aye o le toyen. Why are you poping veins like this. . You are suspiciously over interested in the thread. Do you have an experience? Tell us, we are listening.
i get particularly peeved with people suffering from shallow mentality like yourself. that i am arguing for/against any motion does not place me in that scenario. only mgbeke half-baked graduates reason in such pitiful manner.all i was asking for was a balance but i have been categorically told the thread was designed to applaud the divorcees, ex divorcees, single mothers, etc and to celebrate their survival of their broken relationships..... having read some of the comments of some of you here, it's not particularly surprising the relationships didn't work out - majority of you were wet behind the ears and had no business having intimate relationships in the first place. |
chic2pimp: Did She actually say this?.....Oh dearie meyes, he did..... Ihedinobi: Quit being a hater. Men are physically stronger than women, weight for weight. If anyone exerts physical strength to overpower and bully the other to the point of threatening their lives, it's more likely to be the man than the woman. Considering that fact, why the hell is it an issue that such threads as this should be more populated by women's stories than men's? You don't need to be taught elementary biology and social studies, do you?and guess what? the plonker got hi-fives and 9 "likes" from the rëtards of his ilk...........do you still think the iq of the average nigerian is not less than 33? you know some men just love to cop their erëctions and maybe orgäsms from the e-pats and e-kisses they get from virtual women so they would say anything to back them! it was only later i realised the pillock was a victim of séxual abuse..he probably lost his virginity to his uncle...what a tyke! |
Pitykitten: Where's that insensitive 'Coogar' person?you are a tool, you miserable sack of shyte with the brain capacity of a slug! don't let it be for the sake of the people who started the thread - that's a cop-out! a ploy pitiful cowards like yourself deploy to mask their weak mentality! |
dayokanu: Mata 5 assist, Hazard 5 assistyou are too educated to be thinking this way! mata/hazard passes in the final third have only produced 18 shots for torres in 9 games -are you so rëtarded not to see that is far too low for a centre forward to feed on? |
dayokanu: Too self seeking? Wasnt that the same thing you all blamed Lampard for, Blamed Sturridge for Blamed Malouda for?its a system problem - fergie would never allow it in man utd. remember when we couldn't separate between welbeck and sturridge as per who's more talented? welbeck was trained to be a team player, sturridge was drilled to play for himself - sturridge got dropped for the euros and he is still struggling to find his way to the english national team while welbeck is scoring for fun for his country. i don't know if it's the lack of discipline in the training methods or the players don't respect the instructions of their manager! Now its Hazard, mata Oscar. Hazard has 5 assists, Mata has 5 assists you have the top 2 assist leaders in the team yet we accuse them of being self seekingthey are definitely not assisting torres - cos then, torres would have more goals or more shots on target. your argument would have been correct if torres had taken 36 shots on goal and scoring just 4 league goals......but he has only 18 shots in 9 league games....if you are not daft, then you would know torres does not get the required service like his counterparts in the other teams! this is logic...... Fast tempo? Its ridiculous if anyone thinks the Oscar-Hazard-Mata combo is not fast enough. What else do you want Usain Bolt-Tyson Gay-Yohann Blake midfield?the players are fast individually but as a unit, they don't scratch the surface! think critically, like a man who has been to a college. why would torres cop just 18 shots in 9 league games? suarez who has played as many minutes as torres has 55 shots in comparison! you cannot be this idiotic not to know that the unit behind torres is @ fault! mufasa: The ongoing Mark Clatterburg "improper language" allegations and counter allegation is getting uglier.mata has already denied hearing the referee use an abusive language towards him! so mikel is the scapegoat! if the allegation is found to be false, mikel gets fined and maybe banned for some few matches! i knew from the onset chelsea were lying - it's not their first time of trying to force a referee into retirement! |
moderator, please clean this thread abeg....once again, it's the time of the month for the majority of the ladies here. their edginess is as a result of their raging hormones! a 5-day ban for each of them would be much appreciated. by the time they finish serving their punishment, their raging hormones would have died down! fecking hell, i have never read so much rubbish crammed together in 10 pages on NL... |
