debosky: Dunno what 4uller and co are on about. The manner of departure will always determine booing or otherwise. RVP's departure was insulting to Arsenal FC and was patronising. I fully endorse booing to the max in this case. No one boos Kolo or Clichy and it's because they departed respectfully.
boo van persie at your own risk.....
he would reply by scoring goals against your defence......

there shouldn't be any hassles here - my child can have the right böob and i will feed on the left one. a man cannot use such lame excuses to engage infidelity - that's too farfetched! i mean, what's the connection here?

how's this a fabricated story? he had already dropped his friend, drove for 10 mins or more before he met the robbers......how could these robbers have robbed the friend that was about 10km away? you call yourself usamarshal and yet you are reasoning like a goat marshal - take yourself out of here if you don't have any meaningful thing to contribute.......

Gbawe: Have you ever taken time to look at Governor Ajimobi's professional history? Can some of you , before you talk, ever make allowance for how there are very talented folks out there who are wealthy because of their ability? This simplistic take on life won't get many of you anywhere. Go and look at the man's Professional record to see he could always afford to educate his children in the UK and stop this nauseatingly unfair character assassination and witch hunt.

It is the sort of frustrated 'bad belle' mentality that got those poor boys lynched in ALUU by savages !!! If you cannot afford to educate your children privately in the UK, does that mean everyone doing so has achieved it with Nigeria's money? What kind of nonsensical reasoning is that? One thing I am sure about in life is that success never heads towards the hateful and spiteful who always assume the worst of others because of their material wealth.
it seems you don't know nigerians - the poverty in the land is beginning to eat up their intelligence quotients. the moment you take up a political office, every penny you spend thereafter must have been stolen! see some of them thinking london met police were bribed to change their story - can you imagine the ignorance? why would london met admit what never happened?

USAMarshal: Guys this is a fabricated story. You folks didn't ask what happened to his friend he went to drop off. Was she shot? Did she enter her house safely?
your brain needs an upgrade!
he dropped the friend 10 mins drive from the gate of the estate, when he returned back to the gate, the robbers stopped him and the robbing spree started! common sense dictates the friend was not robbed.....

the owner is in nigeria - that's the difference! the sad thing about security operatives in nigeria is they just need a scapegoat - not really interested in catching the main culprit! in this case, they won't bother looking for shymmex but seun and jarus would be locked up in kirikiri prison!

ABAboi: This is terrible, firstly I am glad you survived this ordeal. It baffles me that Nigerians still depend on the police and their manned security personnel to provide security. How can you spend millions building/renting a home and cannot spend 600,000k fortifying it with independent security solution like FogSecure(http://fogsecure.com.ng). Designed and built as a result of our failed security response system.

For over 2years in development, FogSecure was developed to independently and reliably protect you from this armed robbers when your first-line of defence has been breached. Visit http://www.fogsecure.com.ng/nigerian-homes.php for info on their home security and http://www.fogsecure.com.ng/accessories for some reliable security accessories.
fogsecure won't stop lagos armed robbers - matter of fact, it's like inviting trouble as they would panic and shoot sporadically when they are absent sight!

shymexx: Nigeria has a murder rate of over 10,000 per year - yet you guys don't want to die...
You're more or less a walking dead corpse if you live in Nigeria, why are you guys scared, anyway??
lagos alone would be 10,000 per year - are you shitting me? that country is a jungle - people get killed everytime....the roads are not safe - the homes are not safe - the offices are sometimes unsafe as well! it's getting to that point where people would have to stand up and take matters into their own hands.....

they are normally out of sight in december as most of them would be in their villages spending their loot - the months leading to december are usually the worst!

pappilo: This story is false. A major operation like this would have made the tabloids at least and savvy lekki dwellers would have reported it on social media. I hope dDeep sight and Sept12 are the same people otherwise I am cancelling my trip to Naija this December!
the murder rate in nigeria is the worst on the planet if the media coverage is half as efficient as the developed countries! there are loads of unreported violent crime in that country to even encourage you to visit! at this rate, i don't think nigeria can be anything worse than the hell-fire we are all avoiding......
Crime › Re: My Armed Robbery Experience And Thoughts On The Nigerian Situation by coogar: 2:59pm On Nov 01, 2012
montelik: I understand your point, but it is not a valid reason. I don't blame any police man who is reluctant to put his life on the line. even the most well trained and equiped officers (bullet proof vest, tactical rifles e.t.c) would sweat blood dealing with 10+ plus armed assailants. but the problem, particularly for a state like Lagos, is the fact robbers can move in massive numbers and operate for long stretches at a time. yet once they are finished, it ends there. the police have zero interest in even doing the most basic of investigations. we live in a society where robbers operate without masks openly, and often leaving mountain of evidence behind, but the police won't even do just basic follow up investigations. it is not until police have huge pensions, bullet-proof cars & vests, apcs, tactical weaponry that they can do their job. just by ensuring that they can pursue and bring perpertrators to book will reduce crime significantly. the threat of being caught even after get away is a powerful deterent.
once upon a time, there was operation sweep unit in lagos and armed robbery was reduced to the barest minimum.......democracy decided to shelf that method of combatting violent crime - i think it's about time we let the military take over! we are not yet mature for democracy!

shymexx: But where are the jobs? There are millions of graduates in that country that can't even get a decent job - how do expect unskilled people to get jobs? The unemployment rate in Nigeria is about 50%(officially), the country is abyss!
where are the jobs? there are petty businesses everywhere - it's just that our people are lazy or they want the least of minimum effort to make megabucks! it's quite insensitive of you to support armed robbers - if your sister was räped in this kinda incident, you would be more sympathetic with the victims - lets apply common sense in whatever we say....

Poverty breeds evil and anger - that's the truth... And Nigeria is a country where people worship money and so people would do anything for it, it's just sad..
nigeria is not the only country having to cope with poverty - in the other countries i know, the anger is towards their government, in nigeria - the anger is towards the neighbour! what kind of idiotic mentality is that? robbers should go to abuja and attack senators and ministers - not the struggling populace!

I don't know, but it's going to be difficult to conquer it in a country like Nigeria, where there's no central database, ill-equipped and ill-trained police force, no CCTV cameras, and with poverty everywhere...
i think fashola should be doing much more about the security of lagos state! how can an incident last 4 hours with no armed policemen in sight? even after the incident, there's no forensic science to pull the crime scene apart and find clues........in 2012? in few days time, a silly nigerian would go to the travel section and say nigerians in diaspora are envious of the home-based nigerians! wowzer!!!!

Poverty breeds anger - these people have nothing to lose...

It just shows everything wrong with the system, to be honest...
except that the victims here are also struggling themselves. deep sight does not work for the government neither is he a politician - why attack him? i doubt anyone would raise an eyebrow if this spineless criminals have gone to the government house to rob - these bandits have no shame - they are robbing from the struggling masses when they should be robbing the dimeji bankoles or the ubas of this world!

shymexx: I can't blame the miscreants because at the end of the day, everyone is trying to survive - life is about the survival of fittest...
they should find jobs or make themselves useful instead of killing and räping women! if the motive is all about surviving, why räpe and kill after taking money from their victims? these men of the underworld are just evil - a lot of nigerians wouldn't mind letting these men take money or valuables - it's the killing and the sëxual assault of the women that get people peeved!

That's what you get when you have few elites and the majority living on $1 a day...
The armed robbers have nothing to lose...

claremont: Let's not blame the Nigerian police for anything, they are a part of a system that is broken. Tell me, what incentive is there for a Nigerian policeman to risk his life for anyone?!
excellent point.....
the system is crap - there's no real incentive for any policeman to risk his life and have a slugfest with some armed bandits. i doubt their monthly wages is up to N50k and most of them are family men. the police force should be completely revamped - they should start from the scratch with and employ strictly nigerian graduates - the wage structure should also be upgraded so that the cops won't be too vulnerable to commit crime!

Ibime: Double post. . .
ibime, footballers are smart @ what they do and this is the reason they earn obscene amount of dosh per week. had mikel chased after chicharito before anderson made the pass - then anderson would have had a clear run towards chelsea's goal and chicharito's run would have been a tactical decoy that dragged his markers to pave way for anderson!

i don't blame cahill or mikel for that goal - i blame sideshow bob for letting the situation develop into such scenario in the first place! if you are going to travel with the ball, be ready to foul the man with the ball if you happen to get dispossessed! david luiz was the culprit!

fergie used to be a good man manager but he's having his wires-crossed these days! the single most important question is - what did morrison want? he wanted first team football - and you cannot tell me he's not class above the others in the reserves! he's been as good as cleverley since 2010! fergie kept him with the little boys for far too long - there comes a time when a youngster want more than being kept on a leash. morrison didn't feel the need to train or turn up for sessions any longer - the drive and hunger was lost....even when he turned up, he still played better than his peers who trained all week! he wanted a new challenge, a bigger/tougher challenge - fergie was not interested in giving him that challenge and talks broke down between his agent and man utd!

montelik: we did not let Pogba go. the lad did to us what he had previously done to Le Havre. we tried to keep him, but he chose not sign and left on a free. we did not willingly let him go. Meanwhile Morrison is proving exactly why we gave up on him, with his troubles at West Ham and Birmingham. Talent regardless, that boy is not going amount to much unless he has personality/brain transplant.
we didn't let pogba go? all the empty promises fergie made that wasn't fulfilled? pogba wanted first team football as far back as 10/11 season - fergie kept playing giggs in his position and giving pogba 5 min cameo in small games......at a point, the lad got fed up then recalling scholes back from retirement meant pogba was never going to get into that senior team in a while! his agent found another club willing to give him the starting berth he craves - who would pass up such opportunity? morrison's case is also similar! what do you think would have happened to rooney @ 19 if he wasn't given a starting berth?

Ibime: Cahill who was 10 yards away from Chicarito in picture 2 is now on his back by picture 4.

Mikel who had ten yard head-start on Chicarito in picture 2 is now 5 yards behind him in picture 4.

In picture 2, Mikel is standing 5 yards from the arc of the eighteen yard box.

In picture 4, Mikel is still just approaching the arc of the eighteen yard box.

Chicarito has covered 15 yar
ds and Mikel just 5 from Picture 2 to Picture 4.

Replicate this kinda inertia by Mikel over the season and you will see why Chelsea have conceded 25 goals in the 15 games he has played this season. He is not only slow, he is too inert to turn his body around in developing situations.
so you mean lampard would have averted that if he was in mikel's shoes? come on - you are not catching chicharito.....the moment anderson got the ball, the only thing was if he could find chicharito with right pass - from then on, scoring is inevitable! look at the angle of the pass - it was not towards mikel, it was towards chicharito....applaud the pass, don't blame mikel!!

https://i.minus.com/i66TJXYnuRlaa.gif

ibime, watch from the goalie's view, can you see the space between mikel and chicharito when hernandez received the ball? how do you stop that? flying kick? the error of parallax dey worry you!
