Ibime: If una no want Nani, make una send am come Stamford Bridge.

Nani is the best winger in Epl, comparable only to Valencia.

And who said Nani is copying Ronaldo? All Portuguese wingers are modelled on Luis Figo, thats why they play that way.
don't mind the nani bashers.....they would rather have stewart downing(0 goals + 0 assists) in
37 league appearances. nani is one of the best players in united. his unpredictability is a
plus for our attacking football. how he gets compared to ronaldo makes me laugh. i am yet
to see any man city fan that has compared aguero to messi.....

fergie would be stupid to let nani go. if nani wants a bump in his wages, he
should have it. ashley young is on 120k per week, nani is on 90k per week. is young better than nani?
the replacement(james rodriguez, porto fc) the media are touting is a rookie and the columbian is not
better than nani.
So you feel Welbeck did that on purpose? grin Not to take away from his performances in this tourney(he's been one of the bright spark in England's dire team),but i make bold to say he was trying to control that ball and even felt he lost it.

Ashley Young and Milner though,i wonder why Woy persist with them. Can't wait for England to meet Spain,i want this whole noise about their "effectiveness" rubbished quickly.
he's scored goals like that plenty of times for united reserves.
it was done on purpose...look at his eyes and how his gaze
followed the ball. if he lost control, he would be looking
the wrong way, looking for where the ball went...

that was a deft application...if it was dennis bergkamp that did it,
we would say it's ingenuity, but because a no-mark manchester born
negro did it, it has to be a fluke......
welbeck has been a revelation in this tourney...his movement, his
haranguing of defenders and passing stats have been world class.

chic2pimp: A draw would have been a fair result to the old England set up not this current one.
Hodgson has instilled two things no other Non English Manager coulda done....PASSION and PRIDE in wearing the Jersey !!!.
England were dire because they choose to sit back and defend their lead. And they duly paid for it.
It seems Walcott is most certain to start the next game with Young the most likely to give way. Very unlikely to drop Milner.
i doubt it...
walcott's awakening is a false dawn...we have seen it all before.
he's a good impact sub....he has pace to burn against tired legs
and by then, the game would be stretched to afford him the space
to run into. start walcott in a match and watch him vaporise into
anonymity.

rooney wld play behind welbeck....young and oxdale would start
with walcott/milner resting their corns on the bench.....
andy caroll is a plank. apart from the well taken goal, he was anonymous.
caroll makes his team mates lazy. once he's on the pitch, everyone hoofs
it to him.

In my opinion the FA made the right choice pickin the more tactically adept Woy over the Gung ho Harry.
I see him reverting back to his more favoured 4-5-1 come the knock out stages to make them that wee bit tighter than they were today.
To be fair to JT and Lescott, they've never and prob would never face a pair of skilful 6"5 forwards again so they can be excused a bit.
Stevie G is a predictable twunt grin........He could literally see 2moro's headlines in his head(Captain Marvellous Completes England's Fighbtack) and decided to steal Alex's thunder. Kudos to him though for his performance on the night. He led by example yet again.
2 games, 2 assists .What else could you ask of your talismanic Captain?
the knock out stage should start already....

Na that one we go chop?
Sturridge can GUARANTEE Chelsea 20-25 goals if played in no 9 position and Lukaku would guarantee 20 goals.
sturridge cannot....stop blaspheming!
lukaku at this level is worse than bebe....

What are we paying Torres for?
Oga Lamps cops 20 goals and close to 20 assists for eons, yet Nateevs is/was his number 1 hater.
20 goals/20 assists with at least 40% of those from set-pieces.
any retard can score from 12 yards. manuel neuer does that for bayern!
make torres the penalty taker, the freekick specialist and let's see
if he won't score 30 goals per season.

Why should Torres score only 20 goals in a close-to-60 game season?
how many starts would he get in a 60-game season?

Anything less than 30 goals for Torres is ABJECT FAILURE!

This is factoring

(a.) His price
(b.) The fact he is not tactically robust and can only play one way (through ball) and doesnt help his midfielders game
(c.) The sheer amount of times he loses the ball.

Infact, anything less than 35 goals is failure cos dude needs to repay 18 wasted months of copping £175k per week to do nothing.

ritchboy: Where were Busi/Alonso at the last Euros? Who won? Let's even forget Busquets sef as he wasn't a first teamer then, Alonso was selling kpoff kpoff from bench while Cesc/Xavi/Senna were the ones running things from the middle, now all of a sudden he's "indispensable" simply because the new coach fancies him, abeggiiii!
that era was different. no one took spain seriously.
they had won nothing until then....by the time the world realized what an outstanding
team they were, they had beaten germany in the final.

Of all the nailed-on starters at World Cup 2010, Alonso was probably Spain's worst performer!! cheesy
i agree ....
even right now, some of his passes are wayward but he does a job. he can sit there
for 90 mins and do his job without having the temptation to burst forward and leave
his position. fabregas/xavi in that role would get carried away cos they are too
attack-minded. he's the john o'shea of the team....not as talented as the others
but he is averagely consistent.

The "double pivot" has already failed to beat the only decent team they've played, Ireland are the worst team at the Euros. Netherlands'(the other team you cited) "double pivot" has also flopped.
that was because they did not play a genuine striker in the first game.
when torres came on, spain created more chances in that 15 mins more
than they did for the first 75 mins...and had torres been more clinical,
spain woulda copped 6 points by now.

for holland, the system should have worked...profligacy cost them...
so it's not a system error but a component error. van persie missed
sitters. i mean golden sitters - it's not like holland didn't create
golden scoring chances....

Note that I'm not against the double pivot, I'm against fielding players who can't adequately support their center forward(Xavi/Sneijder) in the hole.
so you don't think sneijder and xavi can adequately support their centre-fowards?
do you know the number of key-passes the duo have created in this tourney so far?

Also note having a "feeling" Spain will flop is very different from "predicting" Spain will flop, Obviously they're still favorites along with Germany irrespective of what formation they deploy.
feeling is prediction, my dear old friend....
if they had flopped, you would be feeling like nostradamus now that you
said it before it happened.

ritchboy: Oh! No biggie if a midfielder scores "from a CF position" but whenever a CF called Torres scores "from a CF position" you want to kill cows to commemorate his achievement grin grin
any idiot playing that role for spain would score....fabregas is an attacking midfielder...
so it's like scholes, ozil, sneijder, rooney, lampard, gerrard, van der vaart, etc scoring
from that position...

My "feeling" still beats your "predictions" cheesy
Ireland are shyte anyways, they woulda won with my hamster playing center forward. Let's see how they fare against better teams. They've already failed to beat Italy.
your feelings wanted one of busi/alonso benched so cesc can play...
i then told you that's impossible at this level...the indispensables
are busi + xavi + iniesta + alonso. cesc would have to be on the bench
or cop a forward role. you then said if they did that, spain would flop...

spain did it and they should be 6 points clear but for torres' profligacy
in the first game against italy or because their gaffer tried to play god!
spain would only get better n better...their world cup run is poorer than this
cos they lost their first game to switzerland but kicked on from then on.

if torres/llorente stay in form, spain would murder any team in europe...easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Ibime: Schweinsteiger raped Holland abeg.
Although Sneijder did some good things, he didnt cross the half-way line to help out De Jong.
sneijder was the best midfielder....tap into your euro 2012 app on your iphone
and see the raw stats. sneijder created more chances and made more passses in the
attacking 3rd...yet, you are talking about helping de jong. why should sneijder
help de jong when van bommel was on the pitch? the only difference was schweini
had a more clinical finisher as team mate whilst van persie looked lost more often
than not!

It was painful watching Van Der Vaart playing in central midfield. The dude was so weak, players just kept drifting past him. Obviously Sneijder has better defensive qualities than VDV but dude is feeling too big these days to help out his defence.
van der vaart's best position was playing just behind a striker...the same position
sneijder loves to occupy. it was because holland had to go for broke that made their
gaffer introduce a legion of attacking players. holland didn't fare badly but they
have the worst defence in the tournament.

Contrast with Schweinsteiger who controls the game from his own half and still produced two sumptuous assists.
schweini is one of the pivots....sneijder isn't

robben(12), ozil(12)

sneijder created the most chances with 6!
bastian with 3, ozil with 3.
if sneijder had a disciplined clinical finisher like gomez, it
woulda been his team copping the 3 points.

dayokanu: 2004 ferdinand did not miss due to injury< He missed due to failing a drug test
ferdinand did not fail a drug test, you tool!

don't be a simpleton....you asked me how many key players have england missed
in the last 3 tournaments? whether they were missed due to gunshot wounds,
missed via suspension, missed via injuries, etc don't matter. the fact is
ferdinand wasn't in portugal for euro 2004 and he's a key player.

2006 Rooney did not miss due to injury. Wasnt it in 2006 that Ronaldo got Rooney red carded.
2 months to that world cup, rooney broke his metatarsal. he was rushed back
to feature in the games he played...a costly mistake by eriksson. recovering
from metatarsal injuries normally take 12 weeks, in rooney's case, he was brought
back in 9 weeks...a player who had missed football time for about 8 weeks to world cup
shouldn't have been relied upon to deliver.

Meanwhile Take this
In 2002 Germany Missed Mehmet Scholl, Deisler and Nowotny who got injured in the CL semi vs man utd

2004 Germany missed Christoph Metzelder and Sebastian Deisler due to injuries

2006 Germany missed Deisler again and Lahm played all tournament with a plaster on his arm.

2008 Germany missed Bernd Schneider due to injuries

2010 Germany missed Michael Ballack due to injuries
apart from ballack's miss in 2010, all the players you have mentioned

talking about key players not no marks.

lahm had a plaster on his arm, yea right.
that argument would wash if we are talking handball, this is football.
