ritchboy:chicharito pass completion rate: 82.7% van persie pass completion rate: 77.9% ritchboy, you are the worst pundit in africa! |
You say that, but another day we could have a striker who was in the mood to finish even his dinner and we would have won that games last night. It would have covered up glaring deficiencies but it has happened many times this season.
but how did things get to this - we had a super-solid midfield in 2009. even then, fergie was playing 4-3-3 in europe with ronaldo as the centre forward, rooney on the left, tevez/js park on the right. why did fergie revert back to 4-4-2 in europe? an obsolete and outdated formation! we don't even have 2 fit midfielders who can play the formation. it's time to bring carlos quieroz back. fergie is old school and he admitted he's not conversant with the modern methods as far as tactics are concerned. i cannot blame him. i doubt fergie can use a tablet and this is where a competent number 2 should come in. mike phelan does nothing in the technical area. the tool nearly broke fergie's knee last night. i hope he gets sacked. https://i.minus.com/i9BBTYU1Jc6II.gif |
Tinkering is only an issue because the squad isnt strong enough. Particularly in midfield. He has to tinker we know we're very lucky Rio is playing so many games and not getting injured yet ( *tocuhes wood*) so he needs to be rested when possible. After the spurs game and with West Brom coming he picked the Bilbao game to rest him and that was a good decision to me because the League is far more important than the Europa. Everyone and their dog knows we dont have the squad for more than one competition and that has to be the league.
tinkering is what is killing the team in my opinion. did you see the team pep guardiola played this week against leverkusen? barca had won the first leg 3-1 and yet guardiola lined up his strongest possible squad. this is europe - if there's a 1% weakness in the team, the opposition would take advantage of that 1%. i actually think placing a game against west brom @ old trafford over europa league is misplacing one's priorities. if ferguson does not want to take part in europa league anymore, he should have lined up ben amos, rafael, fabio, vermiji, michael keane, etc in the defence. fergie rotates the team like a lunatic and yet it has not stopped the injuries and his tinkering has cost us points(remember the blackburn loss @ old trafford). 3 points in that game and we should be leading the table as we speak. Only positive is that Rooney is on a scoring burst so we should get some goals from him for the next 7-8 games.a team in transition should have a starting xi. if barcelona make the final of the champs league, i can easily predict their starting xi, same as real madrid. with united, no one knows. fergie permutates and often goes on a piss-take when selecting. giggs/jones in the midfield? in europe against el loco known for tactical wizardry! fergie must be a complete to think he could pull it off. |
naijaklef on fire!!!! |
mbulela:we are not poor, fergie's tinkering brain was the problem. first and foremost, we didn't have the midfield to play 4-4-2 and it was worsened by ferguson playing a winger/defender in the midfield. 4-4-2's days are truly over. i look across europe and there's no big team in europe playing the 4-4-2. rooney can play as a false 9. . . .there's no real need for him to have a partner cos he's a hybrid striker. we sacrifice a man in the midfield for attacking cutting edge when we have wingers who can score good goals - not clever! secondly - the absence of michael carrick and rio ferdinand. what was fergie playing at breaking the partnership of evans and rio. even after telling us on sunday the 2 now understand each other he still went ahead and played smalling and evans. . . .smalling could have started against west brom on sunday. i would have beaten bielsa's men with the same squad last night. https://i.minus.com/ibzd0Op15XcYx4.gif https://i.minus.com/iJ252YGJB4g3F.gif |
afrodoc:just like you admitted your parents engaged a gorilla in a 3-some. in case they have not given a full account about what transpired, your mum lost her virginity to this called gorilla as your dad couldn't get it up in the first date. your dad then lost his anal virginity to the same gorilla in a brutal r@pe - the case is still unsolved at panti police station in yaba. homoerotic nuisance. in case you're wondering why you're so hairy. . . . it's because there are gorilla genes in your body. i ask - who's downfall have we witnessed now? the whole world now knows your parents lost their virginity to a brain-dead ape. |
dayokanu:dortmund sodomised bayern munich @ allianz arena on saturday and the same dortmund team got r@ped by arsenal 3 days later. ![]() does that not tell you bayern is below arsenal - or what other logistics do you need? ritchboy:he's better than any striker in arsenal since henry! chicharito the goal king. let's compare his debut season to van persie's and get back to me. he had a bad game yesterday but which player hasn't in his career. |
dayokanu:city scored 3 goals(home/away) against united in 07/08. barcelona couldn't manage a goal in 180 mins of football. by dayokanu's logic - city was better than barca in 2008? i'd stop debating with you on football matters in europe. your brain cells have deteriorated massively. firstly, the wages of real madrid stars and now the position of dortmund on the table when they got pasted by arsenal. |
medjai:they have given guardiola so much trouble too - guardiola has beaten them only once in nou camp. i always respect bielsa's team. he's easily the most underrated manager in europe. besides, one has to wonder whether ferguson evern started his strongest team available. giggs/jones in the midfield against 3 midfielders of athletico was a mis-match. at least there's a return leg to play. united are more suited away from home with the lone striker(controlling possession and nicking a couple of goals or two) in a boring game. dayokanu:you are a disgrace to bundesliga if you can type this on a public forum. jeeez - when would you stop goofing? arsenal beat dortmund 2-1 on the 23rd of november. dortmund had a game in hand that week. they won their game in hand by beating schalke 2-0 and bayern lost 2-3 to mainz that weekend. dortmund jumped to 29 points bayern remained at 28 points. . . .besides, dortmund had already disgraced bayern munich @ allianz arena few days before dortmund got r@ped by arsenal. ![]() |
chamotex:4-4-2 in europe is tactical naivety. it helps if we actually have proper midfielders who can sit there and do the job of keane/scholes. what we get these days is a winger and a defender. giggs/jones, rafael/js park. when would we ever learn. it's not good enough in europe. debosky:but you still think szczesny is better? ![]() marco bielsa's team are worth gold. they always attack - even after rooney's penalty, they still wanted more. |
debosky:with giggs/jones as central midfielders, nothing could have worked. alex ferguson is a plank. mike phelan should be sacked. |
dayokanu:but dortmund(arsenal's bytch) are topping the league(7 points clear) in bundesliga. ![]() shame on bayern munich - the most useless club in the universe. when arsenal beat dortmund @ the emirates, dortmund were topping the table then. they led bayern by a point and they were tied with borussia monch'bach but dortmund led on goals difference. |
afrodoc:then stop talking about my downfall or quit quoting my posts overall, you cumstain! even if my grandfather doked his sister, it's not as bad as your parents involving a 6-ft gorilla in a 3-some to produce you. |
dayokanu:i remember city destroying bayern munich in manchester - abi your memory fails you? ![]() |
dayokanu:and arsenal in the 8th position beat dortmund home/away. dortmund are leading bundesliga, isn't it? |
dayokanu:shakhtar once beat guardiola's barcelona at nou camp! mbulela:team selection cost us! |
michael carrick is our best player! if others possess his football intelligence we would be ruling in europe. |
chamotex:yes, fergie always rests key players for minnows in the league. hernandez has been whack today. |
Oh well, that's just what we deserved.
the dude was offside but they deserve that goal. rooney can't pass - he can't sort his legs. anderson has done more in this game breaking the play than giggs/jones combined. |
what a horrible cross by ryan giggs. we concede another goal. . . .chaos in the defence! |
moonraker:apple won't rest on their laurels! they would bring up something next season. |
We're all over the shop. Wont mind us losing so SAF can get his ideas together
david de gea has saved us wella in this game. without him, we would be 4 goals down. is that ma boy, anderson? Emperoh:and he was hailing the partnership of evans and rio after the tottenham game. telling the whole world the run of games is the key to their brilliant performance against spurs as they now understand each other. few days later, he played a defender recovering from a serious head injury to break the partnership in a european game(k.o. stages). |
chamotex:fergie is a Arrow - i would never understand why he would start smalling in this game when we have minnows to play in the league in the next 8 games. jeeeez - team selection has ruined us more than team performance. nice - carrick is in. jones and evans in the defence - scary! |
chamotex:if we don't play carrick in the midfield, we could be beaten tonight. bielsa is the chilean manager @ the world cup. he's very good. his team is well drilled. they can hustle for the ball, they can keep possession and they get men in the opposition half very quickly. |
afrodoc:i really can't see the sense in this downfall nonsense you seem to spew these days - the whole of your village cannot scratch me let alone cause ma downfall! why isn't he the designated penalty taker? he is the most expensive player in britain. where's the confidence from the management to make torres the central figure @ chelsea? if he had confidence like u claim y didnt he seize d opportunity and take d penalty? u r now going on abt most expensive players taking penalties, what a joke! what is so bad about ur arguments is that u ignore truths that are obvious to u,just to further ur side of a particular debate.was frank le boeuf the most xpensive player or highest earner in chelsea when he was taking penalties? when kezman didnt score a league goal for a long time his chelsea team mates offered him the ball even though he was not the designated player and he scored.when makelele went donkey matches without a goal he was offered d chance to take a penalty even though he also wasn't d designated taker,he didnt refuse the ball!kezman and makelele were shadowy figures @ chelsea, abeg! this is about a player's ego and thinking why should he play the 2nd fiddle to juan mata? in my opinion, torres should be the central figure in chelsea. the team has to be built around him. if you spend 50 million pounds on a striker - everything the team does must flow through him. you think city were silly when they made tevez the captain and he was dictating things @ the etihad? torres is lacking confidence just like i said a few days ago.how can you argue this point when all evidence is against you.when drogba and ballack fought over a penalty, were they punished by the club? this shows you that the designation by the manager isn't ironclad and that torres could hav taken that kick if he had the COJONES!the manager is silly then. no wonder the club is in a mess. they keep deteriorating every season because the team managers are spastic. let's even assume torres has been short of confidence for eons - how do you make him confident? making mata the designated penalty taker in a fa cup tie? seriously - does that make sense to you? why not put torres as the penalty taker since drogba/lampard weren't starting? |
chamotex:pathetic selection. . . . fergie is going to need all his tactical brains to compete with bielsa. . . .bielsa is just a tactical guru. i respect him more than any other football manager cos he comes up with tactical innovations year in year out. . . . english teams have a deficiency. . . they cannot keep the ball! |
Olalekan 0:after 29 yrs of rain, wind, sunshine and etc. the road would have been tarred by now or whatever. we are not talking 29 days, we are talking 29 yrs!!! |
Olalekan 0:no witness no police report filed in then. no dna sample(hair, sweat, spit, etc) no semen sample. not even the c-s-i would crack this case. |
