This just puts to rest all the allegations of the south African referees ganging up against us.

When their keeper clashed into VO, it was never looked at. Why?
It could be because Osimhen's header was already off target before the clash.

Lol, how many times have Rashford tracked back and helped like he did today. So is it the few occasions he does that you'd use to judge his entire performance.
Bro, the rarity can't be the norm.
It is a noticeable improvement and instead of criticising him, you should be applauding his effort. That's what true fans would do .

Not every player would get two assists, have a hand in another and still decide to track back, but Rashford did that on numerous occasions today.

My only prayer is that this adjustment won't affect his impressive end products because as far as I'm concerned, end products are more important than pressing. Of what use is pressing if after getting the ball, you won't know what to do with it? 🤷🏽‍♂️. It would just feel like I'm watching the NPFL or street football. Gbas gbos without reasonable end products.

Rashy try today Sha,i was shocked to see him tackle that second half,he lost possessions in between, but his overall workrate was ok by me.
You can clearly see the hunger to improve in Rashford. He's not used to this style of play but is adapting well in such a short time.

We keep praising Raphinha for his pressing abilities but people forget that Raphinha gained lots of experience from Marcelo Bielsa who's known for his hard press style especially when he was at Leeds. Raphinha is used to this system and that's why he's flourishing under Flick.

All this one na Lamba.
I always find this talk funny when I see peeps saying Lamine doesn't also track back. That's a blatant lie.

Lamine tracks back and help defensively. The only time I'll say Yamal didn't help defensively in progressive games was this past few games where we clearly know he's been battling fitness issues. So I can't fault him when he's not 100%. The same can't be said for Rashford.

I can count more than 3 occasions in the second half where Yamal tracked back to help with the defense at dangerous transitions. There was one where he lost the ball but pursued the player well enough to disturb the player from giving the desired pass and we somehow retrieved the ball back from the opponent. Rashford wouldn't give you that and that's why some fans have issues with him despite his goals and assists. This is another reason why De Jong is always a culprit here.

Yamal also press well too upfront. Combine that with Raphinha's relentless press and runs we're solid.
@emboldened

You mean the same Rashford who tracked back multiple times today and also won possession? At some point, when he was pushed off the ball, he got back up, and immediately won back possession for the team. In the second half, he also chased Zaragoza and successfully blocked the ball. He defended very well on multiple occasions.

Both players have their strengths and weaknesses but it's absolutely wrong to use double standards to judge them. What goes for R, must go for Y.

I can only imagine what people would have said if it was Rashford who missed that one-on-one towards the end of the match and not Lamine Yamal.

Kilishihunter:
Rashford is being attacked cause of his lack of defensive contribution most times, the only player that can be forgiven for that is Messi or maybe Ronaldo and we don't have either of them here, he's been impressive via end product for us but our current tactical system demands everybody should press and be active out of possession, that's the major issue
Lamine's defensive contribution is also poor yet some people choose to keep quiet about it. Not that I'm putting Rashford and Lamine in the same talent bracket, but you get my point.

Just cut Rashford some slack. He's doing everything one would expect from an attacker and he's still new to the team. I don't want us to lose out on impressive end products just because we're obsessed with pressing.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by COOL10(m): 10:40pm On Nov 09, 2025
Of course, Rashford has just grabbed his 2nd assist in this game. He's literally had a hand in 3 of the 4 goals we've scored so far. He's also now sitting on top of the La Liga Assist chart.

Hat Trick for The Machine, Lewandowski.

Like, Rashford has delivered beyond my expectations — unlike that so-called Spanish world-class fraud with just 1 goal and 1 assist this season.
Their hatred for him is unwarranted. One would have assumed that they would appreciate an on-loan player with such impressive stats. Apparently, that's not the case.

whyhuh??
Of what use are your desired movements if they don't lead to goals?

Football is all about scoring goals and winning.
Every existing football tactic is all about scoring more goals than your opponents. It's not Rashford's fault that Hansi Flick is too stubborn to realise that this high line tactic is not as effective as it used to be.

Talking about Man Utd, I don't think I need to mention that almost every player who leaves that club ends up flourishing in their next club. Man Utd has very deep problems.

How many chances are they going to profit from his side? Score two assists and give the opponents free opportunities to score more.
His assist for the second goal and the cross that led to the third are the only reasons you have a fighting chance right now.
