if he'll stay or go
for now
he should do what he feels it best for him
At the moment, he has done enough to stay. How many times do we get to see a winger go on loan to a totally different league in a totally different country with language barriers and all of that, yet that same winger goes on to accomplish 6 goals and 8 assists in just 16 appearances for his new team?

When you put everything into consideration, Rashford has surpassed almost everyone's expectations yet some so called fans still choose to hate him. It's ridiculous.

He has also been active in pressing and physicality tonight apart from the assist though not up to the highest standards but he's trying, hopefully it would be consistent
Yes, his pressing has been on point today, as well.

Rashford has made multiple forward runs which could have put him through on goal, possibly even one on one with the goalkeeper but De Jong chose to hold on to the ball instead.

Its Arguable, Rashford isn't a team player, you'll come to see it.
The stats say otherwise 😄. 6 assists in 17 appearances for Aston Villa last season and now 7 assists in 15 appearances for Barcelona this season. Sounds like a team player to me. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Fermin is also stingy, but you saw his magical touch assist yesterday,i think Rashy and Fermin are suffering from "i wanna be on the scoresheet' syndrome.
Rashford has also delivered beautiful assists this season. I feel the difference is that Rashford is more of a team player compared to Fermin.

Fermin self can be selfish sha
His selfishness can be very annoying especially in big games like the El Clasico where he had about three free players ahead of him but he decided to shoot waywardly. We could have equalized that game, if only he passed. That's one of the things holding him back from getting to the next level. Even commentators have started complaining about his selfishness.

Barca is not a team for selfish players. Even Neymar had to learn how to become a team player when he joined Barca.

The worst part is that Fermin knows how to pass but he just doesn't like to do so. If I was his teammate, the kind insult wey I for dey shout for am ehn. E go hear word by force. angry

Bimmarlykay:
He is lazy, he will wait for teammates to work hard. Then, when he gets the ball, he'll either spam shots or waste the opportunity. I also notice he's stingy with the ball once he is close to the box or inside the box, even when he's heavily marked and there are options for a pass.

What do we term it, Greedy/Selfish if you ask me.
Lol, if you say Rashford is selfish, what will you now call Fermin? grin

Rashford has about 6 or 7 assists already this season.

Fermin will have at least two or three players in space during a counter attack but refuse to pass and still end up shooting waywardly. He did it against Real Madrid, Elche and even yesterday against Club Brugge.

Guy, you don cast abeg. 🤣

Carry your L and move on. I demolished your unscrupulous lies with undeniable facts, and now you’re trying to shift the goalposts from 'he never started any Clasico' to 'he only started because of injury.' The more you write, the deeper you bury yourself. Just admit you were wrong and move on. Your name won't change because of it.

This is my last reply to you. Reply all you want, but rest assured I won't read it. Once I see your name in my mentions, I won't bother. I have better things to do than waste my time with a blatant, unrepentant liar. Goodbye.

Be reducing your lies
Dani Olmo has not started any clasico since he joined Barca
Sczeny is the first choice keeper for Barca
The only players you can claim they are missing are Raphinha, Lewy and Gavi who is not always guaranteed to play even when fit. Raphinha was having it good because he was playing against Vazquez last season
So rest with your consolation
LMFAO. It's the projection and hypocrisy for me 🤣.

You’re accusing me of lying, yet you're the one telling numerous bold faced lies.

If Dani Olmo "hasn't started any Clasico since joining Barca," then who exactly started in Barcelona's 3-2 Copa del Rey victory over Real Madrid last season? Who also started in the 4-3 league victory as well? A ghost? A spirit?
My friend, better do your homework well before telling lies.

And as for Szczesny, well, that's another one of your numerous lies. Szczesny is not Barca's first-choice keeper this season; Joan Garcia is and he started multiple matches before his injury.

Next time, get your facts right before jumping into football debates. It'll save you from embarrassing yourself.

It's interesting how you didn't deny what I said about Gavi being a better presser than De Jong and fitting Flick's system better. You just shifted to calling him 'overrated but decent'. If he's decent, then what exactly makes him decent?

I don't know if I should see this as lamentation or looking for excuses.

As for Madrid, they can only beat what's in front of them. It's not their fault that the injury bug struck Barcelona at the wrong time.

And on a final note, Barcelona have not been playing very well this season mainly because their aggressive pressing has become so disjointed that opponents are bypassing it with less effort and when that happens, the defence is all at sea.
Lol, it's pretty simple. The pressing looks disjointed because the pressers aren't available. You're literally proving my point. cheesy

Lewandowski at 37 still presses defenders like he's 27. Raphinha never stops running, and Gavi is a pure pressing machine who'll chase anything that moves. When these guys aren't available, how do you expect Flick's system to click?

That's why it's a BIG shame for Real Madrid that they could only scrape past what was arguably Barcelona's second team, and to make it worse, Flick wasn't even on the touchline today. grin

guy stop talking what u don’t know gavi don’t bench d jong in Barcelona starting lineup, Barcelona first choice midfield pair has always been dejong and pedri
I'll say it again:

A fully fit Gavi will bench De Jong any time any day and it's not because Gavi is a better player. It's because he's a better presser and he suits hansi flick's style of play. De Jong is more of a natural deep lying playmaker who thrives only when others are pressing for him. He's not a box to box pressing machine that a fully fit Gavi is.

Lol, you don't know me from anywhere to know what I would have said or not.

Those who know me personally can affirm that I've been shouting it for the past two weeks that if Real Madrid should catch this injury-ridden Barcelona team, they're going to score a lot of goals.

Now imagine my surprise watching the match and seeing them score only two legal goals and winning the match with just a one-goal margin. It's a BIG SHAME to Real Madrid. With all their stars, they couldn't destroy arguably Barcelona's second team. Unbelievable.

It's part of the game. Loosing key players is not an excuse. When they delt with Madrid, they weren't complete as well.
You're wrong. Loosing key players is actually a reasonable excuse especially when those players are in the calibre of Lewandowski, Raphinha, Gavi and Dani Olmo. Those players were all available last season when Barca destroyed Real Madrid FOUR TIMES.

You can't call yourself a big team when your big players are injured. The fact that Real Madrid could only win by a one-goal margin against this obviously injury-ridden, depleted Barcelona team shows how weak Real Madrid is.

It simply means that if those players were available, na another 4:0 or 5:2 Madrid for collect grin

It appears you're grasping at straws sir. Same sczeny that just saved a penalty? Good players do not play well all the time. The irony here is rashford, ferran and sczeny are having a good game here. We can also say Barcelona are lucky because Mbappe missed from the spot
It seems you've not been following Barcelona's matches this season. Szcesney, Rashford and Fermin are not regular starters in this Barca team. They're only getting game time because Garcia, Raphinha and Dani Olmo are injured. De Jong would never start if Gavi was fit and healthy.

I love Rashford and neither did I say anything bad about Szcesney but the reality is that they're not regular starters in this season's Barca team and that's a fact.
