You think yorubas are fools or unstrategic like those from that side......atiku will end up not being on the ballot and that leaves tinubu with all these neophytes.
Tinubu can't leave Atiku out!

What will be the basis for that?

He should not even imagine it.

That would amount to disenfranchising the entire North.

Nigerians are entitled to democratic options. It was the same North that fought for him when he was going to be disenfrachised by a section.

If Nigerians do not want him, then he has to go!

Nobody owns Nigeria. We should stop encouraging such power drunk tendencies before Nigeria collapses.

This isn't about whether Yorubas are strategic or not. Did Tinubu do well? How many people ever get the opportunity to be Councilors in their lifetime, let alone president.

He should not have doled out the huge cutback earned from subsidy removal to State Governors. Most of them are very irresponsible people. He should have deployed the funds directly to completely overhaul critical sectors such as security, power, agriculture and transportation. This would have created millions of sustainable jobs for Nigerians.

He spent his entire 4 years politicking with these governors who know next to nothing about governance. He is a bold president by removing subsidy, however he could not translate that bold leadership into transformative impact for Nigerians. I really thought that he would.

Tinubu still the clear favorite at this point in time especially when using the Nigerian factor and putting his political prowess into consideration......but then a miracle can always happen so all hope isn't lost for the opposition.
If Nigeria's truly do not want him, there is nothing he can do about it.

Power belongs to the people.

Nobody owns Nigeria.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Presidential Ambition Puts Peter Obi's Chances In Jeopardy by CoolAmbience(m): 5:26pm On May 07
Gbadugbakun:
I see tinubu's hand in this game. With Jonathan, Obi and Atiku on the ballot, tinubu would have a smooth sailing in 2027.

I will keep my fingers crossed and watch the events unfold.
How does this give Tinubu any leverage?

If Obi and Jonathan run for President in different parties, Atiku gets the most leverage.

Politics › Re: Oseloka Obaze Replies Yul Edochie On Peter Obi's Record As Anambra Governor by CoolAmbience(m): 9:56am On Apr 24
Richtaiwo:
Honestly, I still cannot understand it. Here is a man whose record as governor is repeatedly associated with criticism rather than any meaningful achievement. The current Governor of Anambra State, a professor of Economics, has stated on several occasions that Pitobi’s administration increased the poverty rate in the state from 26 % to 53 %. There have also been accusations that he diverted state resources into his family business interests, while the brewery project he championed has been described by critics as little more than an expensive monument to poor judgment.

From the perspective of his detractors, there was hardly anything from his tenure that could be described as remarkable, and many people simply hoped to endure the end of his administration. What remains baffling is how a man viewed as politically underwhelming and deeply overrated has somehow been elevated by certain unquestioning supporters into the role of a national messiah. For many observers, that transformation is as absurd as it is difficult to comprehend.
There is nothing I hate in my life as much as misrepresentations, lies and utter senselessness.

I am from Anambra State but not a fan of Peter Obi.

However, let me set the records straight for you. What Soludo said was that 'under Peter Obi, poverty rate declined from 53% to 14.7%'....he went ahead to reference the Nigeria Bureau of Statistics for the data.

So, what nonsense are writing here?

Just pathetic.

Even though the United States has overwhelming military superiority over Iran, it cannot realistically “wipe out” Iran without severe global consequences. Good or bad, Iran remains a sovereign nation, and any attempt to completely destroy it would likely trigger strong opposition from other major powers like China and Russia, as well as destabilize the global economy. But that doesn't dispute the fact that the US remains the ODOGU of military strength in the world.
Trump doesn't see this way.

He talks as though he owns the world.

If the regime in Iran was so much of a terror as you and the US describe it to be, I doubt that the country would be this united in the face of the current war, to the extent of being willing to form a huge human shield around their nation's key oil asset, and in readiness to give their lives for their nation.

There certainly would have been an uprising against their nation. Do Nigerians live in better conditions that Iranians? Nominal GDP in Iran is almost four times what obtains in Nigeria, yet we think that Iran has a a regime of terror.

For a party whose national leadership has recently come out in the open to state that they are only waiting for the APC to have its convention so they can adopt Tinubu as their presidential candidate to accuse Enyinnaya Abaribe of anti party activities speaks volumes of how clueless APGA is.

Who takes them seriously?

If nearly all opposition governors and senators can move to the APC in just a couple of months, then Abaribe is more than justified to move to the ADC.

Politics › Re: ‘Back Tinubu’ — Soludo Asks Igbo Not To Waste Their Votes In 2027 by CoolAmbience(m): 8:23am On Mar 18
McLizbae:
The SE politicians must unite in agreement that alignment with Tinubu is a promising pathway to future presidency.

What is simple and clear is: Tinubu currently has strong political control and followership in the SW and SS. SE presidency's alignment with Tinubu now, clearly promise entire southern support. Furthermore, the loyal support for an Igbo presidency can be more guaranteed in the entire south, because the southern region shares more than just the region. There are also fair share of culture, religion, ethnicity (especially through inter-marriages and inter-migration).

For the northern regions, even Tinubu is still struggling right now for sufficient and sustainable control. Personally, I think it will take a lot (much more than simple politics) to convince a core Northerner to cast his vote for a Christian Igbo president.

A full southern support may only require less work from the Northern regions, to achieve Igbo presidency.

Thats not nonsense talk if SE is still seriously interested in the presidency.
How does Tinubu's 'seeming' strong political control and followership help ndi Igbo after Tinubu's presidency?

It is common knowledge that power shifts to the North after Tinubu. Are you saying that Tinubu will still wield such control and influence even after 8 years of Northern presidency? Should ndi Igbo not be brokering a deal with the North instead of Tinubu or the Southwest?

I truly don't know how we understand politics in the Southeast. Tinubu can't hand over to the Southeast. We are only being fooled.

The Tinubu presidency does not intersect with the Igbo presidential aspiration. We should be going for a strategic, watertight deal with the North, starting with the Vice Presidency.

Politics › Re: Obasanjo, Shettima, Jonathan Present As Soludo Takes Oath Of Office (video) by CoolAmbience(m): 5:08pm On Mar 17
Richtaiwo:
That is Peter Obi’s home state, yet he is hardly seen there because he doesn't give a rat arsss about his own people. However, let a mosquito fart in Lagos or chicken sneeze in Kano, Obi will book the next available flight to go condole with the family.

Within just four years, Charles Soludo has delivered far more tangible results than Obi did during his eight-year govt in Anambra. This disparity is among the reasons Sowore described him as a neatly packaged fraud who is fooling his headless mobs.
Did Obiano attend? No.

It goes to show how severing the person of Soludo is.

A Governor who approves of his aides denigrating the institution of the Office of Governor of Anambra State.

Why should Obi go there? We all saw how the Late President Buhari and his team managed former President Obasanjo when he spoke ill of his administration. He never let his team disparage Obasanjo, whatsoever.

I am almost certain that you aren't from Anambra State. If you were, you wouldn't genuinely find anything fantastic about Soludo's achievements, essentially in terms of their socioeconomic impact.

For instance, what would you say is the extent of socioeconomic impact of expending over N25billion in building a new Government House on more than 200 plots of land? How about spending more than N10billion in a Fun City project? I mean just swimming pools, cinemas, children's playground, country club etc. What happens to fixing security and getting the private sector to do that?

Are you aware that he is constructing another airport somewhere around the Old Aguata region where he comes from? Are you also aware that he recently just took the livelihoods of thousands of indigenes by the Onitsha Main Market demolitions? Where are the industries, factories and farms Soludo established?

What happened to setting up a multibillion naira Enterprise Trust Fund to unlock the next generation of innovators, business people and entrepreneurs, in Anambra? Is Anambra the palm oil or coconut hub of the region despite his distribution of seedlings worth billions in the State? Where are the plantations?

While I am not a huge fan of Obi, but let me remind you that Obi's investment in brewery still remains the state's biggest revenue earners, besides 4 or 5 banks.

So, please what has Soludo done outstandingly?
