BelieveAfrica:What is not heavy? Daring the FG to make public the audit report is not heavy? Nawa for you o. The onus lies on Wike to provide further details regarding contractual agreements and all what not, not Mrs Amaechi. He made the allegations. Dem no dey rush matter like that. Wike has to be allowed to fire another shot. Naso dem dey handle this kind matter. |
Max24:You no sabi law at all... The burden of proof lies on Wike who made the allegations. Sue this, sue that...what sense would that make when the so-called audit report is still held on to? |
FreeIgboho:Wetin pass you pass you. What tangible reason did she advance as to why she left her boyfriend? She just said 'he sprayed her money', they started vibing'..... Do those statements make any sense? Anyway, na wedding excitement still dey sha*k her, the marriage journey just dey begin. |
PlasmaTV:And eventually won the presidential abi? |
Poormanpikin:Obi's best bet is Vice Presidency. Any contrary move, he and Atiku will loose again. Only an Atiku/Obi ticket can displace Tinubu. Mark my words! |
SmartPolician:Lol. I do not think so. Buhari was not a disaster. We just understand things differently. |
owobokiri:Perhaps the latest version of the same madness you described is what is needed to think that Anambra is all about Catholicism. That is not just madness, but also sheer unwellness. Common sense should have triggered you to rationalize and appreciate the unprecedented growth of the pentecostal faith in Anambra, and the South east, over the last decade. Where do these new faiths draw their congregations from? From the sky, I guess. In case your brain is incapable of understanding, let me make it simple, the growth of the pentecostal, and other faiths, simply means a depletion of the Catholic faith. It is that simple. The Catholic faith no longer has that sort of towering influence you are ascribing to it. I will give you a clear instance, when we talk religious electoral influence in Nigeria, aside from the Sultan of Sokoto and powerful Emirs in the North, we talk of personalities like the Adeboyes, Oyedepos, Enenches etc, before talking about the Kukahs and co. The late President Buhari even visited the RCCG headquarters to push his election as president in 2015. Current President Tinubu benefited hugely from his wife's pentecostal faith and membership of the RCCG to emerge as president. As a matter of fact, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu's pentecostal affiliation historically neutralized the once unmovable religious conundrum, and delivered the first Muslim-Muslim presidency in Nigeria's democratic dispensation. So, make we leave all the Catholicism hype. It has waned significantly. Certainly, insanity is what has kept you in a forlorn detachment from the reality of a new Anambra that has been freed from the once tight captivity of your Catholicistic mind world. |
TheStranger:And this is supposed to be a statement of fact? What did the 'almighty' Idiagbon do upon his return from Saudi Arabia? Perhaps he is still in Saudi Arabia. My brother, Buhari had a reputation of inspiring confidence among his team, and allowing them prove their mettle, capacities and shinning. |
KEVIND:You really need to go get some healing. Every Nigerian, who is well, knows of Buhari's effort in birthing the 2nd Niger Bridge after almost four decades. He significantly improved the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, constructed the Lagos-Ibadan Railway, Apapa-Oshodi-Oworonshoki Highway, Bonny-Bodo Bridge, and several other initiatives. |
PMG2024:There is nothing wrong with renaming Unimaid after the late president. It does not matter whether it is 50 or 100 years old. Nigeria is not the UK or US. The late president deserves the honour. |
LordIsaac:That analogy is misplaced as far as I am concerned. Tinubu's father does not own Nigeria. No one does. It is thinking like yours that keeps us grounded on our knees. |
Urgent1Million:Una sef!!! Perhaps the first and second ladies should be acknowledged at the end of his speech. Incase you do not know, it is only logical and natural for a wife to share in the reverence accorded her husband. |
MartinCorridon:Obi blew Atiku's best chance in 2023. And the same Obi is planning to do so again. |
D00msDay:I wonder o. Peter Obi that could not even perform in Anambra. |
omoredia:Peter Obi will not be the candidate, and there is nothing you'd do about it. |
teadrake:How is it fake news? Make una dey try study small. Amaechi holds a significant traditional title in the Daura emirate. |
Willy2025:Lol. Give you Osibanjo indeed? How much work did Osibanjo put into becoming president? Buhari was an outstanding leader, hate him or like him. Dying at 82, he must have been fulfilled. |
TheStranger:There is no such as Idiagbon was his backbone. Buhari is known to show deep respect to his team, especially his next in Command. He is not the type that is given to self showmanship. Osibanjo shone under Buhari too. |
Thundafireseun:Lol. Small minds everywhere. What has that got to do with burying the dead? |
immortalcrown:Nothing is fishy anywhere. It is the small minds of many Nigerians that is, as always, playing a fast one on them. This is a typical muslim burial. No one waits for dignitaries before conducting islamic burials. Presidents from other countries will certainly start coming for condolences afterwards. How many presidents attended Yar'dua's burial? |
hisexcellency34:Atiku is the most likely. He already has 6million+ votes of the North. He just needs to work with the Buhari structure. Just that he lacks consistency. |
Mabuggi88:For 3 years you say? I am an indigene of Anambra, and stay there for significant amounts of time, yearly. |
Kalulu44:Lol. What the Anambra people of today yearn for is real and impactful development. Leave this Ojukwu sentiment, please. Obi won't get the ticket of the coalition, so the talk of voting him in the presidential election is out of the question. Did you hear of the unity pact by the coalition? The whole idea is to cage those who loose in the coalition primary. Obi will very likely be one of them. They will be obliged to work for the winner. |
Freshtruth:You want the single practicable permutation in all of these? By 2027, democracy will have stayed for an uninterrupted 28 years in Nigeria, since its return in 1999. In the 28 years, Southern Nigeria will have, by 2027, ruled for 18 years (Obasanjo's 8 years + Jonathan's 6 years + Tinubu's 4 years), while Northern Nigeria will have being in power for 10 years (Yar'dua's 2 years + Buhari's 8 years). This is simple. The North should produce the next president to close the ten years disparity; and like him or hate him, Atiku is the best card. Some non-critical individuals may want to ask about the North's dominating rule during the military. Anyways, I will wait for that before I respond. |
JAWBONE:Lol. It is not an act indeed. Have you been with Obi before? Una go just dey talk wetin una no sabi. |
ADCagent:Wike was right about Obi, biko. Lets stop all of these saintly imaging of Obi. If not for dishonesty, why would Obi conduct LGA elections just 3 months to leaving office? Obi only conducted elections to put Obiano in check. That was dishonest. I am an Anambra man, Obi is no saint, just like me and you. |
Buccalcavity2:You dey mind them. They are permanently in the captivity of hate. |
owobokiri:You just showed how ignorant you are. If you do not know, the population of Catholics and Anglicans in Anambra are not far from being at an equilibrium, this is without accounting for Traditional Worshippers, Methodists and Pentecostals, among others, who also represent a significant number. Perhaps you are incapable of recognizing that only Catholics have emerged as governors of Anambra state in the last 26 years. I guess, for you, the reason for this is superficially due to their number. Anyway, analyze however you deem fit. I have said what I said. |
Mabuggi88:That can not be correct by any means. So, what percentages do you allocate to Anglicans, Pentecostals, Traditional Worshippers and Non-worshippers, if Catholics take 65%? |
Justnation:I can bet you that not only will Obi be tribalistic about that nomination, he'd ensure he nominated a Catholic. Yes, say I said it. I am from Anambra as well. You want proofs? The first time he wanted Obiano out, he brought Oseloka Henry Obaze, a Catholic, to become Governor. The second time, it was yet another Catholic, Val Ozigbo, to replace Obiano. |
Kptech:Oga, you did not read the post. I can help you. Start from the paragraph where you have 'In a statement titled.....', count the paragraphs, start from the 9th to the 15th or 16th. Bro, I am yet to see such brilliant, articulate and factual remark as those of Dr. Saraki in the last few years. Just go read am. He intelligently roasted Akpabio by saying the National Aseembly was drifting and not as virile as it should be. He also finished Tinubu by talking about how subtly he is influencing a one-party National Assembly. In the same speech he acknowledged Akpabio as his friend and for not minding the President's body language in inviting him. If you have mastery of the art of reading between the lines, you will doff your cap for the writer of that speech and Dr. Saraki. It is so glaring that Dr. Saraki played a significant role in the content development and construction of that speech. I am surprised I am speaking this way of Dr. Saraki. I think that this is the most highly I have ever spoken of him. |
