No be lie

No be lie yet they have not stopped to compound the problems of worshippers with incessant calls and blackmails for contributions and donations for unending, gigantic Church projects.

Can't they setup and run factories, farms and industries to contribute jobs to the economy? These are more practical and far-reaching approaches instead of spending millions and billions on conferences that yield nothing.

A good number of these bishops romance and enjoy substantial pecuniary benefits from unscrupulous politicians, who are bent on running this country aground.

They should do more to alleviate the sufferings of the masses and quit acting as though they are exempt from the predicament that we are in today.

“ He wrote: “Immediately after the news of the sudden death of our kindred brother and biggest political export from Anambra state to the world, in the similitude of Ikemba Nnewi, Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (Ebubechukwuzo Nnewi); my 78-year-old father, Sir Osita Nzewi (Ugwunnia Nnewi) placed a call on me”.

That was a sad loss.

However the late Ifeanyi Ubah was never the biggest political export from Anambra state to the world. He was never ever near the biggest. Eulogizing the man is alright, but giving the wrong impression is wrong, even in the contemporary times.

What happened to the likes of Nnamdi Azikiwe, Alex Ekwueme, Odumegwu Ojukwu, Chuba Okadigbo, etc?
In the contemporary times, what about Peter Obi, Andy Ubah, Dora Akunyili, etc? Those are far bigger names, known by Presidents and world leaders for their achievements and contacts.

Let’s pray that the family of the deceased senator is comforted.

May God rest the soul of Distinguished Sen. Patrick Ifeanyi Uba, Ebubechukwuzo Nnewi. He represented my Senatorial zone, Anambra South in the National Assembly.

Secondly, I like what you wrote about him not being among the topmost political figures from Anambra, either historically or in the contemporary times.

Ofcourse, there were/are the likes of Dr. Joy Emordi; Sen. Lilian Uche Ekwunife; Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife; Dr. Nwafor Orizu; Chief Willy Mmaduaburochukwu Obiano; Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo; Sen. Victor Umeh; Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju; Chief Chris Azubogu; Dr. Ben Nwankwo etc, in addition to the names you listed.

Late Sen. Ifeanyi Uba unique bullish style of politics made him really popular...but men dey o wey pass am well well, in not just politics but in all ramifications. I guess that was your point.

Fact is, he has made his own impact. It is really sad that he died so soon. He was still quite young. However, death has nothing to do with anything else. It comes when it comes.

May God comfort his family, and indeed Ndi Anambra ni'le.

It's more important than government house

Not true!
Lets have your analysis.
Do the pipelines automatically translate to power supply?
Besides, projects are ongoing in nearly every sector.
That CNG pipelines haven't started does not mean that that the government isn't doing well.
When should the government be built?

Hi
mrvitalis:

I can count 5 things that can be done with this money

Do u know what a CNG gas pipeline network built to nnewi would do to that city?

Anambra as a whole has no gas pipeline network... It's by share native persistence that the state is Industrialized

Do you know what a gas pipeline network
would do to Anambra?

And you think a CNG pipeline is the only problem in Anambra?
Politics / Re: Ali Modu Sheriff Visits Buhari In Daura by CoolAmbience(m): 12:08am On Jun 25
SoNature:

They can still do nothing. The most influential politicians are from the South now.

Influence doesn't win elections.
The North, especially the Northwest is central to winning elections in Nigeria. Take it or leave it!

In 2015, we said that Jonathan was gone but many cursed us. With how difficult things are today, it is so easy to turn anyone against Tinubu.

Southern presidency has always been worse off for Nigerians. Buhari, as 'bad' as people claim he was, managed petrol cost at less than N250 until he left office. Today petrol sells for over N700, in just slightly over a year since Buhari left office.

With the way things are today, people are beginning to careless whether the presidency is occupied by someone from the North or South. They just want respite. Cost of food items have gone incredibly high. People are lamenting. It doesn't matter who anyone supported in the last election. We've moved past that stage.

Sports / Re: NFF Meeting Sources Said Finidi Never Said What Osimhen Insulted Him For by CoolAmbience(m): 9:58pm On Jun 17
castrokins:
My Point Is Making It Public, In My Opinion, Is Wrong. I Have Hardly Ever Heard A Top Manager Publicly Throw His Players Under The Bus. It's Not Even About Osimhen. It's About Team And Man-management. You Win As A Team And Accept Responsibility When Your Team Isn't Doing Well. That's What Managers Do. You Have The Training Ground And Dressing Room To Rant Your Frustrations To Your Players! Meanwhile This Isn't Suggesting That Osimhen's Right To Denigrate Coach Finidi.

Bro, you are getting it wrong.
What Finidi was alleged to have said was said in a closed door meeting with the Sports Minister and NFF.
It was not said 'in public' like in the sense that you painted.
Osimhen reacted based on what he was told the Coach allegedly said in a meeting. Not that he heard Finidi saying it directly.
No matter how we look at this, Osimhen was wrong. He should not have relied on what he was told or what he read his Coach said. He could have reached out to Finidi, respectfully to tell him what he heard. It is that simple!

Nigerians and our yeye way of judging matters...Dem go dey support am now until dem ruin am. That's Nigerians for you. Once person get money, dem no dey fit tell am say e dey wrong. Money worshippers! Finidi too no dey hungry. Osimhen was wrong, totally.

You called a mature adult unwise because he made his position on a matter.

Anyway, i do not think that he is unwise. What happens to taking the money and praying for himself? Will God refuse to answer his prayers because they aren't coming from Adeboye on his behalf?

As for me, if he chose Adeboye's prayer over the money, that would be idolatry, because he does not need Adeboye to have access to God.

Lack Of Man Management?

There was nothing wrong if Finidi said that.
In reality, players are supposed to, on their own, demonstrate palpable commitment and enthusiasm to play for their countries.

If players are showing lack of willingness to play for their country, what do you expect the coach to do?
It is difficult to manage a player who you had to convince (or even beg) to play.

Na so we dey run am for Anambra o.
Zone by zone, make issue no for too much.

If you followed the 2021 governorship election in Anambra, you'd observe that the top three contenders, Charles Soludo of APGA, Val Ozigbo of PDP and Andy Uba of APC, are from the South, and also from the same LGA, Aguata.

This isn't a mere coincidence. It is not just the turn of the South, it is the turn of the OAU (Old Aguata Union: comprising Aguata, Orumba North and Orumba South LGAs).

Why has Atiku's personal choice of where to live got to do with Emirate Airline and the UAE perceived disrespect to Nigeria as a nation?

Childish response

What I can say is, action begets reaction. Perhaps, you've a point.

However, Chidoka could have found a way to reach out to Keyamo in private. Not everything is put in the public space.

He should have seen the politics side to his statement. Not every Minister would enjoy been used to 'shine', regardless of the genuineness of intent; and especially not when the 'adviser' belongs to an opposing political party.

Chidoka's statement was a clear attack on the ruling APC bordering on diplomatic relations and foreign policies.

I can't entirely blame Keyamo. This obtains everywhere.

Wetin dem dey use being an indigene of Agulu take do?
I am responding to you because I need to disabuse your mind.
Maybe goggle also told me that Obi's sister owns Vianna Bread Bakery in Awka abi?
Maybe you started hearing of Agulu after you started supporting Obi. Incase you do not know, Sen. Joy Emodi, who was a candidate in the 1999 governorship election in Anambra is from Agulu. The late Prof. Dora Akunyili (from neighbouring Nanka), married an Agulu man, also put the town out there, by establishing the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of NAU.
Just last week, I drove through the popular Nwagu junction (which is the spot for banana, groundnut and other fruits) in Agulu to attend the burial of a former LGA HPM in Adazi Ani. So, you can't be saying nonsense. Most towns in Anambra are just few minutes drive away from each other. Anambra has the smallest landmass in the country.
The road from Amawbia through Nise and Nibo before Agulu, down to Nanka hitting the Ekwuluobia flyover under construction, and stretching to Nkpologwu and Uga ( which shares borders with Akokwa in Imo state) is on the verge of being dualized.
Akokwa is the home town of Orange Drugs founder, Sir. Tony Ezenna.
