Yesterday I was in a meeting when I suddenly got a facebook chat message from my extended Uncle whon is a Commissioner in my state. For one I have never chatted with him before, so I was over excited getting a message from an ever busy Commisioner. So he asked for help and it sounded logical and reasonable and within my capacity, so I quickly obliged. But I was shocked when after the first assistance he chatted back and yet requested for another help. I became very suspicious. This morning, I sent a text message to the Commissioner to verify the authenticity of the chat we had yesterday, lo and behold, He confirmed his facebook and yahoo accounts were hacked. Please learn from my experience. See screenshots of the chats attached

harrysterol:This has been reported officially and accordingly. This is only sharing my experience with nairalanders. |
Unlike March 28th where the PDP agent hijacked presidential and House of Reps ballot papers and sped off in a waiting motor cycle shortly after accreditation , which brought the voting process to an abrupt end without giving me and many others the chance to vote, April 11th election in PU003 (Primary School Isama), ward 6, Oruk Anam LGA of Akwa Ibom was another experience altogether. With the assurances that security shall be hightened following the deployment of a supervising AIG to Akwa Ibom and a corresponding deployment of 3 Commissioners of Police one for each senatorial district of the state, we all trooped out as early as 8am to the polling center. The electoral officials arrived some few minutes past 8am and commenced accreditation. At about 9am, some prominent PDP members in the ward arrived in a navy blue tinted hilux van and asked to see the PDP Agent of the unit who, they were told was not around the polling unit as at the time of their visit. They now called the PO1, a Youth Corp Member and handed her an envelop and told her that 60k was in it to be shared among the 4 of them in the order of PO1 and PO2, 20k each while the other 2 share 10k each. They later called the youth leader and some community elders and handed 150k to them as shared in each of the units. As the visitors drove out, the PDP agent came in and acosted d youth leader and elders who handed the 150k to him to be shared at the end of the day. While all these, accreditation was ongoing and had finished before 12.30 pm as there was low turn out of voters due to the previous experience of March 28th. There was no security officer present, not even a Man 'O' War personnel deployed to the Unit. By about 1.15pm voting had not started and I went and asked the PO1 who told me that they were just waiting to see if others will come out for accreditation and that they had been instructed to start voting by 2pm. Myself and a couple of other guys stepped aside for chats and by 2pm we all went back hoping voting would commence, but on getting there the community elders said that the pdp agent had escaped with the 150k and must be made to come back with the cash before voting commences. This was a community protest and was agreed to by all the elders and youth except few of us who felt the protest was born out of greed and insisted that voting must commence. This caused a great outroar and almost degenerated into free for all, untill few of us who were against the protest calmed and decided to call the guy with the cash who promised us that he didn't run, that he was on his way back. We had gathered to have a reflection on all these events that happened while waiting for the dude with the cash to come back, but not upto 5 minutes, about 7 vehicles, including the hilux van that came earlier drove in to the premises and about 5 men first came out with guns(I suspected these guys to be Police Officers because of the type of guns they carried and their dressing, although they were on mufti, and some of them had handcuffs tugged to their trousers). Immediately a guy came out and ordered the INEC staff to park everything into the car (I was later told the guy is the PA to Gov Akpabio on project monitoring) other guys came out from the other cars and joined in dismantling the inec materials and parked everything into one tinted hummer bus, while the men with guns all took positions and watched. Some of the old women and elders attempted to run initially because of the commando styled operation but stayed back when they noticed that they were not aiming at anyone but the electoral matetials and officials. At the end of their operation which lasted about 5 minutes, the ground guys jumped into the trunk of the hilux with jubilation as they sped off, as all of us watched in awe like an action movie. I called a friend in the neighbouring village and he told me the same thing, and as I came to find out, it happened like that in all the units in the Local Government. I thought of taking a video clip with my phone but was scared of possible attack as one of the gun yielding guy was standing close to me. It pained me because I was not allowed to vote. |

Hi all, are there Hotel Managers/Staffs on Nairaland, we may have to converge here to share our thoughts on any issue that may help us in the course of our respective duties. Great hospitality Service providers! Great. |
A POEM TO DINAH Please tell me why smiles shouldn’t flow down my cheeks; Also tell who wouldn’t be glad; As the hens get proud at egg laying for the chicks; And the men on the street that are mad, Even smile at the sight of those they are pleased with; And so let my face read aloud the letters of my heart forthwith; For truly, the feelings are the messages of the heart to the face; And the wordings are so decoded by both at their pace. Making choices are a product of feelings Interpreting our feelings determines our meetings Then is the selection that brings the companion Happiness is it that comes from the union With the abundance of friends around me Intimacy could be available without a price to me But if selection could allude smiles Then choice must be made with happiness as partner to trek the miles Explain then, o! Explain Happiness, can it ever be in vain? If my choice exhumes happiness, am glad about it For smiles exist not, without happiness attached to it. Moments upon moments I keep reflecting The memories of my recent joys keep stretching All but by the wonderful choice I have made The choice that I can go to bed without dinner Even though I am filled through the night with the happiness from Dinah For she is a pot and bunch of joy And to which I derive joy from, I can never toy And to her alone I derive my joy O! Please tell me why the smiles should cease to flow down my face For I doubt anyone would not rejoice for winning a race. By Coolayou |

Am very happy, at least for once, a governor in Nigeria care for the lunatics on the street. they were evacuated from the streets and taken to the hospital where they were adequately taken good care of until they were fully rehabilitated. Kudos to the Akwa Ibom State Government. from the post above, I can see the due diligence at which the Akwa Ibom State Government handled the repartriation of these two guys. As a Journalist, I will strive hard to get the identities of these 2 gentlemen and get a testament from them as to the evil at which Akwa Ibom State Government committed against them for taking them out of the street, rehabilitating them and officially handing them to the Lagos State Government, as depicted by some commentators in this forum. |
