@ekeminiabasi,names shouldn't really cause any issue between you and hubby at all.whether first name, second or third name, the child would choose that she\he prefers later in life and be identified with that. For instance, my Twinnie and I actually use the name given to us by our maternal grandmother when we got into the higher institution and that has turned to our main name now,we didn't even know who gave us the names, it was later I got to know.On my wedding invite,na me re-arrange the names as I want(whether you first or second).Same with my kid brodas, they just chose the name dey felt cool with. |
Amhappy, thanks for sharing your story. Let me also drop mine, might be helpful .After I had my son at 37weeks due to HBP in September 2015,we were discharged after 4 days as we were declared fit and well to go home. At least, my BP was in check. Two days after discharge from the hospital, one of my legs began to swell uncontrollably, this was strange to me as my BP was almost okay.i did some research on google and every symptom I had was pointing to DVT(Deep Vein Thrombosis)-Blood clot.My aunt and hubby kept telling me to raise my legs but I knew it wasn't the solution. The next day, i dressed up and left for the hospital. On getting there,my doctor attributed it to my BP issues even though I told her it was only on one leg and prescribed Monoduretics for me.Immediately she finished and gave me the prescription, I asked her if this wasn't an issue of blood clot. You need to see the way she jumped up from her seat and looked at me. She quickly called for my case file .It was then I realized that I wasn't given a particular injection according to her after my operation. She summoned the head nurse, I don't know what she told her, but she came out apologizing to me.I was told to take aspirin immediately(exactly what I had read on the internet).Imagine if I hadn't done any research on my own as i read DVT could also lead to Pulmonary embolism which could be fatal. Few days later, the swollen leg became okay and I felt better.Let's endeavour to read at least to gain some knowledge. We never know when we might be saving our own lives. |

firsttymum:. Kia, u are too funny.Well, u may need to increase his number of feeds per day.i also think Genes play a part too.My son is chubby and am guessin he took after his dad.He is on frisogold, cerelac and Nan 2 with breastmilk as dessert and sleeping pills |
mitchyy:. I had my son at 36 weeks and 6 days and no issues at all.He is nine months plus. |

Am so sorry abt ur loss@Iyabetajos..I was truly excited when u put to bed like i knew u personally maybe becos we battled HBP in pregnancy... May the Lord comfort u and give u double for ur loss. |
BritneyStacy:. Well,i think dey are dis big cos we come closer to snap dem pictures..(My view) |
Congrats Iyabetajos.....am soooooo happy for u..Don't entertain any fears abt viability, your son has come to stay indeed.Pls heed to d advice a mama gave abt caring for ur baby....and take ur BP drugs for d headache... |
rofemiguwa:. Babes relax....this too will pass.I remember when I had my son, he had scaly back which used to peel off, I came here and saw some mama's hailing Sebamed, I bought the soap and cream.I noticed that it stopped, after a while it came out again..i just removed my mind from it and it went on its own.You may want to visit the hospital again and take ur mind off it for a while... It can't be on her face forever... |
rofemiguwa:. Baby tetmosol is in a pink packet with a picture of a baby on it. That's what I use on my son after our Sebamed Soap finished cos we were gifted with a carton..BTW..I love ur "take on the mata" ![]() |
sheweezy:. Yes it's possible..My son didn't have any symptoms at all.Pple were advising me to get Bonabebe and Co but I didnt. He has got about 7 tooth showing already and doing very fine. |
rezzy:. Congrats...Your Joy shall not be cut short... |
lcoral:. Please get your BP checked without delay. |
Iyabetajos:. It's well with u.This was even my reading at some of my visits in my first trimester and second trimester..but I pulled through to 37 weeks..so you too can..I was on aspirin, aldomet and nifedipine.am a bit worried cos u complained of headache, swollen legs and hands...please make sure u follow ur doctor's advice strictly.....did ur doctor include aspirin in ur drugs earlier on?? |
KaunisMomo:. It's well with you. You can also look up DASH on the internet(Dietary approach to stop hypertension).Your doctor may add another drug if aldomet is not controlling it.Always remain calm and confess positively. Also report to the hospital immediately if you notice any form of headache..#check my previous post# |
sheweezy:. Too cute.I love the his jeans.. |
ozycy:. I used both molfix and Angel diaper.Very gud products |
neks31:. Not at 28 weeks oh.i stopped mine at 35 weeks cos my delivery was planned at 37 weeks.Meanwhile my oda hospital had a plan of stopping at 36 weeks. |
neks31:. I used it alongside my antihypertensive drugs(Aldomet-500g 3x,den towards the end of my pregnancy,Nifedipine was added),but stopped Aspirin some weeks to delivery(Due to my history). My doctors(3) from Lagoon and Luth recommended it. You can try and Google it up too. I know of a Mama here dat only used Aspirin to manage her BP thruout her pregnancy. |
mumihaja:. Congrats Mumihaja!!!!!been reading ur posts on the other thread. God is indeed very faithful... |
Goodmorning Mamas.. I have always said I would tell my story in detail someday as a testimony and maybe for a mama to pick a thing or two from. At my 20th week appointment(Sept 2014) in my first pregnancy, my BP shot up as against a booking in of 110\80. At first, d doctor attributed it to stress and gave me a two week appointment. By then,my BP had even gotten higher to 168\100 with swollen legs without any protein in my urine. Immediately,i was placed on only aldomet and given another two weeks appointment.I had began to do my research on Google and came across the word Preeclampsia and noticed dat I had d same symptoms as my face was also swollen. Instead of waiting for d second week, I went to d hospital the next week and by then my BP was already 186\110 with +++ protein in my urine meaning my kidneys were now affected.I was placed on admission immediately and then further test revealed I also had HELLP(Heamolysis, elevated liver enzymes, low platelets). The battle to crash my BP started, different BP drugs were administered yet no improvement. The doctors den decided to terminate d pregnancy and I was finally induced at 23wks+ as the only cure for preeclampsia is delivery of the child. My siblings kept asking different doctors they knew if dere was another thing dat could be done to save d baby and I remember clearly what one doctor said: Mother we know,Child we don't know, the Child should go for the mother to live as the chances of survival was slim for d baby at that stage.Luckily after some days,My BP began to come down to a manageable level. One Ajebo Physician who handled my case advised me to wait for a year before taking in as what I went through was traumatic(in his own words) and introduced me to DASH(Dietary approach to stop hypertension). So you can imagine my fear when I found out I was expecting in January this year. That night,I wept like never before in my hubby's arms as memories of the last episode kept flashing through my mind and the physician's advice. Like Jackie Mize said in Supernatural Childbirth: The Unknown Produces Fear,I began to read up articles on pre-eclampsia in subsequent pregnancies on the internet and how to guide against it's re-occurrence as one of my doctors had told me later on dat sometimes it occurs again in the next pregnancy, but not as worse as d first because they would be on the look out and you would be monitored very closely. I registered for antenatal at different hospitals -Lagoon and Luth at barely five weeks and was placed on Aspirin and oda anti-hypertensive drugs and my DASH diet(foods rich in potassium, water melon etc) as my BP never went down completely after dat incident. I became my own doctor too as I had my BP monitor which I checked my BP every day with and watched my legs for any sign of swelling. At some point in my pregnancy,d new physician and my gyna asked me if I had kept money aside for incubator incase d last scenario played out but I kept praying for God to lead me to a safe term(they were looking at 28 weeks). But the Lord saw me thru and took me even further. So when my doctor decided for me to have d baby at 37 weeks,i didn't hesitate as I knew too well d danger as my BP had began to creep up dangerously again. Thankfully it went well and my Prince charming is here with me today to the Glory of God. Thanks to Kaffy4bill for calming me down dose days it seemed like I wasn't gonna pull d pregnancy thru.... |
dv4real:. Now am gonna come out of my active silent mode. YES,i have witnessed it,I survived severe preeclampsia last year (September 2014) but my baby didn't make it through as I was barely 23 weeks and five days. Preeclampsia is not to be taken lightly at all as it progresses very fast. I nearly lost my life as I also had HELLP.Thankfully, the doctors acted very fast.So please follow your doctor's decision. It would end in praise. The Lord has even restored unto me that which I thought I had lost as my bundle of Joy arrived in the month of September 2015. |
