laribari: OK let me ask you. Are u saying igbo states don't get allocations at all? It's also in millions oo, I hope you know and that's why a governor in the east can afford to have ministry of happiness (wasting money).
My brother traveled some 6 yrs ago from onitsha to Enugu and complained of the terrible road conditions. This was even before buhari came oooo and till now the road is a mess. Are u saying the governors have not been getting anything? Or didn't jonathan government see it?
I'm not supporting anyone but my point is that igbos have themselves to blame too in terms of development. They rather develop lekki and the likes.
Talking about agitation, it's a mere waste of time because that won't bring the solution becos we as a people are corrupt. How many nation have divided and became better in Africa or the world. Pls name two.
Abi you think Germany dey stupid to unite east and west? I stopped reading your post..when you talked about the governors receiving allocations. Go and study how Nigeria government operate, then I can engage you. You obviously don't know your left from your right. Is the projects listed in SW, done by the governors in SW...with their own allocation? |

laribari: You lot almost ruined it with Nnamdi kanu crusade. You would have started from scratch again and would be set back by 50yrs again. Thank God sha.
Those who died actually died for nothing the way it's looking now. Look at Lagos state, the fastest developing city in Nigeria (if not west Africa). They do not blame government or wait for FG for anything. They generate a lot of money from taxation and we can see how they are working.
Rather than agitate, develop that which you have first. I'm actually in love with Enugu, my favourite Igbo city, follow by Owerri. I don't see where a call for referendum or a call for self determination is a crime punishable by death... May be you have different sets of laws used by you and Nigeria. As for Lagos and SW, they get more from the FG, so why would they complain. The rail line from Lagos to Ibadan is on course...Lagos-Ibadan express road is on course. Have you seen Onitsha - Awka federal road recenlty? People have the right to agitate when they are persistently marginalized. |

Are you saying ibos don't live or have houses built 100 years ago, why only new building less that 5 years old ?
Are we going to agree that ibos were not living in buildings 50 years ago ? If envy and pain has not killed off your brain cells you would have seen that the thread is trying to show progress after the destruction of the old buildings in the war. |

For every igbo like this, there are millions basically living..i only pity them daily ...if there millions of Igbos living...then there will tens of millions of Yorubas living... The poverty index is worse in people from SW than people from SE and you know it... See... “So far, we have 455,857 poor and vulnerable households uploaded onto the National Social Register, from which 297,973 households have been mined and are being paid stipends in 20 States. “These States are Jigawa Bauchi, Kogi, Osun, Cross River, Anambra, Katsina, Kano, Taraba, Gombe, Adamawa, Niger, Nassarawa, Benue, Oyo, Ekiti, Kwara, Borno (IDP), Kaduna and Plateau. ProWalker: Because selling lands to you is a no go area, since you insist on dying in Lagos, the best way to help you is to sell swamps and water log forest to you after selling your inheritance in your village and still refuse to give you legal ownership Fair enough? ProWalker: I want you to answer this question Why are yorubas selling swamps and water log for you ? ..because they are poor and can never be able to ddevelop them even in the next century... We have the financeial muscle to develop anywhere...thats why you call us the developer... Once we develop, your government will come to flex their weak muscles... Check out how Alaba International Market was before the developers moved in. You should be grateful to the developers... |

ProWalker: You think posting such pictures will change the fact that your shitthole region is backward ? You keep crying marginalization and at same time making noise you are better In Abia, remove Umuahia and Aba...every where else is a village with hamlets with a sprinkle of block building here and there
In Imo, take out owerri and you have a shittyyy villages dotting the landscape
In Anambra remove Onitsha, yes only onitsha! Awka is a glorified village not worthy to be call.a local govt that you made state capital
Enugu and Abakalaiki..remove the state capital and all you have are red mud villages
Look at just ogun state and you will count nothing less than 8 huge towns bigger than most of your state capitals Read this post by a SW person and cover your face in shame... "...During the 60s and 70s when u mention Port harcourt and Enugu in East, mention Kano and kaduna in North, then u must mention Lagos and Ibadan in west. Lagos was the capital of Nigeria while Ibadan was the largest city in West Africa. We were a very suffisticated people then. We never had much brown roofs. We had largest professors. we also had other cities such as Abeokuta etc but now table has turned on us, ibadan is the biggest slum in the whole of Africa (if not the world) with many dirty buildings without toilets. The brown roofs are enough to make you throw up. Abeokuta has declined from a city to a small town with slums. Other state capitals in west are mere villages like, osogbo and ado ekiti and akure. (I'd have icluded ilorin but since it has an emir as the traditional ruler, it is now owned by northerners). Here in osogbo the best hotel looks like a guest house Coming to east, you now have many cities, including ones which were not developed in 60s. They have booming cities like Enugu, Owerri, Onitsha, Aba, Nnewi, Awka , Umuahia. If u go to awka umuahia and owerri, u see modern buildings without brown roofs, u see fine hotels, shoping malls and fly-overs under construction. If u also go to other ibo cities outside southeast such as Asaba and Porthharcourt u see the same development..." Oni |
