something of that kind happened to me in sec. schl. I drew tattoo on my left arm and one teacher (a pastor) saw it. He immediately accused me of cultism and all sorts. Wasn't even concerned about what it is I drew or the health implication of using Biro on my skin. He later released me when he realized how silly the reaction of other teachers to his accusations made him look.

After observing the argument between the proponents of atheism and theism, I've realized that the bone of contention is the 'occurrence of paranormal phenomenon (extrasensory perception (ESP), telekinesis, ghosts, poltergeists, life after death, reincarnation, faith healing, human auras, and so forth)'

Now, all theists believe in paranormal phenomenon and that they are divine, while some atheists believe they are made up and some others believe they came be explained.

This has caused a lot of back and forth between the two parties. Both parties present lots of examples to back up thier claims, but none of these claims have proved to be sufficient enough to triumph over counterclaims, which has left thier beliefs questionable.

All the threads on this topic lack substantial evidence that no conclusions can be drawn from them.

My opinion:
I don't see the point in entering into an argument/opening a thread on 'this is the right ideology' when you don't have enough/sufficient evidence/proof. to back up your claim and sufficient knowledge of the opposing ideology to disprove it.

My advice:
The religious people should desist from arguing this topic (because you cannot win, you can't provide the evidence the atheist is asking for) and face thier faith. Pray for them. Preach to (not argue with) them, and if they refuse to listen. Leave them alone, the truth will be revealed on Doomsday.

The atheists on the other hand, actually have something to lose, because if doomsday eventually comes and God's existence turned out to be true, you'll end up with the short end of the stick. Therefore, you have to study /find enough evidence to disprove the existence of God and to provide explanations to all the unexplained phenomenon that has be attributed to providence.

And for people like me........you can keep waiting
Being an atheist is definitely harder than being a theist.

Grace is unconditional doesn't mean intentional sins will not be tried, grace is unconditional doesn't mean an unchecked sin will not be checked..unconditional grace means even wen we don't deserve it, he still takes us in, just like the prodigal son he received grace only wen he came back not while he was away

recieving Grace while you are away is unconditional. If you have to come back/repent to receive the grace, then the grace becomes 'conditional'. Don't contradict yourself. As far as 'sin' is concerned, you're as undeserving as an atheist cuz I really don't know anybody that's above 'sin'.

A friend:
My pastor prayed for Mr. A, he got healed of cancer. He prayed for Miss. B, she was given a visa. Laid his hands on Mrs. C's head and her headache disappeared. Now, he prays for my son to be healed of measles and asks me not to administer drugs to him cause he has been healed, and you expect me not to believe?

Even if the boy eventually dies, and the pastor says it was meant to be, God loves him more than us, that's why he took him to be with him or I didn't have enough faith that's why he died, you expect me not to believe him (the pastor that cured cancer with prayers)

Wouldn't it be nice being in heaven when I die (as a Christian). I'll enjoy everything I want, won't feel no pain no more. Everything will be bliss. We all will be singing 'hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah' forever and ever. It won't ever get boring. I won't ever get tired. God won't ever get tired of it. He would just sit on is throne and bask in the glory of his praise.
The unbelievers, on the other hand would be banished to a forever of misery and suffering , endless torture, and what have you. They would spend forever regretting thier decision to be unbelievers. Knowing fully well that suffering cannot be appreciated in the absence of enjoyment. Sadness becomes the norm in the absence absence of happiness. And that humans tend to adapt to a situation that keeps remaining constant for a long period of time which means it is possible for those in hell to adapt to the pain.

If u can't do wat it requires to get a miracle then why ask at all if u are required to read medicine before u become a Dr, u would do it, if u are required to serve in d nysc before u become a graduate u would do it, then u are required to also examine ur life thoroughly before you ask from God. because grace will not come where there is sin..... And unanswered prayers doesn't mean you are the problem as a Dr it might also be the parent's fault.
