Abeg let's try not to be deceptive. There's nothing relative about the phrase 'brand new'. Brand new means straight off the assembly line, anything else is not brand new plain and simple.

Actually this isn't exactly accurate.

Brand new or new in auto terminology especially in the US could mean a number of things.

It is often used to refer to a vehicle that has never been registered or titled, the mileage notwithstanding. A vehicle may easily gain hundreds of miles if it were driven from the factory to the dealership. That wouldn't make it used.

In states like New Jersey there's a New Vehicle Lemon Law which refers to a brand new vehicle as a vehicle under 24,000 miles OR used for less than 2 years from date of manufacture/delivery.

You will notice I just disclosed the VIN initially. I had intended to leave it at that, assuming the seller would take the hint and include the VIN in his advert.

His reaction prompted my response, that's the reaction of a seller who may not even disclose this history to the buyer at point of purchase.

Better the buyer is informed. One way or the other.

An accident that the airbag deployed isn't minor anymore and I think the chassis is also involved.

I was really tempted by the odometer reading but if I'm gonna invest about 6M in a car then it should be worth it.

Well, there's a very slim chance that the vehicle was repaired to standard. I'd encourage you to go along with a trained and trusted professional equipped with means to determine the status of the SRS module, and indeed the rest of the vehicle, with the history of the vehicle in mind.

Who knows, if it is determined to be properly repaired perhaps you could even bargain further with these photos as a chip.

Well I was going to ignore you but for the sake of Clarity

1.) if I didn’t give the VIN out, he can never get this info(I have chats to prove it)
2.) if I was hiding anything, I wouldn’t have given it out
3.) I am not a dealer, I buy cars for personal use n if I feel the need to sell them, I do.

4.) I will rather buy a Repo, flooded and maybe accidented(in that particular order) that’s my personal preference

I happen to be relocating so I want to dispose of them coz I can’t use them in the state I’m going to. Roads are terrible and don’t want mechanic wahala.

It's wrong, much like a lot you've done on this thread. In this instance because it comes from a place of ignorance and lack of information.

If your ignorance is circumstantial, I'd recommend you went through my posts to disabuse yourself of the notion that VIN for vehicles can only be obtained with your approval or you giving it out. Wrong.

If it's deliberate ignorance, well then good luck to you.

You're welcome to purchase and sell WHATEVER you wish, but you'd need to fully disclose its history.

You only tried to pull this stunt with the purchase photos because you thought you couldn't possibly be found out. Well you were very wrong.
