Truly buhari's story is an inspiration, going from being evicted to being president. Never give up, never surrender, no matter how long it takes keep fighting for what you believe in. That landlord must be thinking...I shoulda let him stay rent free man |
Being a First Lady in this country is not easy. The scrutiny, the insults, people need to chill! My advice to Aisha Buhari, be focused and develop a thick skin. It's not easy |
Seems this wristwatch issue has taken a life of its own. Left to me, the lady could have bought this with her own money or received it as a gift. As First Lady one can only imagine the number of people falling over themselves to present gifts. But I think the matter must be handled carefully, Buhari's selling point is as an incorruptible man of integrity who doesn't care for material things. That is why people are going to town with this issue, any other politician and no one would talk, we expect it from our leaders to be extravagant. I don't know how this issue should be handled, does the lady need to explain how she got the wristwatch (because really is it anybody's business) or just ignore it. Sometimes though it is better to nip things in the bud before they go out of hand. Being a public figure, especially being in a position of leadership you are called to account by the public, and things that would otherwise not be anybody's business were you a private citizen, become the public's business. I just hope this issue is handled appropriately. And I wish our president every success |
In the face of impossible odds, people who love their country can change it...our President, make us proud |
Congratulations to him |
excuses, refusing to take responsibility and passing the buck till the very end...thank God its over |
This is very educative, I never realized there was a difference between south south and the Niger delta |
Obama is a serving President. , Buhari is yet to be sworn in, so he isn't yet a President. However the British Prime Minister still received him in his residence for a private visit. That itself is something |
APC needs to get their act together, if this continues people will soon start getting disenchanted. We expect change not more of the same |
David Cameron looks so excited. Lol, we are gaining back our global respect |
Even if it is solar powered, is it affordable by majority of Nigerians given the state of the economy, if it is not then what is the point |
I'm impressed by his charity, rich people in this country need to learn from this. May his pocket never run dry |
Wow! Nigeria moving forward |
Hmmm...while we don't know if this is true or not, if true it is worrisome. this is the same woman who caused a lot of ill will for President Jonathan, who from most accounts is a good man who was led astray. Buhari needs to be careful, he has the good will of Nigerians because we respect him as a man of integrity, stay away from this woman and others of her ilk |
okonjo iweala is blameless on this one, she is the one who called attention to the waivers. for those of you saying the figure is fake, it is the minister of finance who wrote the letter and quoted the figure and she should know. she might be wrong in other instances but the minister in this case was trying to help the government recover lost revenue. the questions should be 1. where waivers granted? 2. who granted those waivers? 3. was due process followed? 4. who are the beneficiaries of those waivers and if, those waivers where improperly granted then why? this money belongs to Ngeria, with all the noise about the economy being in a sorry state, this should not be taken lightly |
fired for being corrupt? whatever you may say about Goodluck Jonathan, he has never fired anybody for being corrupt! |
[quote author=DanielPop post=33921693]“It appears the current Executive Secretary has taken the staff agitation for her removal to a desperate point of dragging the outgoing administration of President Goodluck Jonathan to the mud by whipping up sentiments in the media at this critical time when the Nation is undergoing transition. The leakage of the letter by the Minister of Finance sent directly to the Executive Secretary of NIPC on August 12, 2014 and which has been in her custody, smacks of an act of irresponsibility and immaturity,” Ahmad Ghondi, chairman of NIPC union, wrote in the petition. how are we sure the Ghondi man or some others didn't leak the letter so that they will set the president against her. I work in an office, staff have access to files, anyone can photocopy a letter. there are also acknowledgement copies of a letter. my point is, if the truth must come out then a proper investigation should be done. and is the issue of the waivers true? that is a huge amount of money that will go along way to solving some of our problems. |
too much info. we don't need to know, its nobody's business who or what she is. |
and there exits the man known as the game changer! |
Asari should calm down |
