Nigerians are eagerly waiting on the military
authorities to reveal the names of the
sponsors » of the dreaded Boko Haram » sect
after the Army authority claimed that it knows
those behind the insurgents.
The Theater Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole
based in Maiduguri, Borno State, Maj.-Gen.
Yushau Abubakar, while speaking to the News
Agency of Nigeria correspondents, said the Army
has a list of the sponsors of the sect and that it
is doing everything possible to end the
insurgency by the end of this year.
“Investigation on those that we suspect that are
either participating or hiding, fueling or conniving
with those that carried out those acts, is
ongoing. They will be exposed in due course,”
Abubakar assured.
He also pointed out that the recent spate of
bombings were aimed at diverting the attention
of the military from achieving its target in the
ongoing anti-terrorism war.
“I want to assure all that for every second that
passes, we get more committed to fighting the
insurgents; we cannot be deterred.
We are doing as much as we could to ensure
that we completely eradicate the insurgents as
quickly as possible because we are aware of the
time line within which to complete the task.
We searched the houses and certain items that
we recovered at the vicinity gave us some clues.
The citizens need to know that security is their
personal responsibility as individuals.
They must be able to secure themselves and
doing so means they need to be security
conscious.
Any suspicious movement within the environment
should be reported to security agents
immediately,” Abubakar advised.

He made crazy runs and had great chances that

struggling to revive his team. His touches, runs
and dribbling isn't at its best. He gave away the

His set piece gave Chelsea the lead the needed.
He have scored in his last three matches for

The striker took on Costa's place but couldn't
defend his wing. He was too reluctant and too
midfield dependent. He wasn't at his best.

Popular singer, Timaya whose real name
is Enetimi Alfred Odom has been

A graduate of the University of Lagos, Imonitie Ilen-Otuma, has been arrested by the police for allegedly raping a 27-year-old woman in the Lekki area of Lagos. We learnt that Imonitie, who studied Estate Management, had earlier been arrested in May for raping a colleague, and had been freed when the victim’s family agreed to withdraw the case. Our correspondent gathered that in the second incident, which occurred on Friday, July 10, the suspect allegedly took his victim, Precious (pseudonym), to a party in the Lekki area where he allegedly brutalised and raped her. It was gathered that Precious, on that day, had told her parents that she was going to see Imonitie, who was reportedly having a party. The duo were said to have gone to see a movie at the Adeniran Ogunsanya Mall, in the Surulere area. It was learnt that they later went to a party in the Lekki area, where Precious insisted on going home when it was around 12am, but the suspect allegedly refused.
