RomanceRe: Can You Truly Love Someone You Are Not Sexually Attracted To? by Cousin9999: 2:20am On Jun 15
You have to be attracted to them. They don't need to be your total fantasy, but you need to want them. It's one of those things where you should be able to overlook some things because other things are sexy about them.

But there's also the fact that some people have false/unhealthy ideas of what's sexy. There are people who will claim that they're not attracted to someone who is definitely attractive/sexy. Some people basically need therapy to correct their perspective on what's attractive.

I like sports as much as anyone, but it's just so crass to me that people are acting like they won the lotto, given everything going on in America.

Really, this is part of the problem. People are worshipping nonsense and kissing the asses of people causing these problems.
TV/MoviesRe: Micheal: My Honest Review Of The Michael Jackson Biopic Movie by Cousin9999: 1:55am On Jun 15
Why would you want to watch a film that glorifies a pedophile?

He abused likely hundreds of boys for decades.

He actually stated in an interview that he admired the fact that in India, parents allowed their 10 year old daughter to marry an adult.

And his family members are/were aware of it, and did nothing to stop it.

It's so incredibly sick and dumb that some people will excuse all manner of depravity in a person because of wealth, fame, or because they like some shitty song. What kind of mental illness is that?

AgricultureRe: How Much Would It Cost To Build A Mud Fence In Nigeria? by Cousin9999: 9:23pm On Jun 12
More Google info (don't know if it's accurate):

A standard, sun-dried clay mud brick typically costs ₦150 to ₦200 when purchased in bulk directly from local artisans in the Epe and Ikorodu areas of Lagos. The exact cost of your bricks in Epe will depend on a few specific variables:

1. Type of Clay Brick

Sun-Dried Mud Bricks (Unfired): ₦150 - ₦200 per piece. Often used for low-cost fencing or single-story core walls.

Fired Red Clay Bricks (Standard Common): ₦250 - ₦400 per piece. These are baked for durability and weather resistance.

Stabilized Interlocking Earth Bricks (CESBs): ₦350 - ₦450 per piece. These are mixed with a small amount of cement and pressed, offering superior strength.

2. Sourcing Options

On-Site Molding (Cheapest): Since Epe has abundant clay deposits, many builders hire local molders to produce them on-site. The cost is highly dependent on the current market price for raw materials and the molder's labor rate.

Local Suppliers: Purchasing from nearby brickmakers (especially in surrounding areas like Ikorodu) will cost around ₦150 - ₦200 per brick, but will incur transportation costs to your site in Epe.
AgricultureRe: How Much Would It Cost To Build A Mud Fence In Nigeria? by Cousin9999:
More from Google (no idea if it's accurate):

To enclose a 1-hectare farmland with a 6-foot-tall fence, you will need approximately 27,000 to 33,000 clay bricks, depending on the wall's thickness (single or double wythe). This assumes a square 1-hectare lot with a total perimeter of about 400 meters (1,312 feet).

AgricultureRe: Why Do Some People Think Farming Is For Poor People? — Yam-sack Farming by Cousin9999: 9:02pm On Jun 12
For millennia, farming has not been lucrative unless you had a bunch of land and underpaid people running it.

That's completely changed over the last decade or so due to technology and advancements in knowledge. But people don't know that yet. They'll figure it out though because farming is on the rise everywhere, including the US.

Eventually, farming will be seen more as the real business it is because of the tech, knowledge, certainty, and profits.

More rural footage:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGmzEzI7Q3c?si=9VP82VLVHKOv-RvF

It's hard to find real rural footage because so many people are cashing out on Hawaii. It's all promo for crap to sell oyinbos, or racist fantasies/propaganda about how regular working class Hawaiians are really poor.

It's important to mention that rural areas in Hawaii are very different from rural areas in just about any other part of the US. You would not want to work in the rural American south or Midwest. Rural Hawaii is practically a vacation compared to that. The biggest thing is you don't have to deal with rednecks in Hawaii. Rednecks aren't just unpleasant to be around, they want to harm black people.

Theft isn't acceptable, but poor, desperate people taking food can never be as bad as the politicians who put them in that position.

Instead of shaming what looks like elderly women, why not reach out and help people?

If you have a farm, give to those in need. If you can afford it, buy and hand out food.

Technology-facilitated abuse or tech abuse

Technology-facilitated abuse or ‘tech abuse’ is when someone uses technology to control, frighten or humiliate a person.

It can include abusive online communication. It can also include using technology to stalk someone and gather information about them. It is sometimes called ‘technology-facilitated abuse’.

Examples include:

-monitoring text messages, phone records, social media activity and internet search history
-preventing or forbidding a person from owning or having access to a phone or computer
-sending abusive messages through text, email, social media or other online platforms
-using technology to track a person’s movements without their permission
-using technology to gather personal information about someone without their permission
-accessing or ‘hacking’ a person’s online accounts without their permission
-impersonating a person online
-using technology to share personal and private images or videos without consent (see Image-based abuse below).

Stalking and harassment

Within domestic and family violence, stalking and harassment are behaviours that involve intense and unwanted monitoring of a person’s movements. It can occur during a relationship, or after separation.

Examples include:

-following and watching someone, for example watching them from a parked car
-using technology to monitor their movements; this is also called tech abuse
-sending unwanted gifts to a person’s home or workplace
-repeatedly making unwanted contact through phone calls, text messages, emails, social media and other messaging or chat apps
-turning up, uninvited, at the person’s home or workplace, or at social activities
-installing spyware on a person’s digital devices to get private information, or to secretly record or video them
using webcams and other forms of video surveillance without the person’s knowledge or consent.

Hawaiʻi Awarded $188.9 Million to Transform Rural Healthcare

Hawaiʻi has been awarded $188,892,440 through the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) as part of a $50 billion national investment to strengthen rural healthcare in all 50 states.

The award will support implementation of the Hawaiʻi Rural Health Transformation Plan, a five-year strategy to modernize healthcare delivery across Hawaiʻi’s rural and neighbor-island communities, where 95.1% of the state’s land area is rural and access to care is limited by geography, workforce shortages and infrastructure gaps. The $188,892,440 award covers federal fiscal year 2026 and represents the first year of funding, with additional annual awards expected through 2030.

The resulting plan centers on the following six coordinated initiatives:

• Rural Health Information Network (RHIN) — A statewide digital backbone linking rural hospitals, clinics and health centers through interoperable electronic health records, wireless networks and shared data hubs.

• Pili Ola Telehealth Network — A statewide telehealth system connecting rural communities to providers while expanding virtual care and telehealth training.

• Rural Infrastructure for Care Access (RICA) — Expansion of emergency medical services, mobile healthcare, community paramedicine and behavioral health capacity in rural areas.

HOME RUN (Hawai‘i Outreach for Medical Education in Rural Under-resourced Neighborhoods) — A workforce pipeline providing training, residencies, scholarships and mentoring to recruit and retain rural healthcare professionals.

• Rural Respite Network — Expansion of the medical respite model to rural communities to reduce avoidable hospitalizations among unhoused and post-acute patients.

• Rural Value-Based Innovation and AHEAD Readiness Fund — A competitive fund to help rural providers adopt innovative, value-based care models and prepare for CMS’ AHEAD payment system.

The Governor’s Office will coordinate with CMS, state departments, healthcare providers and community organizations to implement the plan’s transformational improvements in access, quality, workforce stability and system sustainability across rural Hawaiʻi.

The state will review approved uses of funds once released. More information on full program details and allowable uses of funds will be released soon.

People exaggerate how bad the rural areas are. There is poverty of course, but there are certainly worse places you can be. Here's one situation that's probably an extreme:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-csu4wGlzE?si=z4OKpra-mdvjoDHL

Mainly when people talk about the "poverty," they really are just describing a situation where people live in humble looking houses and neighborhoods, instead of flashier looking places. A basic apartment building or house isn't a "ghetto" or extreme poverty.

They also talk about the locals being aggressive, but that's also basically a lie. And when they are aggressive, it's mainly toward white people and disrespectful people. If you learn the culture, follow the rules, and show respect, you'll be okay. It's the same as anywhere except Hawaiians don't mind fistfighting when people act ignorant.

Unfortunately, groceries are expensive in Hawaii because most food is imported. You're gonna want to eat locally sourced food (like local beef, fish, yams, pineapple, mango, etc.) and straight from the farm, which should be easier in rural areas.

Polynesians (and the others) can definitely be racist, but it's just not a big factor for black people living in Hawaii for a short period. But I wouldn't bring your kids to Hawaii, and Hawaii is definitely not a place to settle. Complete 5 years and move on. That said, it's mainly white people that they don't like. I don't know if they still do it, but they have a day of the year called "k*ll haole day" when kids basically beat up white kids. White people also complain about experiencing racism.

If you're a single guy, especially with a good medical job, you should have no problem getting yourself a woman. There aren't many black people there, so you'll be dealing with Polynesian, Filipino, Japanese, white, and mixed. They don't have big booties. The Poly ones tend to be chubby or big. The others tend to be skinny. Most are brownskinned with wavy hair. If you're close to a military base, you can find a black partner there.

I've heard that the Polynesian men have issues with domestic violence, so I don't consider it wise for women to get with them. But there will certainly be opportunity for women who want to get with them. Most Hawaiian men are brownskinned with wavy hair. They tend to have a muscular build. And they're generally not short. Again, if you're close to a military base, you can find a black partner there.
EducationHawaii, US: Free Healthcare Education, 5 Year Rural Work Commitment by Cousin9999(op):
Please research the requirements for foreign students. This program is for doctors, nurses, health IT, and much more. Any US university.

Molokaʻi native Misty Kahale completed her first year of medical school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on Friday. By the time she graduates, she expects to have $300,000 in student debt.

With final exams behind her and a mountain of tuition bills ahead, she plans to apply for a breakthrough new Hawaiʻi grant program that would cover the rest of her medical school expenses — a prospect that she said would instantly diffuse her financial stress.

There’s a catch: Grant awardees must pledge to work full time in rural Hawaiʻi for five years after graduation, a bid to entice healthcare workers to root themselves in areas where physicians, nurses and other professionals are in short supply.

Encouraging doctors to take up practice in remote areas is challenging. But state leaders are pushing the effort forward, setting aside $28 million in federal funds for an ambitious medical school tuition payment program.

Attending medical school will be free starting in September for awardees of the Hawaiʻi Outreach for Medical Education in Rural Under-resourced Neighborhoods (HOME RUN) workforce pipeline program.

The perk, funded by a chunk of a $188.9 million federal grant meant to revolutionize rural healthcare in Hawaiʻi, is available to students pursuing any career in healthcare or health information technology. It will cover tuition and fees for healthcare training at a university of the student’s choice.
