Romance › Re: 6 Reasons Bald Men Are Better Boyfriends by cozy7(m): 11:21pm On Sep 27, 2014 |
adonbilivit: They say bald is beautiful. What they don’t say is that bald also makes for a pretty awesome boyfriend. So before you skip over bald profiles for a guy with a full head of hair, consider this:
1. They Don’t Take Up A Lot of Bathroom Space
Bald guys don’t need all kinds of fancy haircuts, gels, moose or even a comb. They barely need shampoo. That means they’ve got more money laying about to spend on you. And, more importantly, more space in the bathroom for your toiletries.
2. They’re Better In Bed, Seriously
According to a 2009 study, women on Internet dating sites were 5x more likely to choose guys with a full head of hair. That means bald guys have 5x less chance to hook up. I’m not a statistician but I can tell you that x plus y equals bald men really making it count when they do hook up. As a dear friend of mine said, “The best MouthAction I’ve ever received was from a bald guy. And I’ve had the ladies too so that’s impressive.”
3. They Are Way More Sensitive
Feeling fat? Ugly? Bloated? Your bald boyfriend can TOTALLY relate. He lost all his hair! So he knows a thing or two about feeling bad about yourself and bouncing back. No doubt he’ll be sympathetic to your complaints and be ready with compliments, kisses and a rom-com in the DVD player.
4. Men’s Hair is Overrated
Have you ever really fallen for a guy because of his hair? All you have to do is watch this season of “The Bachelor” to know that the hair does not the man make (yes, I’m talking about you, Ben). In fact, it can be downright distracting… not to mention disgusting. (Again, you, Ben.) Plus, a man who doesn’t have to worry about quaffing his hair can spend more time doting on you.
5. They’re Already Bald
Perhaps the best thing about a baldie: they’ve already gone through the super painful process of going bald. Which means a) you won’t find man-hairs all over the place and b) you’ll never have to wonder if your man will look hot bald. He already is! Win-Win!
6. Bald isn’t Just Beautiful, it’s Super Hot
Admit it ladies, if Ryan Gosling shaved his head you would be all up on that. A bald head is super sexy. Don’t believe me? Drool over these botties (that’s bald-hotties). tuface and lynxx are bald but they are the hottest celebs in Nigeria

Stelvin101: Came across this Article while checking my email and I believe it will be very useful to those of us who travel by air almost all the time
LONDON (AP) — Each day, 8.3 million people around the globe step aboard some 93,500 flights. They almost always land safely.
But in the rare chance of a crash, there are some things passengers can do to improve their odds of surviving. British Airways offers frequent fliers a half-day safety awareness course. Among the tips offered there:
— During the safety demonstration, count the number of rows to the nearest exit. Then count the number of rows to the second nearest exit, remembering that it might be behind you.
— Next, practice putting on and taking off your seatbelt to build muscle memory. Check where your life vest is and touch it.
— Learn the proper brace position: Bend forward as far as possible, keep your head down. Place your feet flat on the floor and slide them back. Your dominant hand goes on the back of your head. Protect that hand by placing the other hand over it. Do not interlock fingers. The goal is to ensure that the bones in the stronger hand aren't broken so you can eventually unbuckle the seatbelt.
—Red lights always signal an exit because the color cuts through smoke the best.
— Once an evacuation order is given, seconds count. Move quickly to the nearest exit and jump down a slide. If you hesitate, the flight attendants will push you out.
— Always inflate life vests outside the plane. They can limit mobility in a tight space. Or, if water fills the cabin, passengers with inflated vests can be pressed up against the ceiling, unable to swim down to the door.

DMilanista: Social media channels have overflowed this week with commentary on whether Apple‘s new iPhone 6 Plus bends under pressure, particularly in a pants pocket.
Turns out actual complaints to the company, at least so far, are much less prevalent.
“With normal use a bend in iPhone is extremely rare and through our first six days of sale, a total of nine customers have contacted Apple with a bent iPhone 6 Plus,” Trudy Muller, an Apple spokeswoman, said in a statement. “IPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus meet or exceed all of our high quality standards to endure everyday, real life use.”
The statement comes after some early adopters complained that the new iPhone 6 Plus, which is significantly larger than previous generations of the iPhone, was permanently bending from simply being carried in a pocket for long periods of time. After one new iPhone 6 Plus owner on Tuesday complained that his phone warped after sitting in his front pants pocket during a long drive, the story was quickly picked up by technology blogs and news outlets.
Lewis Hilsenteger, who runs Unbox Therapy, a YouTube channel dedicated to showcasing the latest tech hardware, filmed himself straining to bend an iPhone 6 Plus with his bare hands. The video has been viewed more than 25 million times in less than two days.
Apple performs “rigorous tests throughout the entire development cycle including three-point bending, pressure-point cycling, sit, torsion and user studies,” according to Ms. Muller. “IPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus meet or exceed all of our high quality standards to endure everyday, real life use.”
As Apple has grown bigger and more successful, it has also become a bigger target for criticism. The company says it sold more than 10 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones over the first three days of release, a new record for the company.
Some of the attention is self-inflicted, however. In 2010, early buyers of the iPhone 4 reported problems with the device’s cellular antenna, which caused dropped calls due to the design of the phone. An Apple executive responsible for the project left the company over the incident.
And this week, Apple released a software update to the iPhone that was supposed to fix some early bugs in an updated version of its mobile operating system, iOS 8. The update made some users’ phones unable to make or receive calls, and also rendered the touch identification technology software useless, according to reports. Apple quickly withdrew the software update, and has said it planned to release a new software patch in short order.

Politics › Re: Group Issues 7-day Ultimatum To Governor Fashola To Arrest, Prosecute T.B Joshua by cozy7(m): 9:02am On Sep 26, 2014 |
Chillext: The Vote for Service Initiative, a good governance and human rights advocacy group, has issued a seven-day ultimatum to Governor Babatunde Fashola to arrest and prosecute Temitope Joshua, popularly known as T.B Joshua, the founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations.
In a letter dated September 25 and addressed to the Lagos State governor, the group also asked the state government to make public the outcome of its investigation into the cause of the collapsed building.
The group also accused the state government of delaying investigations into the collapsed building based on “the mantra of ‘Touch not my Anointed.’”
“We are Vote for Service Initiative. We like to remind your good office that, it was in this state your attorney general and commissioner for justice prosecuted and convicted Rev. King to death by hanging for (killing) one of his devotees with ignited fire.
“It is also the same attorney general office that prosecuted recently Mr. Arowolo to death by hanging for killing his wife with knife and cudgel, how much more the man that (killed) over 115 souls through criminal negligence and brazen impunity,” the group said.
The letter’s four-point demand also called on Mr. Fashola to issue a public apology to the people of Lagos State for the late implementation of Section 74 of the Physical Planning Law of Lagos State, as well as compensate the victims affected by the incident.
“Failure to which we will be left with no other option than to approach the competent court of jurisdiction for an order of mandamus for your good office to implement the law you signed in 2010 without delay,” the letter added.
A five-storey building inside the church’s premises in Ikotun, Lagos, collapsed on September 12 as three additional floors were being added to the original two-storey structure.
Eight-six dead bodies were recovered from the rubble and 131 rescued, according to the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA.
On Monday, Jeff Radebe, a South African minister, said that 115 people, including 84 South Africans, died in the incident.
Both the Lagos State government and the Nigerian Institute of Building have stated that the church did not get an approval before embarking on fresh construction on the collapsed building.
However, earlier this week, the Lagos State government announced it had suspended investigation into the cause of the building collapse.
Lateef Ibirogba, the state Commissioner for Information, said the outcome of their investigation would be withheld pending the outcome of another committee set up by the federal government.
In their letter, the group described the situation as “laughable,” adding that the Lagos State Law on Regional and Physical Planning and Urban Development 2010 as amended had already spelt out government action after a building collapse.
The section, according to Mr. Ilori, stated that “any collapsed building in the state due to the negligence of owner or developer, such land shall be confiscated by that state through the ministry in charge.”
“In view of the above quoted relevant portion of the law, an attendant fact that the said collapsed building was due to the criminal negligence of the owner/church in charge as represented by the leader Prophet T.B Joshua or his representatives…
“Having clarified from all other relevant agents of the ministry of physical planning like LASBCA, surveyor institutes and others that no record related to approval or otherwise of the collapsed building, it is incumbent on your good office or/and your approved ministry to have implemented the relevant section of the law as stated above,” the letter said.

abu12: http://thenationonlineng.net/new/fed-govt-to-rehabilitate-surrendered-boko-haram-members/
The Federal Government has said it will soon begin the process of rehabilitating and re-radicalising Boko Haram members, who have surrendered their arms and weapons in the last one week.
Coordinator of the National Information Centre Mr. Mike Omeri, who briefed reporters in Abuja yesterday, said religious leaders, the school system as well as residents of the area where the surrendered insurgents were being detained, would assist in the rehabilitation.
The military said 135 Boko Haram members surrendered their weapons in Biu, Borno State, on Tuesday, while 133 others surrendered elsewhere in the Northeast. Omeri added that any member of the sect apprehended without surrendering his weapons and arms would be brought to justice. He said the armed forces on ground in the Northeast and most especially in the troubled zone had discovered a winning strategy and would not rest until peace and security were restored.
Omeri urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their support to ensure that terrorism ended. He said: “Efforts are ongoing to rehabilitate and re-radicalise the Boko Haram members, who have surrendered their arms in the last one week. Religious leaders, indigenes and the school system will be involved in the rehabilitation.
“The Federal Government has a zero tolerance for terrorism. The armed forces will remain strong, undaunted and motivated in the performance of their duties. “Nigerians are advised to support the fight, it will not last forever and I believe it will soon end.”
On the abducted Chibok girl, Omeri said the Federal Government was working towards ensuring the eventual release and rescue of the girls. “It is a global challenge, which Nigeria will soon overcome. The Federal Government is taking measures to rescue them,” he said.
On the issue of one of the abducted girls, who escaped from the Boko Haram custody, police spokesman Emmanuel Ojukwu said on September 24 about 5pm, a girl was seen at Mararaba, Mubi in Adamawa State wandering. He said she was picked up and upon interrogation, it was discovered that she was one of the abducted Chibok girls, who escaped. “She is undergoing medical treatment after which she will re-unite with her family,” Ojukwu added THIS OUR GOVT DON START AGAIN. |
