Nigeria is one of the most diverse countries on earth not only in Africa. Which west African country as diverse like Nigeria?

Ghana: Akan makes up over 60% of the country with the closet ethnic group coming at 16%. So there is an overwelmly single majority.

Most of these African countries have a relatively small population and a single majority with relatively religious homogeneity. Nigeria is a mismatch it is just like having German, English and French in the same country, it will never work.

The problem is in ideology, the way an Hausa-Fulani man wants to live is different from the way a Yoruba man or an Igbo wants to live. We are too different to coexist in peace in one country. The problem is not the oil per se but the ideology and general way of life.

We can't build a country when we all can't even agree on what we want, how we want to coexist in peace, how we should tolerate one another, how we should value education etc. If we can't agree on all these how do we build a country?

firstly Akan is an ethnic group with 49% population of Ghana not 60% and Ghana has five major ethnic groups with over 100 other ethnic groups with over 100 languages.Even among the Akans,they're divided into Ashanti Tribe and Kingdom, Fantes,Akyeam State,Brong Ahafo states and over 30 sub Akan groups whom are all independent from the other.

Ghana has never experienced any civil war since independent in 1957 not because we are very low population. Rwanda had just 2 major tribes whom even shared similar culture and their population were less than 10 million compared to Ghana with over 30 million people buh they experienced a civil war and a genocide.

Same for Liberia and Sierra Leone with a population of less than 7 million each buh series of civil wars
.Cote d'Ivoire has majority of their population as Akans same as Ghana with over 45% buh they experienced several years of tribal and civil wars.Yemen and co have less population but experience highly instabilities.

Nigeria is already doomed with your recent civil war leading to over 3 million deaths and currently high tensions, conflict and killing in your states.Nigeria is sitting on a time bomb.

India and over 10 countries have more population than Nigeria buh they're far peaceful and stable.Nigeria have just 3 main ethnic groups who are over 90% of Nigerian population buy the tensions are extreme.So war is not about population or too much diversity but national love and patriotism.

In 2015, one of the most recent years for which data is available, Ghana, with 1.73 million people, accounted for the highest number of applicants for the US diversity visa program also known as “green card lottery”. Those applications would account for 7% of the country’s 25 million population.

As the US continues to tighten its immigration policies, its immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) officials have been handed more powers to arrest and deport immigrants following the signing of two executive orders by president Donald Trump.

But ICE’s operation still require countries of origin of deportees to provide travel documents to facilitate their removal. When those documents are not provided, ICE faces the possibility of releasing the immigrants as the US constitution does not permit indefinite detention of prospective deportees.

For its part, Ghana’s US embassy has previously noted that the US was not providing it with enough paperwork and following due process to show that the intended deportees were indeed Ghanaian. In an interview with Ghanaian media during the United Nations General Assembly in September, Baffour Adjei Bawuah, Ghana’s ambassador to the US said the embassy had “difficulty just endorsing, as it were, a documentation when the embassy wouldn’t even have a basic information about the people who are being deported.” As such, “to just be given names and asking for proper documentation for them to be deported was a bit tough for any embassy,” he added.


Trump’s homeland security department has been attempting to match the president’s aggressive migrant rhetoric with policy tweaks that could help accelerate the expulsion of illegal migrants while also restricting entry of new ones. In 2017, ICE removed more African migrants than any other group, even as overall removals fell.


It’s not the first time the US has issued similar visa restrictions on African countries. In 2017, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Eritrea were all issued visa restrictions for failing to comply with removal orders for nationals. The restrictions ranged from tourist, business, exchange and student visas for government officials and their families. Eritrea was the worst hit though as all its nationals were disallowed from applying tourist B visas.

Compilers of the index, Transparency International, is a non-governmental organisation based in Germany, and it defines corruption as the misuse of public power for private benefit.

The CPI ranks 180 countries and territories by their perceived levels of public sector corruption according to experts and businesspeople, uses a scale of 0 to 100, where 0 is highly corrupt and 100 is very clean. 

In the 2018 ranking, more than two-thirds of countries scored below 50, with an average score of just 43 and also reveals that many countries are failing to significantly control corruption, a situation TI said was contributing to a crisis in democracy around the world.

Ghana’s score in the 2018 ranking improved by one point from its 2017 score of 40.

“This score is a positive departure from the continuous drop the country has been experiencing since the year 2015,” a release by the GII stated.
