That is unsustainable in my opinion.

Let ijaws in delta and Bayelsa drink their oil.............. then the two states will no longer receive 13% until the governors and communities find solution. ObiOmaMu: Embattled former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode's fiancee Precious Chikwendu turned a year older today. Unfortunately, she doesn't have her man by her side to celebrate it as usual.
Fani-Kayode, who was the spokesman for the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation was arrested on May 9, 2016 for allegedly receiving N840m during the build-up to the 2015 presidential election. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission last week obtained a fresh remand order from a Lagos Magistrate’s Court to hold the ex-minister for another 21 days.
All of this though is not pulling Precious down though as she just shared this photo above to celebrate her big day saying:
I just want to thank you for your love and many blessings Jesus . I can't complain, can't be mad, can't be broken and will never feel pain cos being made from your image and likeness I am Awesome . My days are blessed and already written, my Joy and expectations will never be cut off, I shall fulfil my destiny. #HappyBirthdaySnowwhite

gateleo: The House of Representatives Committee on Federal Road Safety Commission has endorsed the move by the Federal Road Safety Corps to introduce speed limiting devices on vehicles in the country as part of measures to curb road crashes.
A report of the committee, which The PUNCH obtained in Abuja on Monday, indicated that the FRSC acted within the powers conferred on it by the FRSC Act, 2007, to “implement strategies to safeguard lives and property of road users.”
Part of the report read, “The FRSC was acting within its purview as empowered by the FRSC Establishment Act 2007, to implement strategies to safeguard lives and property of all road users, hence its proposal to introduce the speed-limiting device was in order.”
The speed limiters had generated controversies across the country soon after the FRSC made the idea public.
Some of those who opposed the speed limiters, including the House of Representatives, had held the view that the technology was outdated and could further expose motorists to danger rather than save their lives.
The House in particular had opposed the N36,000 fee it would cost each of the motorists to fit the device into each vehicle.
In February, lawmakers passed a resolution to investigate the plan of the FRSC after an All Progressives Congress legislator from Edo State, Mr. Philip Shaibu, raised the alarm that the device was “outdated” and had failed in some African countries, including Kenya.
Following the development, the House directed the FRSC to suspend the project, while it summoned the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive Officer of the FRSC, Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi, to appear before the Committee on FRSC for explanations.
Findings by The PUNCH on Monday showed that the committee, after seeking the views of many stakeholders, including the Nigerian Society of Engineers, National Union of Road Transport Workers, fleet operators and transport sector experts, resolved to endorse the speed limiters.
However, the committee recommended that the speed limiters should be used in addition to the deployment of more modern technologies like the ‘Spider Technology,’ as had been suggested by many of the stakeholders.
The committee also stated that the application of the speed limiters should start with commercial vehicles and other fleet operators “only.”

Ebal: The former president of Nigeria visited Newark to celebrate African culture and democracy. President Goodluck Jonathan took to the podium at Newark’s City Hall Municipal Council Chamber to praise African countries who’ve taken up a more democratic approach. “One man, one vote, one woman, one vote, one youth, one vote. I also advocate and I’m also know for preaching that my political ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian,” said Jonathan.
Newark Municipal Council President Mildred Crump presented Goodluck with a very special gift. “One of the things that I love to give to people, and because I know his house, you have a lovely coffee table, I am pleased and honored to present to you the book called Newark by John Cunningham.” Essex County College presented the former Nigerian president with a gift from one of its students. “I’m a Nigerian, so that was like a highlight of my day for me. It’s also great to be an international student and also be able to give a gift to the president of my country on behalf of the school that has accepted me to the United States.” Goodluck Jonathan lost his 2015 bid for re-election but was happy to see it come through a democratic process.

Crime › Re: Nigerian Jailed For 20 Years In Indonesia by crazymod: 2:49pm On May 23, 2016 |
ceo247frolic: A Nigerian national identified as Arinze Eneh has been sentenced to 20 years in jail and fined Rp1.2 billion for facilitating narcotic drug distribution.
"Arinze was proven to have conspired to commit an evil act by becoming a facilitator in the distribution of Category I narcotic drug," chief judge of the West Jakarta district court, Bambang Mursito, said while reading out the verdict on Wednesday, May 18.
In view of that, the panel of judges that had considered all the facts disclosed during the sessions, sentenced the 38-year-old to 20 years in jail and imposed a fine of Rp1.2 billion. If he fails to pay the fine, he will have to serve six months more in jail.
Upon hearing the verdict, the state prosecutor, Nugraha, said he was yet to make up his mind whether to accept it or not. The prosecutor had asked for a death sentence.
Through his lawyer, Arinze Petrus Eneh said he was satisfied with the judges decision but said he, too, has to decide whether to appeal.
"In principle, we are satisfied with the verdict. However, we would think and consider about appealing it," the lawyer, Dolfie Rompas, said.
Arinze alias Zona, along with Tuti Sudartika alias Dede Rosa and Rojali Pajar Saputra (the two were tried under different dossiers), were involved in a case of illegal possession of 6.3 kilograms of methamphetamine.
Arinze, who is currently being held at Salemba Penitentiary in Central Jakarta in a narcotic case still under judicial process, was ordered by a man named John (still at large) to pick up narcotic drug from China and bring it to Indonesia.
He then asked Tuti and Rojali, (earlier informed by David, at large) to carry out the job. The drug, weighing 6.3 kilograms, was smuggled in a thermos flask through a Covenant Logistic expedition in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, and then kept in a kiosk in Cibinong, Bogor, West Java.
The state prosecutor has charged all the suspects with violation of Law Number 35 of 2009 on narcotics because they attempted to commit an evil act of smuggling a narcotic substance by becoming facilitators in the distribution of drugs and therefore deserved a death penalty.
http://www.newshelm.com/2016/05/photos-nigerian-man-sentenced-to-20.html Indonesia should stop marginalizing Jews. Buhari is working with Indonesia to persecute Jews, since he came to power only Jews have been convicted and executed. |

olillywales: A retired army officer, Friday William, has reportedly hung himself to death in Calabar, Cross Rivers state. William, who hails from Mkpat Enin, Akwa Ibom State, was said to have allegedly tied a rope on a mango tree outside his apartment at 34, Edim Otop Street in the night of Tuesday while his family was asleep and hung himself, Vanguard gathered.
Although the reason for his act is yet to be ascertained, sources alleged that the man who fathered eight children, may have been mentally challenged.
According to a neighbour, Abasi Imoh, “The man had about three cars and got a lot of money from his retirement benefits two years ago and was living well which is the reason many people are surprised with his action.
“He was not poor because he had three cars and had built a house in his village and was generally doing well that is why we were surprised with his action.
“We woke up in the morning to behold the body dangling on the mango tree outside the compound and we do not know what was responsible for his action.
“Before hanging himself, the retired captain reportedly sent a text message to his son, who lives in Port Harcourt at about 10pm, to condole with him over his death and advised him to be strong to take care of his siblings, but the son did not see the message until he got a call the next morning that his father had committed suicide and I feel he had tied the rope ready for the act before he sent the text,” Abasi added.
Meanwhile, the remains of the retired captain of the Nigerian Army has been reportedly taken to his hometown.
