A final year student of Niger Delta University in Bayelsa state, Obele Wilson, was shot and killed by armed robbers during an attack on banks along the Sani Abacha Expressway, Yenagoa, the state capital yesterday June 28th.

The robbers somehow gained access into one of the banks were the deceased was doing a transaction, where he and other bank customers were ordered to bring out all their cash and other valuables...



An eye-witness claimed Wilson argued with the robbers after which he was shot at close range. He died before medical help could get to him. His remains has been deposited at the state owned morgue. May his soul rest in peace, amen!

Former National Security Adviser (NSA) Col. Mohammed Sambo Dasuki (rtd) is now set to storm the Supreme Court to press for his freedom denied him by the federal government after three different High Courts in Abuja had admitted him to bail in the criminal charges filed against him by the government.
The ex NSA had on Wednesday at the Court of Appeal in Abuja lost his bid to enforce his freedom after he had secured bails on all the charges against him.

Dasuki’s lawyer, Mr. Ahmed Raji, SAN confirmed that appeal papers have been put together to be filed at the Apex Court to challenge the judgement of the Court of Appeal and the High court that gave judgement to the government on the re-arrest after bail.

The SAN said that there are sufficient grounds for his client to approach the Supreme Court to seek the enforcement of his freedom from detention ordered by the federal government after he had been granted bail by three Judges who are prosecuting him on the charges.

Dasuki said that he was not afraid of trial in the charges against him as a former National Security Adviser, but added that the proper thing must be done by the government by respecting the bail granted him lawfully by courts.

He claimed that since government had approached the court in his matter, the same government must be fully ready to abide by the court decisions in the interest of justice and the rule of law.

The ex-NSA had been admitted to bail by three different High Courts in Abuja but he was re-arrested on December 29, 2015 by operatives of the Department of the State Security Service (DSS) on an alleged order of the federal government and had since been held incommunicado.

But the government in its defence in a motion on notice filed in court claimed that Dasuki being a Crown Prince of Sokoto Caliphate had large sympathizers across the length and breadth of the country who may jeopardize his trial if allowed on bail.

Dasuki had asked the High Court and the Court of Appeal to stop the federal government from further prosecuting the criminal charges until the bail granted him is obeyed and also pleaded that the courts should no longer grant indulgence to the federal government having been in contempt of the courts by the refusal to allow him freedom after the bail.

In a unanimous judgement of the full panel of the court delivered by Justice Abdul Aboki, the Appeal Court upheld the submission of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which put Dasuki on trial, that it was not in contempt of any court order because the re-arrest of the appellant (Dasuki) in December last year was not at its (EFCC) instance.

Justice Aboki said that from the submissions of the appellant counsel, Mr. Joseph Daudu (SAN) and the EFCC counsel, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), the bail condition granted Dasuki was perfected on December 29, last year and that a warrant of released to that effect was served on the Comptroller of Prisons in Kuje, upon which he was released.

On his re-arrest by the operatives of the Department of the State Security Service (DSS), the Appeal Court agreed with the Abuja High Court that the re-arrest cannot be turned to a disobedience to its order on bail because the court bail was not targeted at the DSS when it was granted.

The appellate court also said that the EFCC which put Dasuki on trial on criminal charges at the FCT High Court cannot be held responsible for the action of the DSS on the ground that the two agencies are different entities established by different Acts and vested with different powers.

Besides, the appeal court said there was no existing order against the re-arrest of Dasuki and that since there is no existing order, there cannot be a disobedience to a non-existing court order.

The court held that the appellant ought to have established the terms of court order on the bail clearly to indicate in clear terms, the agency that can be held for contempt if the order is violated.

In the appeal, the court said that form 48, which deals with contempt of court, was not served on either EFCC or DSS and as such, the two agencies cannot be held liable for the offense of contempt.

Justice Aboki, therefore, held that there was no violation of any court order either by DSS or EFCC in respect of the bail granted Dasuki on December 18, 2015 and his subsequent re-arrest on December 29, 2015 by DSS operatives, shortly after he perfected his bail condition and secured freedom.

However, the Appeal Court warned that court order must be obeyed and the issue of bail was a right to any person charged to court adding that any act of disobedience to court order by government is injurious to smooth running of the society and it is an invitation to anarchy.

Dasuki had approached the Court of Appeal praying it to set aside the ruling of an Abuja High Court which exonerated EFCC from his re-arrest shortly after he perfected his bail conditions.

He asked the appellate court to void the ruling of the High Court and set it aside on the ground that DSS and EFCC are both agents of the Federal Government which is the complainant in the charges against him at the High Court.

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, on Wednesday, said if Muslim students continue to wear hijab to public schools in Osun state, Christian pupils will equally not stop wearing church garments and other apparels.
This declaration was made known by the Vice Chairman, VC, of CAN in the state, Pastor Moses Ogundeji.

This is coming after the state governor, Rauf Aregbesola, restated that no student is allowed to put on unauthorized uniforms to school in the state, following the instruction of CAN in the state that students should go to school in church garments.

DAILY POST gathered that some students of Baptist High School, Iwo stormed the school, wearing different church garments on Wednesday in continuation of the Tuesday drama but were prevented from going inside.

In their response to the governor, CAN is insisting that the governor should be ready to expel all students in the state, if Christians and Muslim students cannot be treated alike.

While fielding questions from journalists at the venue of the prayer meeting the association called on the hijab controversy in Osogbo on Wednesday, the VC said, “If the governor is fighting for the right of the Muslims, we will also fight for the right of the Christians.

“He should be ready to expel those wearing hijab because hijab was never part of the school uniform,” Ogundeji added.

The Secretary of CAN, Apostle Joseph Olaide, also said while addressing the gathering, that Christian students cannot be stopped from wearing church garments, adding that CAN should be notified if security men arrested any of the pupils, saying the leadership would take up the case.

Meanwhile, CAN and Muslim leaders are to meet with the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi today to resolve the situation and avert any crisis that may erupt from the controversy.

STOP misleading people. It is only when you are given "to whom it may concern" " that all those you stated can be done. If you want the reprint of you certificate, it can be done even if the school have changed name.

My friend dont talk what you don't know.......... Pretend as if you lost your certificate and request for new one.............. it can never be exactly as the previous one. The reissued statement of result will be same as new one the school is using but the exam no. and exam year will not change. Date of issue and stamp with be of that day you collect it.
Especially in this case that WAEC declared that they dont have or keep old records.

SCHOOL CAN ONLY REISSUE STATEMENT OF RESULT AND DIRECT YOU TO WAEC HEAD QUARTERS FOR ANOTHER CERTIFICATE.

It's no more news that even before the last general election, President Buhari was face with an allegation that he don't have waec result. One will think that after the election, such news will naturally be sweep under the carpet the Nigeria way just like the result faulcification against "The highest landlord in Africa" die a natural death.
however, with a resent court ruling that seem not to favour the President camp in the case file against him compelling him to produce his WAEC result, the President have hire some 15 SANs including Femi Falana and some high ranking lawyers to help defend him in court.

The date and other features will reflect to the current date, current school name and current city name if changed.

There is no way reissued certificate can be backdated. But the exam no. and exam year will be unchanged.

I remember when my sister lost her certificate and requested for new
one from her old school.
The date of issue changed to the date she received new statement of result and the state changed to Delta state instead of Bendel state.

NIGERIA'S anti-graph commission,  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday invited the controversial National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Ali Modu Sheriff, to appear before it for interaction on the N450 million allocated to Borno State from the N23.29 billion campaign funds facilitated by ex-Minister of Petroleum Resources Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.


The EFCC is probing how Sheriff allegedly received about N40 million from the cash allocated to the state.

The N40 million was allegedly given to “Mohammed Kumalia for onward transmission to Sheriff.”

According to a source, the anti-graft commission asked Sheriff to report at its Maiduguri office today.

The source said: “A former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff, will come to the office tomorrow (today)for questioning as a result of his involvement in the Diezani fraud during the last general election.

“We are looking into how N40 million out of the N450million allocated to Borno State was allegedly given to Sheriff for security purpose.

“If Sheriff gets to our office, he will be able to confirm whether he received such amount. We have done our preliminary findings and isolated questions for Sheriff to answer.

“We have also extended an invitation to the former governor. We are hopeful that he will honour our invitation.”

The source added: “We grilled a former Minister of Power, Mohammed Wakil, who was the PDP campaign coordinator for Borno State.”

The source said during the EFCC’s intial investigation and grilling of Wakil on June 6, he admitted the receipt of the N450 million.

”I received a call from Mrs. Nenadi Usman, a former Minister of Finance, that N450 million was sent to Fidelity Bank and a template for how the disbursement of the funds will be conducted, “the EFCC quoted him as saying.

The source added: “Wakil added that he collected the money and shared it as follows: “Nicholas Msheliya, Peter Biye, Hon. Kudla Satumaria, Hon. Ibrahim Birma – all from southern Borno – received N112, 340,000. Hon. Kangar, through Dr. Kulima A.A., received N88, 620,000 and Mohammad Baba Kachalla (an engineer), Hon. Kaamuna Khadi, Hon. Zarma Mustapha and Hon. Abdulrahman Tarab received N140,860,000.

”Similarly, N40 million was allegedly given to Hon. Kumalia for onward transmission to Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff for security.”
