Politics › Re: Insult To Our Intelligence: Dr Duru Writes Rebuttal To Oby Ezekwesili’s Memo by CreativeOrbit: 11:18am On May 04, 2025 |
emkz: Let's look at the additional layers.
1. Neither Natasha, Oby, nor Abiola has concretely denied the claims of being offered money to disrupt the senate hearing into her sexual allegations.
2. In her rebuttal, Natasha danced around the bush and ended up trying to cast aspersions on Professor Mgbeke and promised to respond soon.
3. The additional denial from Natasha's camp is that Mgbeke claimed not to have known Akpabio but that there was a record of Akpabio's name on her call log. Didn't Natasha also deny knowing Mgbeke until Mgbeke provided proof that Natasha squealed like a parrot on colos during recorded phone conversations about how she planned with Oby to disrupt senate hearing into her accusations?
What are the substantive issues to be addressed?
1. Mgbeke needs to supply evidence of how much Oby and Abiola were paid. We need bank details. I am sure Natasha may have sent such a receipt to Mgbeke considering how she spoke recklessly in that phone conversation.
2. Akpabio needs to supply CCTV of everything that happened in his house on that night December 8th, 2023. Onyekachi Nwaebonyi said Natasha was not with them when Akpabio gave a tour of his mansion. We need other witnesses to corroborate Natasha's claim of being with Akpabio alone.
3. Natasha has taken everyone on a circus by going to Arise News, Channels, Sky News, BBC and DW television. Anytime she is asked for proof, she gets riled up. Anytime she is reminded of the exact misconduct that led to her suspension, she tries to diminish it and redirect the conversation to her sexual allegations. It seems she is more interested in the circus than closure.
4. Arise News needs to come out and let us know if they sold an award to Natasha, and how much was received.
5. Mgbeke said she'd have an exclusive interview with CNN. We are aware that these interviews are paid for and do not come cheap. Can Mgbeke inform us on who would pay for her appearance?
How is this connected to other issues?
Folks, there is a pattern here.
During presidential election petitions, those who could not prove how they won elections they lost started throwing dirt; like double nomination of someone, phantom drug dealing by the person who defeated them, and so on. When the case was dying, around 27th August 2023, one of those who lost came up with a rant on Twitter than the person who won could not have attended Chicago State University and did not graduate from high school.
Then began a voyage to obtain a deposition from Chicago State University which ended up nullifying their claims. They still brought it, thinking they had a smoking gun, and filed it wrongly without properly authenticating it with the District Court of Illinois. Justice Emmanuel Agim JSC told them that. The other justices told them they couldn't introduce evidence on appeal. This indicated they were clearly unaware of judicial processes. Is this not familiar with someone who wrongly filed sexual harassment petition in the senate?
The judges at the tribunal asked petitioners if they expected the judges to manufacture evidence for them. They never told the judges how many votes they won the election. They hurled dirt, hoping something would stick. Natasha, we cannot manufacture evidence for your case. If you cannot supply evidence, it means you lied. It means you are more interested in the drama of soiling the senate president and the senate to get what you want than proving your claims. Your election versus erection letter proved it.
Since the same pattern of headless fighting was deployed in the presidential elections campaigns and the tribunal, including those who prosecuted their petitions on social media and traditional media instead of the courts; could it be that some people wish to reap political capital from this mess?
What I think transpired between you and Mgbeke
You probably reached out to Mgbeke to use her to do part of your dirty job. She started by bashing Akpabio on your behalf. She then asked you for a contractual agreement but you declined in order not to implicate yourself. From the chats you deleted, it could have been implicating materials you do not want seen. What did you delete?
What I suspect happened is that Mgbeke earned your trust by bashing Akpabio initially. I suspect you paid her. After earning your trust, you started talking carelessly, and she recorded you incase she needed to have something on you. She probably asked for more money and you refused. So others may have reached out to her or she may have reached out to them to say she had information to bury you. This may have led to her live video.
What I see here is that Mgbeke is a smart businesswoman, PR consultant, and probably a smarter blackmailer. She clearly outwitted you because you have not controverted her evidence intelligently.
You had your field day on Arise, Sky News, BBC and DW News. Other foreign outlets like ABC News also reported your case. Some influencers also used their platforms to fight for you. All the while, without supplying evidence.
If Akpabio recruited Mgbeke, I cannot fault him or his team. You started this media fight, end it by supplying evidence or face a more intelligent Mgbeke who is flogging you at your game. franugo: Hello and happy Sunday landers.
Following the advice of several people on my previous thread, I went back to watch the full video of prof Mgbeke and while I still have have issues with her having SP's contact already saved and in her recent list when she claims not to know the man, I found a lot of points in her video which I originally didn't see as I didn't watch it in its entirety the first time.
I do not know Natasha's voice, neither do I know her phone number, so I cannot confidently state that the chats and VNs are from her but there is enough substance in Prof's video to throw significant doubt in Natasha's claims, especially as she has never provided any evidence for her allegations against SP.
One thing is sure tho, I'll definitely watch prof Mgbeke's CNN interview for more evidences that she wants to provide.
This case just confirms what I already know, politics and politicians are truly a piece of work.
I'll like to use this medium to caution all of us, the way we follow and support politicians has to be sensible, no one is above board, no one is perfect, not Tinubu and not Obi, certainly not Atiku. If there is a claim against your principal, it behooves on you, as a right thinking person, to review it, and when refuting it, do so with fact, with evidence, just like I did to Prof's video. I'll state here again that I do not support Natasha or SP, allegations of sexual misconduct is a serious issue which should not be taken lightly, on that, I and the prof are in agreement. Natasha should not have gone public with her claim if she wasn't willing to provide any evidence, the prof is very right on that, all she has ended up doing is polarizing the masses further. The way we're going in this country with this obi-atiku-tinubu, natasha-akpabio, diri-fubara-wike etc feuds, it'll get to a time where people on opposing sides will get violent, wife will divorce her husband because he's in opposition, just like what happens in US. There should always be room for peaceful dialogue even in the most extreme cases of opposition. You online and offline bottom of the ladder supporters, giving yourselves headaches to support these corrupt politicians need to have a rethink because at the end, obi-atiku-tinubu, diri-fubara-wike, natasha-akpabio are not enemies, simply colleagues and rivals and like normal colleagues, they can meet, laugh and gist like old friends while you stew in your hatred and foolishness.

We are still waiting for that your evidence Mrs Uduaghan. Senator Godswill Akpabio is a qualified and practicing lawyer prior to his political career, is well-versed in the legal mechanisms available for addressing defamation or false allegations. Rather than engaging in orchestrated social media campaigns, he should pursue redress through the judicial system. If Senator Akpabio genuinely believes he has been defamed, he is obliged to assemble pertinent evidence and supporter testimonies for adjudication in a court of competent jurisdiction. The ongoing social media efforts, purportedly supported by his associates, constitute an inadequate attempt to garner public sympathy and circumvent due process. The delay in initiating legal proceedings against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, contrasted with the expeditious response of the Falanas in a similar case, raises pertinent questions. Senator Akpabio must undertake resolute legal action, eschewing social media strategies, to resolve this matter appropriately within the judiciary. |

happiness32: Recall Senator Natasha initially denied knowledge of Dr Sandra Duru and the details she published. She had initially posted this below Fellow Nigerians,
I have carefully watched a livestream which was done by one Sandra C Duru on facebook, on May 1st, 2025. The content of the livestream including the voice effect credited to me are entirely untrue, and most manipulated to serve Sandra Duru’s ulterior motive of playing the script of Senator Godswill Akpabio (who called 47 minutes into her during her live stream… see attached).
To the best of my knowledge, those words used against Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Dr. Abiola, FIDA and good Nigerians as “Gullible and Hungry”, Yoruba Government etc are crazy falsehood and did not emanate from the natural cause of any contact involving me. It was from recent research that I also found out that the person who now represents herself as Sandra Duru is the same person who operated as Prof. Mgbeke on Facebook.

Politics › Akpabio Should Pursue Legal Redress, Not Social Media Campaigns by CreativeOrbit(op): 1:34pm On May 03, 2025 |
Senator Godswill Akpabio, being a trained and practicing lawyer before venturing into politics, is fully aware of the appropriate legal procedures to seek redress in matters of defamation or false allegations. Rather than resorting to orchestrated social media narratives, he should channel his grievances through the judicial system.
If he genuinely believes he has been wronged, Akpabio ought to gather all relevant evidence along with the testimonies of his supporters and present them before a competent court of law. The ongoing social media campaigns, allegedly sponsored by his allies, amount to nothing more than a weak attempt at public sympathy and a diversion from due process.
One must ask: why has it taken so long for Senator Akpabio to initiate legal action against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan if he is confident in his claims? A fitting comparison is the prompt response of the Falanas, who wasted no time in suing VDM when defamed.
It is time for Senator Akpabio to take decisive legal action rather than relying on social media operatives—presumably on his payroll—to wage a battle that belongs in courtrooms, not comment sections.

emkz: Natasha also claimed she did not know Mgbeke. She claimed her voice was AI generated.
You stated Akpabio's and Ned's number appeared prominently. Didn't Natasha's number also appear?
Natasha's credibility is also questionable.
She claimed she didn't know the woman, evidence has proved otherwise.
She lied to the interparliamentary union that she was suspended for making sexual harassment allegations against the number 3 man. She promoted the lie in Sky News, BBC and DW News. We all witnessed how she yelled at the senate leadership because her seat was changed, refused to stand to acknowledge the senate leadership as is customary. Why didn't she table the matter of sexual harassment while she was ranting? That matter was an afterthought which she made in a media house, apparently to dodge the slammer.
If she was right, why did she obtain a court order to stop the probe into her misconduct of ranting in the senate? If she was right, why has she not supplied evidence to the ethics committee? If she was right, why has she not taken Akpabio to court? If she was right, why did Oby Ezekwesili come to fight to tank the hearing into her sexual harassment claims?
There are two distinct cases: (1) Natasha's misconduct in the senate for which she is serving her suspension. Evidence was caught on camera. She has never denied behaving like an agbero as captured on camera. (2) Sexual harassment allegations. She and her gang relish in talking about it and have not provided a single shred of evidence. Whenever evidence is called for, fight starts. What exactly is Natasha hiding?
I think her game us up as is yours. She was reported to have said that Nigerians are G and H.
Are you G and H? Following the unsuccessful recall attempt, which reportedly cost over ₦5 billion, a new smear campaign has been initiated against Senator Natasha H. Akpoti. This latest effort appears to be another orchestrated attempt to tarnish her reputation and undermine her credibility. Just as previous endeavors to discredit Senator Akpoti have failed, this current smear campaign is destined to meet the same fate. Those behind these actions should recognize that such tactics, rooted in falsehoods and malicious intent, are unlikely to succeed against a figure who continues to demonstrate resilience and commitment to public service. |

emkz: Natasha was accused of saying she paid Obiageli Ezekwesili and the other woman who appeared in the ethics committee to disrupt proceedings in order for them not to come to a reasonable outcome. Reason Oby Ezekwesili fought Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi as Natasha had described him as having a short fuse.
She was also accused of paying Arise News for the award they gave her and Natasha had also asked Sandra Duru if she wanted such an award.
Natasha was further accused of saying she had no evidence to back up her claims.
She was also said to have admitted that the target was Tinubu, and that if she was able to get to Tinubu and help them win, she'd be made Kogi governor or minister of petroleum and natural resources.
She described Nigerians as "gullible and hungry", and said anyone who opposed the government of the day would get support.
So Natasha going to interparliamentary union, BBC News, Sky News and DW News was targeted at embarrassing Tinubu. Mind you, if she tried that during Obasanjo's time, she'd go on exile from there.
Sandra Duru supplied evidence, including Natasha's phone number and personal details of the person she dated, one Nsima in NDDC.
Natasha was said to have denied knowing the lady which prompted the lady to release call logs. Natasha needs to defend herself.
The lady in question would have another session today to reveal more. She described the accused as a serial blackmailer whose modus operandus is to pull men down. The rest of the world doesn't know ''Nigerian politicians''.
They know ordinary Nigerians like you that go on twitter to demean your country. So let me get this straight—you’re claiming that a corrupt political elite looting the nation’s future shouldn’t define Nigeria, but MY criticism of them does? What kind of warped logic is that? The world absolutely knows Nigerian politicians—from international fraud cases to luxury Dubai trips while hospitals crumble. Pretending otherwise is either ignorance or deliberate dishonesty. And no, the world doesn’t just know ‘ordinary Nigerians’—it knows the stereotype of a people struggling under the weight of failed leadership. If you’re more offended by citizens calling out thieves than the thieves themselves, then you’re part of the problem. Demeaning my country? No. Holding criminals accountable is patriotism. Defending failure under the guise of false unity is what truly demeans Nigeria. |

Corruption, fraud, and misconduct by public figures don't just undermine trust in governance—they actively damage Nigeria's image on the global stage.
If we're concerned about negative perceptions of the nation, shouldn’t we first address the root causes, including the unethical behavior of those in power? |

First, Atiku announced coalition without any member of the PDP present. He expects PDP members to join the train because he considers himself a bankable candidate. In his coalition announcement was Nasir El Rufai, Yunusa Tanko and Babachir Lawal.
Today, Yunusa Tanko is promoting registration and membership cards for the Obidient Movement. Peter Obi has said that he'd not join any coalition aimed at grabbing power.
Nasir El Rufai decamped to SDP and took only one comedian with him who has declared to run for chairmanship of AMAC council. He is still desperately courting politicians and posting photographs as seen here.
Very soon, expect a meeting with Osinbajo.
In all the conversations, the discussions have centered on: (1) Tinubu wants to silence dissenting voices --Professor Usman Yusuf, (2) Tinubu must step down because his government is insular and the north will make its position known in six months time --Dr Hakeem Baba Ahmed, (3) Tinubu's government has achieved nothing --Perennial Contestant Atiku Abubakar, (4) Tinubu is leading the most corrupt government in history --Nasir El Rufai...
We have heard all your complaints. Please tell us what exactly you'd do and convince us why we must trust you.
In 2023, Tinubu talked about Renewed Hope. Instead of carefully marketing his plans, if any, Atiku's gang was busy attacking Tinubu and throwing dirt, including Atiku's Chicago misadventure. Going to 2027, people appreciate the enormity of the challenges. If you cannot convince them how you'd make their lives better, you'd lose scandalously. Nigerians cannot hand over power to anyone for the sake of it.
These people have not learnt from 2023. They clearly may not learn into 2027. This coalition has achieved more substance than the empty noise of Tinubu’s failed government. While critics dismiss opposition efforts, the truth is this alliance has exposed Tinubu’s incompetence, united key leaders, and will give Nigerians a credible alternative. Meanwhile, Tinubu’s camp has nothing to show but excuses, corruption, and broken promises. The real "noise" is this administration’s pathetic attempt to distract from its own failures. Note: I have been Tinubu’s supporter right from the get-go. To be frank, he has failed the entire Nigeria. |

Okudiover: Senate President Akpabio's presence at the late Pope's burial in the Vatican raises eyebrows, given the corruption and sexual harassment allegations against him. His absence from visits to areas affected by violence in Nigeria also sparks concerns about his priorities. Some Nigerians question whether a leader facing such allegations should represent the country at high-profile international events. The contrast between his actions and the values of compassion and integrity upheld by the late Pope seems stark. I agree, Akpabio's attendance at the Pope's burial while dodging accountability for corruption and harassment allegations is troubling. His absence from violence-affected areas in Nigeria further questions his leadership priorities. Representing Nigeria internationally should reflect integrity, not controversy. |

grandstar: Akpabio is the first sexual Predator that has only accuser. No other woman has come out to accuse him.
Sexual predators always have more than one victim. Based on available information, the following women have publicly accused Godswill Akpabio, the Nigerian Senate President, of sexual harassment: 1. Joi Nunieh Details: In July 2020, Joi Nunieh, the former Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), accused Akpabio—then Minister of Niger Delta Affairs—of sexual harassment. She alleged that during a meeting at his guest house in Apo, Abuja, Akpabio made unsolicited advances, which she resisted by slapping him. Nunieh made these claims during an interview with Arise TV, stating that Akpabio’s actions were part of a broader pattern of misconduct. 2. Unnamed Ward Secretary Details: In 2017, when Akpabio was a senator, an X (formerly Twitter) post referenced an accusation of sexual harassment by an unnamed ward secretary in Uyo. However, no further details—such as the accuser’s identity or specific circumstances—are available from the provided sources. This claim appears less substantiated. Note: Verify these allegations before drawing conclusions. |
