franugo:Senator Godswill Akpabio is a duly qualified lawyer with extensive legal practice prior to his political tenure, possesses comprehensive knowledge of the judicial mechanisms requisite for addressing defamation or false allegations. It is imperative that he forgo orchestrated social media campaigns and pursue redress exclusively through the courts. Should Senator Akpabio assert a genuine grievance, he is obligated to meticulously compile all relevant evidence and supporter testimonies for submission to a court of competent jurisdiction. The purported social media maneuvers, evidently supported by his allies, represent a futile endeavor to solicit public sympathy and evade established legal protocols. The prolonged inaction in commencing legal proceedings against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, particularly when contrasted with the prompt litigation initiated by the Falanas in a comparable matter, demands scrutiny. Senator Akpabio must unequivocally undertake decisive legal action, renouncing reliance on social media tactics, to resolve this matter within the judicial framework. |

Rather than engaging in orchestrated social media campaigns, he should pursue redress through the judicial system. If Senator Akpabio genuinely believes he has been defamed, he is obliged to assemble pertinent evidence and supporter testimonies for adjudication in a court of competent jurisdiction. The ongoing social media efforts, purportedly supported by his associates, constitute an inadequate attempt to garner public sympathy and circumvent due process. The delay in initiating legal proceedings against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, contrasted with the expeditious response of the Falanas in a similar case, raises pertinent questions. Senator Akpabio must undertake resolute legal action, eschewing social media strategies, to resolve this matter appropriately within the judiciary. |

This was what Natasha Akpoti posted on her Facebook handle: Fellow Nigerians, I have carefully watched a livestream which was done by one Sandra C Duru on facebook, on May 1st, 2025. The content of the livestream including the voice effect credited to me are entirely untrue, and most manipulated to serve Sandra Duru’s ulterior motive of playing the script of Senator Godswill Akpabio (who called 47 minutes into her during her live stream… see attached). To the best of my knowledge, those words used against Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Dr. Abiola, FIDA and good Nigerians as “Gullible and Hungry”, Yoruba Government etc are crazy falsehood and did not emanate from the natural cause of any contact involving me. It was from recent research that I also found out that the person who now represents herself as Sandra Duru is the same person who operated as Prof. Mgbeke on Facebook. In the nearest of time, I will respond to the unfounded allegations made therein. Senator Godswill Akpabio, being a trained and practicing lawyer before venturing into politics, is fully aware of the appropriate legal procedures to seek redress in matters of defamation or false allegations. Rather than resorting to orchestrated social media narratives, he should channel his grievances through the judicial system. If he genuinely believes he has been wronged, Akpabio ought to gather all relevant evidence along with the testimonies of his supporters and present them before a competent court of law. The ongoing social media campaigns, allegedly sponsored by his allies, amount to nothing more than a weak attempt at public sympathy and a diversion from due process. One must ask: why has it taken so long for Senator Akpabio to initiate legal action against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan if he is confident in his claims? A fitting comparison is the prompt response of the Falanas, who wasted no time in suing VDM when defamed. It is time for Senator Akpabio to take decisive legal action rather than relying on social media operatives—presumably on his payroll—to wage a battle that belongs in courtrooms, not comment sections. @seun @Dominique |
emkz:Following the unsuccessful recall attempt, which reportedly cost over ₦5 billion, a new smear campaign has been initiated against Senator Natasha H. Akpoti. This latest effort appears to be another orchestrated attempt to tarnish her reputation and undermine her credibility. Just as previous endeavors to discredit Senator Akpoti have failed, this current smear campaign is destined to meet the same fate. Those behind these actions should recognize that such tactics, rooted in falsehoods and malicious intent, are unlikely to succeed against a figure who continues to demonstrate resilience and commitment to public service. |
frankson1:Your head is empty, still you won't humble yourself. Arrogance won't help you. |
The assertion that Natasha Akpoti provided financial compensation to Oby Ezekwesili constitutes sufficient evidence to conclude that the individual referred to as 'Professor Mgbeke' is acting as a paid agent. |
emkz:You guys always put politics ahead of even lives of citizens, which really makes one wonder at your collective levels of intelligence. It is imperative that Senator Akpabio addresses these allegations directly, providing a substantive defense rather than seeking refuge behind individuals with a documented history of blackmail. Transparency and accountability are essential in upholding public trust. |
LegendHero:Your consistent prioritization of political interests over the well-being of citizens raises serious concerns about your judgment and leadership. Senator Akpabio should present his own defense and refrain from relying on known blackmailers to shield himself from scrutiny. |
festacman:Professor Mgbeke previously asserted that she did not know Senator Godswill Akpabio. However, upon presenting her phone call logs as evidence, Senator Akpabio’s contact details appeared prominently, listed as the second entry. Additionally, Senator Ned Nwoko’s number appeared third in the sequence. This discrepancy raises serious questions about the credibility of her statement and suggests a deliberate attempt to mislead the public. |

President Tinubu appears to be exploiting the already burdened poor masses, only to channel resources to state governors who often misuse them. In response to growing criticism, he urges the public to hold their governors accountable. However, he is fully aware that many of these governors act with unchecked power, ruling their states like emperors. This deflection of responsibility fails to address systemic corruption and only deepens the suffering of the ordinary citizens. |
PressMyButton:You spew nonsense while hiding behind cowardly threats. Natasha Akpoti has the courage to demand justice—unlike you, who licks the boots of oppressors. Courts exist for evidence, not your ignorant rants. If you love ‘peace of mind’ so much, why not shut up and let the law decide? Pathetic. |
LegendHero:Your desperation stinks. Natasha Akpoti is exposing corruption, and that's what terrifies you. You call truth "blackmail" because you fear accountability. Dragging Oby Ezekwesili shows your ignorance—powerful women scare weak men like you. Suspend her for 2 years? Try 20. She’ll still rise. Heaven won’t fall, but your lies will. |
Enough of the desperate lies! Prof. Mgbeke’s circus of slander against Natasha Akpoti is nothing but a pathetic smear campaign by cowards threatened by a fearless, accomplished woman. This so-called “evidence” is a fabricated distraction—cheap drama staged by political puppets terrified of Natasha’s rising influence. You call it “truth,” but it reeks of jealousy, tribal politics, and propaganda. Natasha Akpoti is a beacon of justice, not the scapegoat for your insecurities. Your theatrics on Facebook won’t erase her achievements or fool the public. We see through your tactics, and we will not be silent. Nigerians are waking up, and no amount of cooked-up nonsense will tarnish her legacy. |
Bluntemperor:Your bitter rant reeks of envy and ignorance. Natasha Akpoti has done more for Kogi and Nigerian youths than your tired, recycled leaders ever dared to dream. Unlike your idols, she fights corruption and empowers the voiceless. She's not anyone’s puppet — she’s a force! If you're threatened by her brilliance, say so plainly. Kogi doesn't need your permission to have a bold, competent woman leader. Sit down — the era of failed godfatherism is over. Let progress speak! |
Dr. Olisa Agbakoba (SAN), your desperate attempts to silence Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan reek of cowardice and complicity. Akpabio’s defenders should stop hiding behind legal letters and address the allegations head-on. Natasha’s courage to speak out against harassment must be applauded, not attacked. The legal profession should uphold justice, not bully victims into silence. If Akpabio is innocent, let him face scrutiny—not demand retractions. Stand down, SAN—your intimidation tactics won’t work here! |
Rossikk:So let me get this straight—you’re claiming that a corrupt political elite looting the nation’s future shouldn’t define Nigeria, but MY criticism of them does? What kind of warped logic is that? The world absolutely knows Nigerian politicians—from international fraud cases to luxury Dubai trips while hospitals crumble. Pretending otherwise is either ignorance or deliberate dishonesty. And no, the world doesn’t just know ‘ordinary Nigerians’—it knows the stereotype of a people struggling under the weight of failed leadership. If you’re more offended by citizens calling out thieves than the thieves themselves, then you’re part of the problem. Demeaning my country? No. Holding criminals accountable is patriotism. Defending failure under the guise of false unity is what truly demeans Nigeria. |
When people accuse others of 'demarketing' Nigeria, shouldn't we also consider how the criminal actions of certain politicians harm the country's reputation? Corruption, fraud, and misconduct by public figures don't just undermine trust in governance—they actively damage Nigeria's image on the global stage. If we're concerned about negative perceptions of the nation, shouldn’t we first address the root causes, including the unethical behavior of those in power? |
emkz:This coalition has achieved more substance than the empty noise of Tinubu’s failed government. While critics dismiss opposition efforts, the truth is this alliance has exposed Tinubu’s incompetence, united key leaders, and will give Nigerians a credible alternative. Meanwhile, Tinubu’s camp has nothing to show but excuses, corruption, and broken promises. The real "noise" is this administration’s pathetic attempt to distract from its own failures. Note: I have been Tinubu’s supporter right from the get-go. To be frank, he has failed the entire Nigeria. |
Okudiover:I agree, Akpabio's attendance at the Pope's burial while dodging accountability for corruption and harassment allegations is troubling. His absence from violence-affected areas in Nigeria further questions his leadership priorities. Representing Nigeria internationally should reflect integrity, not controversy. |
grandstar:Based on available information, the following women have publicly accused Godswill Akpabio, the Nigerian Senate President, of sexual harassment: 1. Joi Nunieh Details: In July 2020, Joi Nunieh, the former Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), accused Akpabio—then Minister of Niger Delta Affairs—of sexual harassment. She alleged that during a meeting at his guest house in Apo, Abuja, Akpabio made unsolicited advances, which she resisted by slapping him. Nunieh made these claims during an interview with Arise TV, stating that Akpabio’s actions were part of a broader pattern of misconduct. 2. Unnamed Ward Secretary Details: In 2017, when Akpabio was a senator, an X (formerly Twitter) post referenced an accusation of sexual harassment by an unnamed ward secretary in Uyo. However, no further details—such as the accuser’s identity or specific circumstances—are available from the provided sources. This claim appears less substantiated. Note: Verify these allegations before drawing conclusions. |
PressMyButton:You liars should confine your lies to your fellow dumb and clueless villagers. Natasha revealed that as soon as the president signed the LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) agreement, Akpabio began protesting, demanding, 'How can this project be sited in the North Central?' That’s when he started bullying her—first by changing the committee she chaired, then by reassigning her seat—all in an effort to undermine her authority. |
emkz:The evil and vile you harbor in your heart towards Natasha Akpoti because of tribal sentiments will be your ultimate undoing. |
