Greetings to elders and knowledgeable folks in the house. Kindly assist me in this family matter.

There is this person I know who was impregnated by her boyfriend a few years back. She didn't abort the child.

Three years has gone by and yet the young man has refused to lift a finger in caring for the child, who is now in school.

The weight of catering for this child is really telling on the girl and her family.

So advise me. What legal steps can be taken? Can he be charged to court?

I live by God's grace. All I think I am today is totally because of the mercies of God. I have experienced hunger, poverty, penury infact I have even begged on this forum.

Life is a process. During these times I had to endure a lot of insults and shame just to reach destiny.
Every insult i got motivated me to be serious with life and God. Today am not where I want but am no more where I used to be.

My own oga fires competent people and hires incompetent people at will................ Infact this place i am is not where i can grow. it is not a place i want to work. I have been working in this company for about 8 years now and to be frank, I don't see any much improvement both financially and otherwise.

In addition to that, I noticed some degree of negligence and disregard for old staff, it seems the more years you spend in the company, the less value you accrue. However, I attribute that to the administrative incompetence of the Director who took over from the mum before she( the mum) finally joined her ancestors.

Recall that in April this year, she fired the General manager without any explanation to the rest of the staff, no staff meeting nor briefing. Shortly after that, she reshuffled the managerial team and employed 3 unknown persons who were never part of the company to take over the Management of the company, while she still remains the Director.

All these she did without any form of recourse to her old staff. I never bothered as an old staff until recently, when we started noticing some more incompetency in administration and management of the company. It rose to the extent that workers receive half salary sometimes without any briefing, allowances are not being paid and when they pay, they short pay us.

I couldn't hold it any longer as a man of justice and as such, I wrote to the Director after having meeting with the new GM. In my letter I expressed on behalf of other workers, the feelings of maltreatment and administrative Injustice, as most of them are afraid of opening up, to avoid being sacked.

Then after, the Director herself called for a general meeting and instead of to apologise for all these financial and managerial malfeaseances, she chose to tackle the old workers particularly myself, thinking that we were working against her. I still stood my ground on the path of Justice, finally she tried to pacify the workers by promising a salary increase, based on the number of years spent in the company. But then, I have been on her watchlist all through.

Any little mistake I make, she would capitalize on that to weigh me down. I now seek ur opinions, whether to continue in the company or resign. Good a thing, I have a business that even pay me better than the job.

Your opinions please.

In present economy of Nigeria, every income is valuable, no matter how little. Just avoid her, apologize if you can and continue to make your money in peace.

SHE IS NOT ENOUGH REASON TO EARN LESS!

Now, my nin is not within reach. My voters card is not yet out and because I no longer use the phone number via which I registered my nin, I can't get the new improved slip.

Can't I verify with a fake drivers license?

THE National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, yesterday, alerted Nigerians to be mindful of fake chloroquine phosphate 250mg tablets currently in circulation.
In a statement by the Director-General of the agency, Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, said NAFDAC was notified by the World Health Organisation, WHO, of the circulation of the tablets in Cameroon.
Adeyeye said: “The falsified chloroquine phosphate 250mg tablets were manufactured by Jiangsu pharmaceutical Inc, Astral pharmaceutical New Bhupalpura in China.
“The tablets, manufactured by these companies, have no Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient, API, and are in packs of 1000 tablets.
“The use of the falsified chloroquine phosphate 250mg tablets may result in treatment failure and could even cause death.
“The Astral pharmaceuticals, New Bhupalpura, China are labelled with fake NAFDAC registration No. 0587612 and advised the general public to be aware of this drug.
“All importers, wholesalers and retailers are hereby cautioned to desist from illegal importation, distribution and sale of falsified chloroquine phosphate 250mg tablets.
“NAFDAC has strengthened its surveillance in all ports of entry to prevent illegal importation of the falsified chloroquine phosphate 250mg tablets.
“The agency has also heightened surveillance in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, to prevent distribution and sale of this falsified drug.”
