CoCoLav I see you. Well, good people of this thread, I am Male o, not Female and my moniker though sounds feminine is actually latin for Justice. As regards my denied app, I am a lawyer and am going for Master of Laws at York Uni. Its a 1yr program and my tuition alone is 33k CAD. I was denied for insufficient funds only. Getting set to refire pretty soon. Wish me grace and favour! Cheers!

I'm sorry but you might be screwed for a bit. I'm not sure about the American system but the Canadians don't play with overstaying your visit even by 1 day. I've heard several stories of people getting banned for a couple of years for the same thing. The good news is that you are more than qualified academically.

My advice is to wait and then apply for Canadian study. Bring up the issue before they ask for it and provide as much evidence (and I mean anything you can think of) as you can to show that it was an honest mistake.
Thanks for your response.
Although, I know they cross check with US database but not sure if they do for all applicants.
Note: my passport is still as clean as though nothing happened. My visa wasn't cancelled. So, I'm a bit confused here, if I should come out straight and let them know, or I should just apply like nothing of such happened.

You can submit photocopies, just walk into the court and let them stamp it to certify it's a true copy.
Normally u sud need the originals to for them to certify, but forget it just explain yourself to some1 youllget the photocopies stamped.
Only the bank SOA and ur written letters are to be originals.
Anyother document u can't lay ur hand on the original cud be replaced by a certified true copy/photocpy
For those submitting and Applying online, how do the V.O.s verify the authenticity of these documents?
I'm yet to apply though so need to know which route is better.

Kindly presenr you SOA irrespective of the balance, atleast it will show something as been entering. You just need to explain yourself well in your SOPand prolly state t that you self sponsored yoursef for the MBA you got.
NB: Try and breakdown your questions so people dont feel reluctant to read. God bless
Ok, Thanks

I have got some years of work experience but had to spend cash doing my MBA at a Nigerian business school (quite expensive)which I earned in 2013. Out of Job for a year but just got a new job last month. I intend going for MAdmin in Leadership cos I'm vying for managerial/leadership positions. Now, I barely have cash in my account. So, my brother is sponsoring me.
Will I be required or expected to present my SOA as well since I have only worked for a month n still expecting my salary?

House, I have asked a few questions which are yet to be answered. Pls, help
Thanks

Hello people. Please I need to understand the difference between SOP( statement of purpose) and Letter of Application for Study Permit? Because all I see here is SOP.
Pls, throw more light.
I also wish I can get an experienced person to go through my letter of application for study permit.
Thanks

Yes, you will be sent a soft copy if you are admitted.
Thanks Newacca but I was given a conditional admission and was told the letter has been mailed out to me already. I just wanted to be sure they can forward the soft copy to me still so I can start my visa application.
When I get the soft copy, can I print it and use it for the application?

Hello all.
Please, I want to find out if after applying for a study permit and submitting my documents online, do I need to submit hard(paper)copies of those documents at the VAC?
Secondly, can I get my other brothers to submit sponsors letters as well although, only one is the major sponsor? Reason being that they work in very big and strong companies.
Thirdly, I intend to get my medical and police reports before applying. Is there a space for me to attach these documents online?

Please, I do need answers to these 3 questions to help me avoid mistakes.

Thanks
