Hello house. Pls i need help in the following: - is it advisable to do medicals just before submitting an application, or just after? - any disadvantage if medical is done before its requested for? - is a copy of the visa page required for online application? - i have one of my 3 bros as my sponsor(works in a major oil producing in Naija), but i intend to include the payslips n letters of co-sponsorship of the other two(one works in a machine manufacturing co and the other, a major oil servicing firm, both of them in the U.S.). Is this ok? Pls, don't mind me, I like stating it as it is so i get the right answer(s). Thanks |

mevisbleek: Thank you sir. I went to manitoba for 1 week and couldn't help but notice how dry that place is. To hustle 14k ain't easy at all but doable. Since money is kinda tight (not for so long no worry) I guess you should go for the cheaper tuition. Maybe when school close u fit come out west to do heavy hustle. Maybe work 14 hrs a day to get that money fast. I must confess it is possible to hustle real douche but possible when school close cos then u can pickup more hours. No worry my brother as I said just come first e go align no worry. It is well no worry I like d way u encourage people. It helps me too. Thanks. Godbless u. |

Hello all. I noticed people get denied based on personal asset n account balance. If one is being sponsored, why ask for his/her personal assets? This isn't in the list of requirements stated on cic website. I just don't get it. Does anyone know someone who was issued TRV without it? Also, is it of more advantage to pay part/whole of tuition before applying for permit? Experienced guys, ur answers pls. Thanks |

I don't know if I will be granted admission l. Cause my masters is not in line with my B.Sc. What university in Canada can accept me. I don't wanna write any Toefl or ielts. Thanks. Hello, I think u should apply/go for a pre-MBA in a Canadian school before fulltime MBA. I studied MCB too but got an MBA from a Nigerian Business sch, and all 7yrs work experience were majorly in the banking sector. I guess dt's d reason all schools i applied to for another Masters program, both in d US n Canada, offered me admission. |

richcasey: i dunno if i am right but one huge red flag i see in this application is, she started a new job in february , you applied in April . i believe VOs won't buy the study leave and promotion letter thing. you know most companies have a policy on the minimum time you have to work before you get a study leave let alone promotion on a PGD. ANYWAYS i no be the VO, this is my opinion just based on the things i have seen here since part 3 started. What if the family is owned by a parent or a sibling, and you have been offered a higher position(probably, a managerial position) on completion of your Masters degree? I know someone who was in this position, and after his study, he came back home to take over from his dad. Infact, this happens. One thing I see here, is that these VOs have been given full authority and so they seem to be feeling soooo in charge. And D reputation of our country and the people's credibility have been dented that's the reason the VOs can't just believe what ordinarily should be reasonable and could be true. God helps those of us at the receiving end. |

Na wa o! What letter? What if your company isn't that type who is willing to let u go on a study leave so early? The only company who would do that, is one owned by a friend or family. What if this is the kind of company one works in, and ofcourse are willing to give u the study leave? |

All of those things you mentioned are usually uploaded along with the letter of explanation documents..And proving home ties can be done in different ways, from SOP to landed documents to marriage to future employment..Again it is no fault of theirs that most can't seem to convince them enough. i am going for a 2-yrs master of admin in leadership. My siblings, parents and fiance live and work here. If this is all the ties I have here, what proof of ties to I need to present? Also, I'm wondering who does a Leadership course and intends to remain in Canada? I need answers please. Thanks |

modskiller: You need additional docs.. Brb please.
Did you submitted your own SOA and proof of what you've been doing after graduating with proof. Try to get a study leave from your current coy if possible. Brb please........ This thing about getting study leave needs some explanation. How can a company give u a study leave when you don't even have the study permit yet? A company gives study leave when you are ready to commence the leave. I think the right thing should be a letter of introduction from your company stating that you intend to go for your study... |

Emblem: Hi VO,
I just got back from Houston, Texas. My wife just had a baby there............i was able to visit some schools during my visit and so i am thinking of applying for an F-1 (Student)Visa. I heard some things which i will like to confirm from you all.
1. That my B1/B2 visa doesn't guarantee me an F-1 visa. 2. That my B1/B2 visa will be canceled even if i get denied of F-1 visa.
Lastly, will u suggest i just go back to US with my B1/B2 visa and change my status to F-1(Student) visa......... I know its very legal based on the info i got from USCIS( United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) website http://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/students-and-exchange-visitors/students-and-employment/special-instructions-b-1b-2-visitors-who-want-enroll-school .
Thank You. I have answered u already. It's legal but don't take that route especially that there are some immigration laws we don't know about. I shared my experience with u. |

tbaib: If you are not asked dont say. Is there anywhere on your form that asks if you have been banned from usa? If yes say the truth cause theyll know they track people especially immigrants.
Canada only cares about money and criminal records of foreign applicants
They also want proof that you are valuable in your country and not just going to come here and sit down after what u do to stay in canada after you get it is up to u. But the before part is more important
There is nothing prayer cant solve(if you are a christian or in any religion)
Also there is this province application category some are looking for immigrants. I think quebec (Please browse more on it for info) Thanks. That's some but i wish u were 100percent sure. I've been praying n i know it's well. Going to Saskatchewan. |

Hello VO. Please, I need your help in the following:
-is it possible for a VO to place a non-entry bar of 5(five) yrs (i thought it's a 3/10 bar rule) on a U.S. visitors visa because of an overstay of less than 180 days even when that over stay was based on a change of status which was applied for way before the expiration of an I-94? -is it possible to get a U.S. immigration to look into this? -is it also advisable to apply for a study permit in Canada following this, since both countries cross check each other's database?
Thanks a lot for your anticipated response. |

akanni: Crich, personally, i think you should get a lawyer to take up the ban issue and try to resolve it. Since you have evidence to support it, it's worth fighting because it will definitely affect your application to Canada negatively.Though like someone mentioned, presenting docs to support it when you apply for the Canada study visa, I am not positive it will make much impact, I would wonder why you did not clear the issue with US before now. This is my candid opinion, talk to an immigration lawyer and get their advice, its their job.
N.B Sorry, i just saw mevisbleek's comment after i sent mine, we are on the same page! Thanks Akanni. Will sure do that |

mevisbleek: My brother I'm so sorry hear this. Your situation is convoluted to say the least. I can only speak for Canada. Canada and usa works together, let me give u an example, I was speeding in new York because I was rushing to make it to Toronto to get ready for work the next day, I was stopped by the police for speeding and was given a ticket. When I got into toronto in a couple of days I got another ticket in the mail by toronto police asking me to pay an additional amount because I was caught speeding in yankee also my license was seized in Canada for 30 days due to that incidence. Back to your issue, if you over stayed your visa it will be extremely different for Canada to give you study visa cos they can easily pull up ur record from their elder brother (yankee). My advise would be to apply tho but with a strong support letter detailing why you offer stayed and also give reasons why that won't repeat itself when u get to canada. The Vo would believe that if you have done it before u can easily do it again. I would strongly advise that u hire a reputable immigration (I don't mean all those packaging agents in naija) lawyer maybe in yankee to assist u with this battle. It's not over my brother I've seen lawyer fight removal orders trust me. On the yankee side it's either u take the 5yr ban and move on or fight a lawyer to fight the battle for you. I swear to you I'm not trying to sell the services of a lawyer but the Vo's kinda respect a good lawyer. It is well my brother, no problem is worth killing Ur self over. You can pm me to talk further. I'm not an agent I'm just a dude that got study permit with the help of NL in 2009 and I like to share my personal experience and help others in return Okay, thanks a lot for your response. I'm a lady. I didnt over stay my visa(visa is still valid) but my 6months(i-94). Like i said, it wasn't my fault. I applied for d status change august 11, my i-94 to expire sept 30, got a response of denial nov 11. Left for nig. dec 19. The denial was majorly based on school start date. Try n read dt paragraph again. Thanks |

justicia: Well, this is what they called insufficient: I used 2 sponsors, Dad n Maternal Uncle. Dad wrote he was giving me 3.5M out of 3.8M in his SoA. Uncle wrote he was giving me 4M but he had 2.1M in his SoA, although I showed proof that he earns 11M/yr and he has property. Then my own SoA of 1.1M. So that's it. From what pple here have said, I think the V.O. felt 3.5M was too much for a retired man to give me out of 3.8M and for my Uncle's that his balance was lower than what he promised and what's gonna happen to his dependants. But they can't keep denying people based on this cos most graduate schools require you pay by credit hour or semester ie in bits. |
