Rukkyola: If he likes, when he leaves China, he should visit all the countries in the world rather than coming back home to sign the f*cking budget. I am freaking tired of this our so-called government.
Our leaders are aware of but ignore our feelings. Was this how they were treated during their time? I wonder if the think going to service is the only thing that worries us. Many of us are already disorganized.
Due to the indefinite time 4 our service, many of us are denied access to valuable job. Some of us that used to have, resigned already. Some working are likely to be displaced soon by new employees, because many firms want stable workers.
Boredom is one of the things I despise most. It can result to psychological, social and health problems. Many of the jobless ones among us battle with this all day long, especially those of us who do not have friends within the neighborhood.
As a way of suppressing this boredom, I am now a social network & movies addict. I wonder how this won't affect me in future. I haven't made any money and yet I am forced to squander the little I have on data subscription just to quench boredom.
NYSC has turned me into a house watch dog. Nothing that happens @ home passes me by without my acknowledgement. I have become a 'Miss know it all'. Series of questions are being posed to me by the busy ones who go out on daily basis, which I must provide answers to except I if was slumbering and didn't notice when the event took place. Imagine! Questions like: 1. Was there light at all today? 2.Even little children would ask me, "did anybody come to look 4 me at all today while I was away?" 3. Why is there no water in the house? 4. My younger sister would ask, " why did you finish up the food i left in the flask?" Even if I wasn't responsible for the allegation. And many more questions.
Within the last few months of my stay @ home, I have gained weight. Reason because I tend to eat too much. I visit the kitchen at least 5times in a day. At least by the time we youths become 'papa ajascos' @ home. The government would find something to do about us.
The law of diminishing marginal utility now applies to me as a human being. My value in the house tend to diminish as my family see more of me. I keep reminiscing doz times while I was an undergraduate. When I hardly visit home during school breaks. The best I had ever done is spend 2 weeks @ most at home per section except during ASUU imposed break. I used to be pampered whenever I showed up @ home. But now, the reverse is the case. Rukky has become an errand girl.
SOMEONE WITH CONNECTION TO HIS EXCELLENCY, PRESIDENT BUHARI SHOULD HELP ME FORWARD THE ABOVE TO HIM.
Make una help me beg am sey make he quick come back house com sign budget. April 27 must not fail oooo I always knew there are other parts of you that we're unfamiliar with. IMAGINE YOUR EXCELLENT ORGANISATION OF FACTS Kudos Dearie! With respect to your boredom leading to diminishing return ( funny you), I have some suggestions which might be helpful. If this interest you, just send me a PM as I am deciding to follow you now. #OneLove! |

I know this is part of his job description. But I believe in priorities. And I don't believe our international relations is not our biggest challenge. I mean lets not even start on fuel or electricity. There is so much to do and Im yet to see any work done. I know change is a gradual and tiresome process. But I cant see any foundation or ground work being laid.
Does anyone know or has anyone seen the monorail that Amaechi was constructing in Rivers but never really did that covers a total of about 3-5 stops that you can just walk? Waste of money and totally unnecessary. I just hope thats not the trend we will be seeing. Coz we have way too many things to fix and no time to waste on frivolity.
All the same Presido can hire me as one of his aids oh. So ill get that diplomatic passport and travel the world. #goodlife. #Nigeriamustbebetter The bolded last line above crowns it all. That is exactly the challenge we have been facing (and will continue to face) in this country. Before assumption of a leadership position or power, everyone seem to be a "good analyst" and "tend to know" what to do (or know what is required of the president to do) to salvage the crumbling nation and economy. But on assumption of office, all that becomes a nightmare to these people - providing genuine excuses why it is not within their powers and jurisdiction to deliver based on their promises yet taking themselves to newer financial grounds and heights.God will help us in this country! |

rosalieene: # JustThinkingOutLoud So, President Muhammadu Buhari is set to make a four-day visit to the Peoples' Republic of China from April 11th-15th to strengthen diplomatic relations between China and Nigeria (according to BellaNaija)... At this point in time, he hasn't signed the 2016 budget into law (most of us are aware of his reason(s)... Now tell me, won't NYSC (management) extend this date of Batch A streams before 20th of April, IF he refuses to sign on or before then... (I hope they don't extend it again buh the truth is crystal clear and it can't be hidden)... He's busy touring around the globe for the sake of strengthening diplomatic relationship(s) BTW Nigeria and other countries(I'm not saying this ain't important but he ought to understand what priority is and what is imperative)...Let me not go into the issues of FUEL and POWER... Cos they are nothing to write home about!!! With due respect to the President of the Republic of Nigeria: He is not fit to be the PETROLEUM MINISTER rather the MINISTER of TOURISM... I'll keep saying this: EXPECT NOTHING GOOD OR SUBSTANTIAL FROM A GOVT. THAT SPENDS ABOVE 50% OF HER ANNUAL BUDGET IN MAINTAINING GOVERNMENTAL OFFICES...!!! TO THOSE STILL WORKING, DON'T THINK OF RESIGNING FOR NOW, UNTIL YOU GET YOUR CALL UP LETTERS (to avoid stories that pricks the kidney)!!! WISH EVERYONE THE BEST WHILE WE AWAIT THE CALL UP LETTERS!!! #copied. The president's travelling may not pose a challenge on signing the budget. Even if he does not travel, its not a guaranttee that the budget will be signed soon. That is because reviewing the budget before signing it may not be his personal responsibility. THAT IS WHY THEY HAVE AIDS AND ASSISTANTS. With respect to the President's travels, in as much as the Nigerian budget and other related issues are of uttermost importance to Nigerians, there are other several international relations he is still responsible to sustain as the number 1 citizen of Nigeria. GEJ, Yar' Adua, OBJ, and others did even more during their tenure. I deeply appreciate the later part of your writing. Kudos! |

sapien: Hello, house. I'm a first timer here!
I got questions that need apt replies.
I graduated from Uniport last year, 2015 set.
Just late last week, Uniport student affairs department pasted names of eligible graduates for NYSC 2016 scheme for stream 2.
I would like to know if Batch A stream 2 registration has ended already or if the names released are those candidates eligible for Batch B later in September/October? Welcome to Dear. Registration for mobilization of Prospective Corp Members (PCM) suitable for Batch A 2016 (Stream I and Stream II) commenced and ended February 2016. Any other short-listing with respect to NYSC Mobilization should be in preparation for Batch B 2016. NYSC has not officially specified the date Batch B 2016 camping will commence. You will just have to keep your fingers crossed. I hope this Helps! |

Perfect maturity is when a person hurts you and you try to understand their situation and don't hurt them back I totally agree with you. But you see, experience has made me understand that every human is a learner of life and that make us prone to certain mistakes. But there are some individuals that because of their social standing, people cannot fault them for anything. Eventually, they keep on sailing life uninterruptedly with the false assumptions that their characters are flawless. Many of such people only have a change of perspective after a certain bitter experience. Its unfortunate for me that I had to become the conveyor of such an experience. I AM NOT VERY HAPPY THAT I HAD TO BE THE VESSEL TO CREATE SUCH EXPERIENCE. THAT WAS WHY I STARTED BY APOLOGISING INDIRECTLY. But its pertinent that someone learn something. Sometimes this lessons come the HARD WAY. Such is life. |

Yes and straight up without much addo, let's put up ourselves to the latest X-FACTOR challenge here in Golden City as some of Us have already started
Interestingly, the challenge is no big deal or new to all of us actually both from our point of view here in GOLDEN CITY and in the outside world around our walls which is why GRACELANDERS and others that have anything to do with NYSC too would be welcomed whole heartedly as Key Figures and participants around our dinning Table this time around
And here we go, although the next line below is to encourage us all in participating accordingly. Alright,
Note: ¤* It's not COMPULSORY that you must respond with the exact figure or degree of imput so that you won't be discouraged to say something or contribute your quota
¤* You can also choose to give your response part by part instead of typing out a whole at once because some persons have phobia for long commentary/Views/opinion or idea postage
Up next is the X-FACTOR challenge as our line of discuss and is presented as below
1. WHAT ARE THE 20 THINGS WE NEED TO KNOW AND/OR DO AS GRADUATES or BEFORE SERVICE ELAPSES TO YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND ADVICE 2. HELP MENTION 5 THINGS TO DO IN 5 DIFFERENT STATES THAT CAN IMPROVE ONE'S STANDARD OF LIVING AS A CORPS MEMBER
This 2nd one can be structured with respect to building a career path during service year, employability and job creation, relationships, etc
3. KINDLY WRITE ON THE CULTURAL SETTINGS OF YOUR PRESENT STATES OF RESIDENCE WITH RESPECT TO THE PREDOMINANT SOURCE OF INCOME, RECREATIONAL AVENUE AVAILABLE SUCH AS PARKS, TOURIST SITES, etc
In this line.. we are trying to reintroduce the talk about our present state of basement again So that we can refresh our minds about each state of the federation again
4. IF YOU ARE PRIVILEGED TO BE THE PRESIDENT FOR ONE WEEK, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO CHANGE ABOUT NIGERIA?
5. IF YOU ARE THE NYSC Director General for one year, WHAT CHANGES WOULD YOU ENVISAGE AND PROMOTE ABOUT THE SCHEME?
6. IF YOU ARE THE Minister for Education, WHAT CHANGES WOULD YOU EFFECT IN SALVAGING NIGERIA'S EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM?
In Trying to buttress our explanations, we should bear in mind that
The essence of the No.2 is to have the 37 states discussed out so that citizens can have an idea about the nature of the states that we have relative to NYSC which would help enhance preparation for entrepreneurship during service year.
While For No.3, 4 5 & 6, many Nigerians "KNOW" (in abstract) what they think is the responsibility of leaders as it relates to their present predicament, hence the importance of this discuss as our MENU for the time being.
