RomanceRe: I Asked Her, Can't Your Parent Provide Basic Needs? Are My Wrong? by Crusadee: 9:30am On Dec 05, 2021
yinkaOdutuyo:
Pls I need your advice on this.

Since have being dating my fiancee going to 3 years now, I have being doing almost all her parent responsibilities.

I was the one that sent her to school -ND1 and ND2, I paid all the semesters school fees.

I also paid her 2 years rent, when she was in the school. All her handouts and school bills were paid by me. Even till feeding.

Her parent are just to poor, that they can't even provide what they'll eat for themselves.

I did almost everything within my power to provide for her and help her parent atimes with some little I can afford.

Now she's done with her ND programme, am planing to enrol her for a professional Catering Job, which is amount to almost 250k.

At times she come to my place and spent like 2weeks, 3 weeks or even 1 week with me.

So of a recent her mom asked her to come home and spend some days with them.

She now called and ask me for feeding money, but I was angry and I asked her, Can't your parent provide basic needs? Like feeding, clothes etc. You'll be in my house I'll provide what you'll eat and when you're in your parent too, I'll still be the one to provide what you'll eat. Didn't your dad go out every morning to go and work?

I just told her, that if her parent can't provide basic needs, I don't think is proper.

And again she's the type that want to wear what other ladies are wearing and want to up to standard.

And I didn't send any money to her.

I just want to know if am wrong for asking her that. because her dad is alive and mom is healthy, but they're always broke and no money, that they hardly feed 3 square meals.
grin you must finish what you started ooo! Women are always like that, they see you a man like a staircase, any step they climb they don't want to come down, they will like to remain their and take another step of climbing the next... If you don't take precautions you will start feeding her whole family pay their house rent etc. You can imagine a girl like that but always want to maintain standard, wearing same clothes with her friends. This type of girl if you don't provide she will go out and do ashawo just to buy designer clothes. Be careful bro, I pray she doesn't break your heart but you are playing with fire.

CrimeEx Customs Officer 2 others Jailed for smuggling Riffles by Crusadee(op): 1:38am On Dec 05, 2021
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Friday sentenced a retired Customs officer, one Mahmud Hassan, and two others, to 16 years’ imprisonment for conspiracy and unlawful importation of 661 pump-action rifles.
They were also convicted for unlawful importation of prohibited firearms, forgery, uttering of forged documents and bribery.
Others convicted by the trial judge, Justice Ayokunle Faji, were Oskar Okafor, Donatus Achinulo and Mahmud’s company, Hassan Trades Limited. Achinulo had earlier been discharged and acquitted on the ground of no-case submission on February 7, 2020.
Justice Faji, who delivered the verdict after reading the judgement for five hours, however, acquitted and discharged Abdulahi Danjuma of all the charges.
The first prosecutor, Julius Ajakaye, and one of the defence counsels, Adamu Ibrahim, passed on while the trial lasted for about four years.
While delivering judgment in a charge brought against the convicts on count two of the offence of illegal importation of 661 pump-action rifles into the country, sentenced them to eight years imprisonment each on the said count.
On count one (conspiracy), Justice Faji found the first, second and third defendants guilty and also sentenced them to eight years’ imprisonment each.
The judge also ordered the forfeiture of the properties of the convicts to the Federal Government of Nigeria as provided for by the law under which they were charged, while also ordering that the company, Hassan Trading Limited, used as a vehicle to smuggle, be closed and its assets forfeited to the Federal Government.
Justice Faji, however, discharged and acquitted the fifth defendant.
He explained that the offence committed by the convicts touched on the security of the country, adding that though the relevant provisions of the law for the offence which they were charged and convicted, prescribed life imprisonment, but said the court, however, had discretion.
The trial judge said he would refrain from giving a maximum punishment but added that the convicts must be made an example to serve as deterrent to other would-be criminals.
The convicts had been arraigned before the court for allegedly importing 661 pump-action rifles into the country.
The convicts, who were arraigned before Justice Faji, were Mahmud Hassan, Oscar Okafor, Donatus Achinulo, and Salihu Danjuma, while the fifth defendant, Matthew Okoye, was said to be at large.
According to the prosecution, they also forged a bill of lading issued in Istanbul on January 9, 2017, falsely claiming that it was issued at Shanghai, China.
They were said to have attempted to evade the payment of customs duty by filling “steel door” as the content of the container instead of rifles.
The prosecution also alleged that the first convict, Hassan, corruptly gave N1m to government officials at the Apapa Port to prevent the search by Customs official.
But the accused had pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to them
The judge said the sentence shall run concurrently.

CrimeHow I Scammed One Scammer That Wanted To Scam My In-laws by Crusadee(op):
I once scammed the scammer!

There is this my female inlaw that is so gullible, she married a son of one former minister that is now broke and she's using her husband's surname, so the scammers thought there was still money in the family,

The scammer she never knew or meet before just called her and introduced himself as a PA of FCT Minister, they got talking, he told her everything àbout herself bla bla and everything is correct, he told her that he has a very good contract for her and her husband who's an architect, that the contract is worth N500million in FCDA, and they need an architect with a good name (as in son to a former minister) to execute the contract, the woman believed them ooo even the husband too...

They talk for almost 2 weeks... Made her to do photocopies, look for company send the company paper through mail...

They latter ask for N500k to settle somethings in FCDA so that the contract will be released.
They (my inlaw) were actually looking for the money oo....

That was when when they contacted me, I have to take hours talking to her and her husband to convince them that it's a scam.

So I said let's scam the scammer since he so much believe 500k is coming out of the deal.

I lead them on how to scam the scammer, I told them how to be taking recharge card from the mugu telling him that they will use the airtime to convince someone to give them the money and also to make some contacts to sell some property to raise the 500k.

We collected 4500 Mtn recharge card from the mugu 1500*3
When the time for sending the money came I sent to the mugu's phone fake alert of 500k the mugu was happy even went to the bank, when he discovered it's fake alert he switched off the number never to on it again.

Well for me I never got scammed because since when I was much younger I always believe there is no free lunch anywhere, so anything that is too good to be true is a scam....

Poverty is a bastard, you are poor and lack self worth. That is why you feel leeching on an already made man is key, this is one of the reasons men don't value women, women now are nw seen as an acquired sexual object. I feel bad when i hear ladies say my husband must be rich, imagine a lady who can't afford a comfortable lifestyle, looking for a rich man to leech on. Chai women dn suffer. I would prefer male kids only.
thank you for this comment, I wonder why a man will be thinking like he's thinking and writing! About 8yrs ago when I got married I my salary was barely 80k my wife's salary was even above mine, but we believed on each other with hard work and looking in to the future today I earn over N600k a month. For my wife I don't even know how much she earns today I just do my part as head of the house, she also contributes her own quata, but I know today I earn atlest times 3 of hers.... So he's telling me I shouldn't have gotten married then till now
FamilyRe: Nigerian Ladies Stop Marrying Men That Are Not Already Rich by Crusadee: 12:39pm On Dec 04, 2021
pmoye:
This is advice is really for Nigerian ladies. Please and please do not marry a man that is not rich. Your very life will depend on it. You heard me... How long you live as a woman may well depend on how rich your husband is. This may seem like an over-generalization, but a very needful one. Quite a troubling percentage of Nigerian men can not handle a woman who is more financially buoyant.

Ideally it shouldn't matter how much each person earns, because I believe that the husband and the wife should be one financially. That the home should be planned like a company with budgets, financial planning, sound auditing and all... But from the much we have seen around the average Nigerian family is far from this ideal. We often have what increasingly looks like a union that appears more to serve a cultural/societal expectation, a union that is sustained just so that the society can think you are happily married, while between the man and the wife it is more like between US and China, between Northern and Southern Nigeria, a perpetual cold war and bitter jostling for resource allocation and control.

I have seen women who have died because the husbands couldn't afford antenatal care and used ego-motivated argument to keep the women from accessing timely medical care... And of course, few years or even months after that those wicked men would later bring in other wives into the house.

The poorer the man, the more wicked, the more angry, and the more deadly he generally is in Nigeria. Do not let any man or any woman convince you to marry for love. There is no such thing as that, just a queer surge of hormones that makes you think you are in love. If you marry a poor man for love, hunger and suffering will soon reset your thinking, and by then most women feel too culturally compelled to remain with the toxin of a husband they have. Take a cue from evolutionary development in animal kingdom generally where females select the most suitable male for mating.

Do not simply believe in a man's future plans and dreams. If he doesn't have money now, he is not ready to be a husband. No matter how much you think you love him, treat him like the case of AS genotype (yours) marrying an SS genotype (his). And this is something I respect some Igbo men for. They will never think of marrying a woman unless they are economically ready.

If he is earning N30,000, or N40,000 or N90,000 per month he is not ready to marry. These are just examples from posts I have seen around here. Do not be fooled, the amount on the payslip is not always available for taking care of the home. But that's the talk for another day.

Some of us are probably never going to get married, I personally find it very scary to read about how men because of poverty increasingly turn against their wives in marriage... I may be too traditional though, because I do not fvcking care the money the wife is bringing into the house. Her role as a mother and a wife is already supremely more than you need to compensate for as a man. If you are a man, do not get close to a man when you are still poor. It is wickedness. It is dishonesty. It is crime against humanity. Do not sell her a future hope of becoming a pastor and other popular silliness.

Marrying a lady when you cannot completely and single-handedly take care of her is gender violence. Stop it.
you are talking bull shit, when I married almost 8yrs ago I was earning barely 84k, my wife's salary was even more than mine, we married looking in to the future with great hope and hard work, as I speak to you now I earn a above N600k a month. So you are telling me I shouldn't have married then till now. You're talking bullshit pls.
