Multiple award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has thrown a jab the way of Nigerian artiste Davido over the latter flaunting his new car online.

In a subtle attack, Shatta Wale accused Davido of flaunting his dad's wealth and making people on social media believe it was his own money.

The Taking Over hitmaker said unlike Davido, he (Shatta Wale) was known to have made his own money and was spending it on his own terms.

Shatta Wale took to his Instagram Stories and wrote: "I don't use my father's money for hype I use my own to do my own real sh*t...Real hustlers are real money makers"

He added: "We started from the bottom now we here!!! The ting e-coil" and added some laughing emojis to it.

Shatta Wale's recent post follows the Blow My Mind crooner's acquisition of a sleek 2021 Rolls Royce edition which adds up to his fleet of luxurious cars.

Davido, in a number of social media posts, flaunted the plush car he paid for on the spot and was seen taking it for a spin.

Efforts by Governor Godwin Obaseki to get precious Benin artefacts returned to the state after several decades of loosing them in the British expedition is finally materialising with the first set of art pieces to be returned by Germany next year.

Governor Obaseki, who has been at the forefront of the campaign long before he manned the helm of affairs in Edo State, received high ranking German officials on Wednesday in Benin city to finalise modalities for the return of the works.

The German delegation is billed to visit the palace of the Omo N'Oba N'Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin, on Thursday, to firm up cooperation with the palace.

Obaseki said the visit by the German delegation is a major milestone in realising the dream of restoring the heritage of Edo people and preserving their sense of identity and culture.

The governor also facilitated the meeting between the German officials and the Federal Government agencies in Abuja some few days ago, where the Minister of Culture and Information, Lai Mohammed, parleyed with the visiting party.

The German officials had in April, 2021 announced the country's resolve to lead the consortium of museums in Europe and across the world in the restitution programme, setting up machinery and modalities to return the works in their collection starting from 2022.

The Presidency last night debunked a story making the rounds that the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC declared a son-in-law to the President wanted over contract scam.

It was alleged that the ICPC accused three persons of misappropriating $65million dollars and had declared the trio wanted.

One of those allegedly declared wanted and a purported son-in-law of President Muhammadu Buhari is Gimba Yau Kumo.

Yau Kumo was said to have married the President’s second daughter Fatima Buhari in 2016.

But the Presidency said that though Gimba Yau Kumo at some point in time had been linked to the President’s family member in marriage, that relationship ended some years ago

The Presidency reaction was contained in a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu in Abuja.

The statement read, “A running story to the effect that the ICPC has declared “an in-law of the President” wanted in connection with fraud involving the large sum of money , USD65 million to be exact.
This should normally be an affirmation that our anti-corruption agencies/institutions are truly independent and allowed unfettered freedom by the President, which in fact is the case.

“ That a state institution can issue such is a measure of the administration’s commitment to accountability, equality and justice.

To set the records straight, the person declared wanted by the ICPC is not an in-law to President Buhari.

“ While at some point in time the said fugitive from justice had been linked to a family member in marriage, that relationship has ended some years ago. It is therefore unfortunate to bring the Presidents family into this case. It is in our view, an attempt to generate views and sell copies of sensational reporting.

The President’s position at all times is that the law be allowed to take its course. As is well known of him, President Muhammadu Buhari will not provide any cover for crime, no matter who is involved.”
