hello guys...,am glad to get a forum like dis....,,,i am an ND1 building tech student in yabatech and i just gained admission into unilag to study ''building''.Now,i dnt want to forfeit yabatech nd i also dnt want to defer my unilag admission. So,d question is; is it possible to run my ND2 and 100 level together?

Since it is the same Building tech, I dont see the need running both:

If you still want to continue with yabatech, I suggest u Get your HND in building, Then switch to QS in unilag.

HND in building and Bsc in QS: is realy a Good one.

Hi professionals in the house, is it advisable to go for a 5yr degree course (QS) at the age of 28. Also, will this course allow me to run my barbing business in zaria town.

Hai Ibrahim, Yes you can. Plan your schedule very well, taking up Quantity Surveying is a great idea. It pays if you realy acquire the skills.

Missmossy: Jeeeez! You both are married,ooops....his actions are so unreasonable. Birthdays are special days to be celebrated, whatever happened between you too ought not to affect whatsoever actions he takes.

Eeyah, that must have hurt, you both are married anyway,he should make it up to you the right waywink it is well.

It depends on the peculiarity of the case. If the storeys are identical you may do for the ground floor only and multiply (by 4) to cater for the rest.

If it is not identical, you may do it altogether(for amateur) but for clarity and accurate professional skill you should take it a floor after the other.

I hope this will help you.

Thanks,

I did it floor by floor... It was easier shaa.

Adedayo13: I am a graduate of Building from OAU Ile-ife, graduated over 2 years ago and a registered member of NIOB. Please i need a help for employment into construction firm.

My advice for you is to Look out for local contractors in your area and tell them what you can do, then start out as a General foreman, The look out for bigger contractors. And talk to Individuals so that you can be Getting your own contract.

Try and Make friends with proffesionals in the construction Industry especially Architects.... Frm there you can take up small jobs then Expand.

Also you can start looking out for Job adverts that requires Builders, If you are sure of your skill, then Apply for one. And keep applying till you see one.

Try and Gain experience as you start working, Get used to the processes, and try establishing yourself as a contractor.

GoodLuck
