After discovering oil reservoirs which is pretty easier, the difficult job is determining if it is commercially viable. That is what takes time to determine. And I believe that is why it took Ghana long time to begin full exploration. They already knew they had oil pretty quickly. It took them time to estimate how commercially viable. We don't even know if the north has oil, let alone how commercially viable. |
mrvitalis:Are you seriously kidding me? Oil is not something you just look for on a whim. There need to be concrete proof that there is presence of oil bearing reservoirs before full time exploration which is very very expensive. Ghana did not have to waste so much time before they struck oil. The moment they discovered presence of oil bearing reservoirs, which is a relatively basic exercise due to modern advances in tech, they struck oil. The north have been looking for oil since yar'adua. That is as long if not longer than Ghana has. |
GavelSlam:So granting approval to explore is the same as wasting billions and billions without result by this current FG? You are high. Which country in the world will not grant shell approval to explore for oil forever if the cost of the exploration is free? You dumbness is inborn. |
GavelSlam:Dry wells for how many years and how many billions wasted.? Which Oil major would waste as much funds as the FG have wasted in the north? You think the oil majors are stupid? You are itshekiri? lol. |
I won't be surprised if Nigerian consumers make these company Rich and massive. Patronize their own now, na lie. That is when you start hearing from various over sabi folks that there is a difference between assembling and manufacturing. This phone looks like an assembled Chinese phone, but trust Nigerians not to care as long as it is foreign imported. Yeye people. |
GavelSlam:I know you are Yoruba and you are programmed to reason abnormally, but try to disappoint us na every once in a while. How much oil have they discovered since expending billions and billions over the years? Even the 60s where oil detecting machines were not as sophisticated as they are now, the FG did not have to waste billions in fruitless ventures before striking oil. Btw, the International oil companies were financially responsible for the exploration , and not the FG. And they invested their money because they were certain. If there was any drop of oil in the north, Chevron, shell and Mobil would be leading the way, not the northern dominated, incompetent, NNPC. |
As much as I despise islam, we need to be more tolerant. If everybody adopts the attitude of letting sleeping dogs lie, Blacks would still be third class citizens in America. They protested with civil disobedience to force the change they need. |
Amarabae na fine lady na. Are guys here blind or just blinded by Jealousy? |
NonsoPlatinum:Holly molly. I just made a statement in cheek, and this guy turned it to a debate. |
okway2:Your interests does not always have to come first, sorry. I thought you guys claim to be sophisticated politicians. Which political party does the interests of a single group come first everytime? Are you smarter than all other groups? Time will tell if the game your leaders are playing is the right game. Remember APC is now your only hope. The moment buhari leaves in 2023, and northern politics reset itself in the north with the PDP regaining the strongholds it lost to the sai buhari madness, don't be surprised if your people return to the opposition. |
okway2:I am discussing the president, thank you. Now move along, son of Belial. |
mrvitalis:Banning imported rice that had already been banned since the GEJ tenure? So if you think banning is all Buhari needs to maintain to make thing work, I don't know how you think. Any gain in the Rice sector which I believe is highly exaggerated has absolute nothing to do with buhari. He has contributed absolutely nothing to proactively spur the industry. Everything positive that has been done in that sector, did not start with buhari. Jonathan, and to be specific Akinwunmi and Iweala deserves the credit. |
mrvitalis:Yes, all hail to Buhari, abi? The shitty president that has not implemented a single agricultural policy. |
I have no problem with that. They have never been loyal in their entire political history. And I am sure PDP was expecting that and must have accounted for it. My problem is that they expect the PDP to worship them at the expense of far loyal people. ![]() |
The champions league too should be very realistic for city. Who can actually beat them? I don't see any team in Europe out-matching them talent for talent. With a good tactician like Pep, they will wreck havoc in Europe this season. City are going to seriously raise the standard of the EPL. |
City has turned the premier league to its bitcch. If guradiola rotates well, I don't see them losing this season. I have never seen this level of dominance since the invincibles. Chelsea need to break the bank in summer transfer window. This deserve a serious response. |
More weapons for Fulani herdsmen to terrorize the people. Useless country governed by inebriated sub-humanoids. |
The questions were simple na. Rich over-pampered kids. ![]() |
I just checked out that youtube video of amaechi with dollars in his pocket and it is indeed dollars . The story of this guy dollarizing the APC primaries must be true. He has so much dollars that he came to a channels TV with dollars in his Jacket in a country that spends naira as its currency. na wa o. |
Berlyn1:Yet she is the biggest Nigeria has to offer. She has the most streamed youtube video of any african female artiste over 82 million in johnny alone. That is more than all the streams simi and niniola have gathered on youtube in their entire musical existence combined. Nobody knows simi or niniola beyond Nigeria. |
My God. Those are grand-mother type of slippers. But then , I wouldn't be surprised if she is still single. |
ollah1:You have evidence of this? Take him to court. I can also say Buhari is a thief which he most likely is. But I am sure you don't really care. |
What exactly is enticing about this islam sef? Absolutely nothing. Even the islamic countries, not matter how oil Rich, don't interest me. |
sod09:It is a political series. It is mostly talk. |
And when the US get una time and deploy warships to halt the activities of this pirates, Nigerians will start crying blue murder. A significant proportion of the Gulf of Guinea is international waters. If Nigeria does not get its acts in order, the US who is gradually pivoting to Africa will set up permanent Naval systems there so as to protect the shipments of oil. |
Glo should be given the advantage here. They are indigenous, and they have by far the cheapest network. 4 gig for 1000 naira. It doesn't get better than that. |
stevezuks:Do you know what CSR means? |
This Atiku has contributed more to Nigerians than Buhari ever did. |
mizzyapreel:How certain are you? From what I saw, it could be a coma or a permanent disability. But the president was visibly shaken though. |
RaeMystix:It is boring to me. I was expecting a genius doing genius things to bring health care delivery with the respect and admiration of all. Instead what we got is a freak who is not respected by even his own surgical attending. |
I believe in Love. But I don't believe that love is unconditional. People fall in love due to Prevailing conditions. Beauty, wealth, power, sex are conditions for Love. I have never seen love happen unconditionally. The mother's love as the exception. |
RoyalUc:You mean the same python that couldn't dance to the Fulani herdsmen.? I can see why you think oppressing unarmed people is bravery and strength. You are from the SW. Ironically, scums like you want to end Sars. |
