Latest decisions of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee

Following the recent meeting of the Disciplinary Committee, FIFA can today confirm the latest sanctions imposed for incidents that occurred during the preliminary competition for the FIFA World Cup™ as well as in international friendlies.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been sanctioned for fielding an ineligible player in the match between Algeria and Nigeria on 10 November 2017. The match is declared to be forfeited and awarded 3-0 in favour of Algeria, with the NFF also receiving a fine of CHF 6,000.


The sanction relates to the player Abdullahi Shehu failing to serve the automatic one-match suspension imposed on him as a result of receiving a caution in two separate matches of the same competition. This sanction bears no impact on the final result of the preliminary competition for the FIFA World Cup since Nigeria had already qualified (and Algeria eliminated) before the match took place.

Due to generational cowardice, the SE doesn't vote Against the ruling party at the Presidential elections. 2015 was a miscalculation because they thought Goodluck was going to win.

In 1999, they betrayed Ekwueme at the PDP primaries and voted Obasanjo at the elections.

In 2003, they betrayed Ojukwu who contested under APGA and voted for Obasanjo of PDP.

In 2007, they betrayed Orji Uzor Kalu of PPA and voted Yar'Adua of PDP.

In 2011, they voted Goodluck under PDP instead of Osita Okechukwu.

In 2015, they voted GEJ again, but he lost.

Opposition politics is new to the SE and they can NEVER survive it. One reason is that the SE hasn't had a central rallying force since the time of Ikemba. The present leaders are just fraudsters, thieves and crooks.

The SE votes are very inconsequential simply because they are predictable. Buy the leaders and the people vote as usual.

By 2019, Buhari would be reelected, you'll resume your noise for Biafra and the soldiers would continue to teach you home training.

The SS is multiple times more relevant than the SE. As at today in Nigeria, the SE has boxed itself into a political corner which has made the region politically unattractive.

This is the same political foolishness you advised Jonathan which made him lose. He ended up sleeping in the St weeks before the election after political neophytes had ruined him.

Wait till 2019 when you're left high and dry. That's when you'll see how politically worthless you people have become.

Orji Uzor had 3M votes and he's the Igbo man with the highest number of votes ever.

About the public perception: There is this ward close to my ward, there is one elderly man there, a political leader at grassroot level. His son decided to contest for the post of Councillor and many people (just like you) were of the opinion (your public perception) that the man shouldn't have allowed his son to contest for political post since the old is already a party leader. That, it would look like he used his position to work for his son.
I just looked at them and shook my head. I asked them to tell me what is wrong if the man decides to work for his son this time around? Is it a crime for family of a political leader to run for offices or aspire to lead an organisation?
