A dead clock can only be correct twice a day...So we have to give them northerners props, To them tis just a shot in the dark but it was a good shot because somehow,in some non deliberate manner they are correct..Do you know US Government are hostile to cryptocurrencies? Why Because it devalues their Dollar but because it is a free market democracy they just tolerate it but they don't keep it in reserve..
The US IS NOT hostile to crypto.
If they did, you would know.

There are no policies against crypto in america.
Yes, govts don't like crypto because of its potential to bypass the established govt regulations, but there is a difference between not liking and acting against.

Along with azikiwe.
Zik had the chance to force a northern secession but he turned it down.

It affects their constituents who deal forex. Typical north
You will be surprised that they may not even think that far.

They just feel that since the south are the biggest recipients and are supporting, then it must be bad for the north.

You cannot develop a country with that mentality.
Politics › Re: Crypto Ban: Northern Senators Support CBN, Southern Senators Oppose by CSTRR: 7:32pm On Feb 11, 2021
And finally, the real ideological division in Nigeria is not APC versus PDP or umbrella versus broom or Socialists versus capitalists.
It is north versus south.
A northern pdp man will not support progressive policies that are too fast for the north, neither will a northern APC man.

Anybody that thinks otherwise is just deceiving himself/herself.
The sooner we realise that, the better.

Whichever ideology wins, will determine the future of this country.
Politics › Re: Crypto Ban: Northern Senators Support CBN, Southern Senators Oppose by CSTRR: 7:28pm On Feb 11, 2021
The smart play would then be getting these southern senators to unite across party lines with a few of the middle belt progressive union and force progressive policies through.

But we all know that is a pipe dream.

Once buhari calls one or two yoruba senators to the villa and talk about 2023 and tinubu, they will fall in like a pack of cards.
Politics › Re: Crypto Ban: Northern Senators Support CBN, Southern Senators Oppose by CSTRR: 7:25pm On Feb 11, 2021
If you are a southerner, and you think the likes of buhari, and the rest of the northern apc stawarts are there for your interests, you are foolish beyond remedy.

Even rotimi amaechi is been proped up by forces outside his own region.

There is no hiding it that northern politicians in the APC likes him.

But anytime we hear about tinubu, it is always from Yoruba land.
Politics › Re: Tinubu Cannot Stand To See A Woman Cry, Deserves To Be President - Group by CSTRR: 1:23pm On Feb 11, 2021
I have never seen any politician from other parts of the country talking about tinubu and his presidency.

It's always one of his touts and stooges in Yoruba land that disturb the airwaves with tinubu this and that.
Always testing the waters every now and then.

I have a news for you guys.

Your crook will never be president.
If you guys like, talk about it from now till tomorrow.

Tinubu getting all the attention in the media without saying anything or paying for the publicity. Levels dey for this life o.
There is no levels.

Anytime you hear about tinubu presidency, it is from one of his boys in Yoruba land.

They are the only people deluded about his chances.

Someone I know was denied a freelance programming Job because he is Nigerian.

That gig would have changed his life forever.

Bit the moment they learnt he is Nigerian, they sent him a rejection mail.

I am tired of Nigerians.

You can't even apply for certain freelance jobs because of Nigerians and their fraudulent reputation.

This is getting out of hand.

These fraudsters are destroying the potential of Nigerian youths to play in the Global markets.

If Emeka marries her, the lady would still keep fucckking Andrew till the wedding day, and if she is not Lucky, will get pregnant and give Emeka as his first child.

Nigeria is underdeveloped because it is highly corrupt.
Simple and short.

Resources that should go into providing a productive environment are channelled away to corrupt hands.

As it right now, NIgeria is getting less than 2% of its potential investment inflow if things were just working at 70% efficiency and competence.

If I can't withdraw my profits quickly, or have multiple or inefficient taxation, or can't access raw materials and currency with any resources available to me including crypto, if you like build an autobahn and an underground metro, I am not investing.
Politics › Re: Twenty-Six Nigerian States Record Zero Foreign Investment In 2020 by CSTRR: 8:28pm On Feb 08, 2021
Look at Kaduna.

Nice roads. They even have a dry port.

Where are the foreign investment?
Insignificant.

I am sure by the end of 2021, the foreign investment there will be less than $1M

We don't know the root cause of problems.

That is why we vote wrong.
Politics › Re: Twenty-Six Nigerian States Record Zero Foreign Investment In 2020 by CSTRR: 8:25pm On Feb 08, 2021
An efficient power sector alone can bring investment than anything any governor can do.

Taxation, monetary policy, these are things that affects foreign investment.

No governor controls those.
Politics › Re: Twenty-Six Nigerian States Record Zero Foreign Investment In 2020 by CSTRR: 8:22pm On Feb 08, 2021
Shine86:
thanks my brother, next election they will go and vote governors that lacks managerial skills, bereft of ideas and those without national clout to attract local investors not to talk of international posture to attract foreign investors.
The FG has more to do with foreign investment than any governor.

If investors can't repatriate their profits quick due to a CBN policy, or struggling with a Federal policy, there is nothing your governor can do to attract them.

In fact, the governor should build roads like the German autobahn, they will not come.

We will need to know the root cause of problems and address them strategically.

I knew Abia would. Okezie has been spending money lately and commissioning roads like crazy.

Commerce is doing well here, if you don't have what gives you food, you did yourself.
56million dollars for a whole year is what you are rejoicing about?

A paltry 56 million dollars.

And I am sure a large percentage of that went to onto oil extraction.

Litmus:
Are the following places in your country and not in Nigeria?: quote, Lagos emerged as the top destination for capital investment in Nigeria with $8.3 billion, followed by Abuja, which received $1.3 billion. The others on the list are Abia State with relatively lower $56 million, Niger with $16.4 million, and Ogun with $13.4 million.
$8.3b is nothing.
South Africa made more than that from tourism alone.
We are not even talking about FDI.

The total FDI into NIgeria is less than $10b.

That is a crying Shame.
Politics › Re: Twenty-Six Nigerian States Record Zero Foreign Investment In 2020 by CSTRR: 8:12pm On Feb 08, 2021
The FDI inflow is at all time low.

And the alarming thing is that it is still going to fall even further.

Local investments are being crippled, why will foreign come in?
Look at what happened to Gokada?

And the CBN is playing ping-pong with the economy and investors hate unstable policies.
