How ever if you are exposed to the virus, you can enhance your chances of staying negative by taking a drug called PrEP or Post exposure prophylaxis to fight off the virus.this must be done within 48hours of exposure . Its also a hiv drug.. But it helps keeps you negative...

I did RVS and it came out positive

To the best of my knowledge. I haven't heard of rvs hiv test before.. Does rvs mean Random virus sampling?

But even before you're given hiv antiretroviral drugs, you must do a confirmatory hiv antigen p24 blood test. And this blood will be taken directly from a vein. Not like the one taken when your thumb is punctured.

Please go for a confirmatory test first...

The drugs are completely free. The hiv clinic will give you a bottle that covers for 30days at this early stage.
So as your health and drug compliance Improves, they will shift you to dosage that covers for 2months or even 3months..

Drugs are called ARV antiretroviral drugs.
They are produced by different drug companies. Some arv you take just one tablet daily,

while some you take 2times daily.


Depending on your hiv clinic, tell the counsellor that because of your daily activities you prefer the ARV that can be taken once daily.. It helps with compliance..

I just got diagnosed of been HIV+. I don't even know what to do or where to start at this phase in life. Dream looks shambles. I had that HIV positive patient must take it's drugs everyday in other to survive.
