The South-West coordinator of the Osinbajo campaign group, Rev Yomi Kasali has stated that the church as an entity should not be involved in partisan politics.
'I'm very actively involved in politics, but in my church i will never use the pulpit to say something about a particular candidate, the pulpit should never be a campaign pulpit'
He continiued, 'Pastors should never go to the pulpit to say we support this person or that person, anybody that supports a candidate will go to hell, this is very wrong and blasphemous'
'Although it happens in the Pentecostal where i belong to, they a bit with aome recklessness and rascality, they are the ones who go a bit too far and we all know it started from the last administration, it was the PDP and Goodluck Jonathan that dragged the church fully into politics'
'In the days of Awolowo, politics was only region not religion'
He concluded by saying he will never impose his political preference in church.
1) WAEC themselves answered your question by presenting a certificate to Buhari 2) He was 76 yesterday, so you didn't even wish your president a happy birthday? 3) He confirmed that last month on national television, didn't you watch it? Or are you still deluded about the Jubrin rumour?
Marius26: has buhari answered about his waec cert? His real age and if he is dead or alive?
You are entitled to your opinion, and i respect it, but it should go both ways Peter Obi is being held accountable today, who says Osinbajo wouldn't be held accountable tomorrow or Ganiyu Galadima and Umma Getso the day after? Why don't we focus on the subject matter, instead of diverting attention. Are the questions not valid? is a prospective VP and ex-govenor not supposed to be accountable? What is the use of Nairaland? Is this not a discussion forum? Are we forbidden from questioning our prospective leaders on the internet? Must we attend town hall meetings in Ajao Estate before we ask questions and make our prospective leaders accountable?
Houstency: True we need to hold prospective leaders who aspire for elective positions accountable. But your questions were asked in bad taste, considering your tone, one-sided fact finding, bias towards a particular political party and erroneous conclusion as evident in your above post. Same ethnic bias you complained of, is glaring in your post as well as holding the reply from a faceless entity on Nairaland as true without considering the veracity of what he said. If you really care for the replies to your questions, visit one of his town hall meetings like the one carried out yesterday at Ajao Estate. To be fair apply same measures to All presidential candidates both in APC, PDP, ANN and other political positions and you can get a balanced view.
Nairaland is Nigeria's biggest discussion forum. Any question asked here will find a way of getting viral anyway, especially after it hits the front page. Nigerians visit Nairaland more than Twitter according to Alexa ranking too, so i don't see why anybody can't ask questions on Nigeria's biggest discussion forum!
1miccza: Of course peter obi is on twitter, as well as Atiku he should pose those questions directly to him if he wants answers, he'll infact get some very prompt answers. Most of these peeps have made Nairaland a domain to satisfy their paymasters... Yeye talk. That's how some will also be asking Buhari and Osinbajo questions on Nairaland when they can do that openly on twitter for everyone to see...
Melody25: Check out the posters name and you wont be surprised he asked foolish questions. Remember the 5kg rice you collected for this folish campaign is going to last you for the next 4 years if the lifless people win.
Thank you, i'm glad someone from Anambra is speaking the truth
nonsobaba: I am from Anambra. Don't be deceived by the media hype. Peter Obi is one of the most despicable and dubious politicians out there. That is why he keeps a social media team to launder his image day after day.
And how come you know the account balance of the writer, were you approached for financial problems, do you know maybe he is balling in Santorini while he asked the questions? We need to put things into perspective, and some giving unintelligent responses
propsvila: If you put the strength you channel in asking this useless question into a meaningful venture you will have enough money to spend this Christmas and new year. Meanwhile if you have questions for Obi while not locate his house and ask him there.
WORD! - And i believe this is coming from an Igbo person?, i'm impressed. We need to put ethnic bias aside and hold our leaders accountable, let us ask questions before we vote! I'm Yoruba, and I believe that even the best Yoruba leader ever is accountable to Nigerians. This is the reason why they call us lazy Nigerian youths, we need to open up our intellectual capability and question these leaders that promise heaven and earth when campaigning. APC leaders should be questioned, same with PDP leaders.
nonsobaba: We owe it a duty to tell the truth even if Peter Obi comes from my state, the great state of Anambra. Here are some things I know;
1) Peter Obi never did NYSC because he graduated with 3rd class in Philosophy. That result is completely useless and couldn't qualify him for service.
2) Peter Obi made his money by drug trafficking which landed his partner-in-crime, Dubem Obaze in a US prison. Years down the road, Obi repaid him for keeping his mouth shut by appointing him Anambra commissioner for local government, a position he held for 8 years.
3) Peter Obi stole Anambra blind by saving state funds in his bank to yield interests for him. He was also laundering cash until police caught the courier, who happened to be his media aide. Thereafter, he changed tactics
4)Peter Obi has not built a personal house in his hometown, Agulu or any branch of his business there either. Some say it is the condition he was given by his secret cult for sustenance of his wealth.
nimisola: Are you Peter Obi or better still, were those questions directed at you? If you as his supporter can't even provide answers to any of the questions, what do you know?
