I am an Icon but Laycon really should have discussed it with her over the week. Laycon was also shocked Ebuka brought it up last week coz it was already a dead issue hence his not being coordinated. But if i were him,i would have called both Erica and Kidd and discussed the issue!
Even if I didn't know what to do,I would still have consulted Vee and Neo to know how best to handle the issue. Not discussing it made it escalate to this confrontation!

What makes it even worse, is that the person who was lied against, Erica, tried to discuss and clear the matter with Laykon, but he kept dodging and ducking. Implying he deliberately stabbed her in the back. It's not a good feeling.

Her efforts to discuss it shows she valued thier friendship. Laykon should have seized the opportunity to clear things up privately with her. Most men would.

Not fair all the things she said. Yes. But, that is an African woman for you when she blows her top. It happens every day, even between married couples in lifelong relationships. Many women say nasty things about thier men, or any man for that matter, when they are angry. Especially, if it involves matters of the heart. I saw the shock and disgust on her face last week when Ebuka asked Laykon about the matter last Sunday, and Laykon threw Erica under the bus when they put him on the spot. A smart person would have parried or parsed the question, or explained it away. But he was caught in an obvious lie, and the guy crashed.

But it's also not fair also for Laykon to spread lies about a supposed confidant in that closed environment, where everyone knows everyone, and info travels quickly, and everything that happens is seen by the whole world.

It cuts both ways.

The fact that she stylishly friendzoned Laykon does not give him the right to twist things and lie about things. Any street smart guy should know when a babe is not into you. But he kept trying to press the matter , giving the impression Erica is leading him on, when it is clear to the whole world who she really wanted.

It's not a crime for a girl to be friendly with someone, or even to be mentally connected, without any emotional strings attached. Laykon with all his acclaimed smartness is expected to understand this.

This is why Erica is really pissed, because of the deliberate betrayal by someone she considered a close confidant

Perhaps, "forcefully" is not the right word. But "multiple times" as being bandied around the house by Laykon is clearly false. Erica admitted that the famous attempted kiss happened once.
