My dear, I de manage. Been on admission since yesterday. Tests have been conducted plus injection to mature baby's lungs just in case.....thank God I had packed my bag. Only things left are what dh can easily buy

Am i the only one heartburn is doing strong thing like this Today's own is worse,i have taken antacid suspension i got from the hospital but still the same,cappo beyedew and all experienced mamas pls help me!!! I cant even take dinner with the way i feel.

Teamie, sorry about heartburn. That's my no 1 package that I have no choice than to bear for 9months.

Only danacid (gelusil) works for me, you can lick as many as can cause relief. Try to know foods that triggers it especially fried foods. Don't sleep or lie down immediately after eating it. Ensure your pillow allowa your head to be raised higher than your body. Just chew the gelusil after eating, don't wait for the heartburn

All this will give you relief not permanent cure. Hope this works

Alhamdulilah for everything..... My princess arrived few hours ago. Through CS though,we re thankful.
Mummy,baby and even daddy re all doing pretty fine.
Baby came 2 days earlier than EDD.
So so excited right now.
I pray each and everyone here have an easy delivery.

Cutemarvel you can get replacement for the broken flask on the island where they sell baby items but the price is almost the same with new flasks

We all have passed the middle line, so we are counting down , if you can start your shopping now, don't allow all those market people finish your money ooo, get according to your pocket, try and have a list so you don't derail much cos baby things are soooooo . God has made it easy for us.
If you can pack your baby's bag now, beautiful cos you will be amazed at how tired you'd get when you decide to wait till around that time. Don't be the mommy that will be rushing to pack amidst labour pain, my mom is a culprit of that .

I saw a hot water flask in the market "mega", heard its super dope.
Don't forget to pray, pray, pray. Even all the medical instruments that will be used on you, pray for them.

Please those that haven't updated their EDD and sex should do so, so I can add it.

Present Captain... Gender is hoping for pink. I can't think of doing scan with the pain I feel in my stomach everyday. The last scan I did my baby was hyperactive for weeks. I'll wait till 36th week.

Nothing much to shop for, will buy the hospital essentials and baby bath items in any store by January.

To my lovely e family here, My Prince Charming arrived last night nov 4 weighing 3.4kg via emergency c section as the cord was tied around the neck after being in labour for 2 days and I didn’t dilate more than 2cm but I saw hell. At first I was leaking so I was admitted . Then my water broke last night but still no dilating. My boy is the cutest thing ever. Both mom and boy are doing absolutely great. Have to heal now

True at the bolded words! I just changed my hospital at 30wks, I have been a bit unsettled about the hospital I registered with b'cos they were supposed to treat me for a yeast infection, they didn't have the prescribed med at the time and promised it will be available in the evening. I paid and left, 24hrs later, I was yet to hear from them. When they finally called 48hrs later, the nurse I spoke with said it wasn't available early enough because it was raining the previous day and they couldn't go to buy it .
Talmbout raining when I was at site running survey for a client in a raincoat, why leave your hospital doors open when it rains if the rain will stop you from rendering services?
The doctor called later to apologize about the nurse's response but I already made up my mind about them and didn't mince words in telling him how I feel about their management.
I can't be in Labour and be worried about meeting an unprofessional nurse, Pregnancy and delivery is hard enough already without adding unnecessary anxiety to the patient.
That action alone made me decided not to use them anymore cos na from fart we go know how shit go smell.
I can't leave my life and that of my unborn baby in the care of nonchalant medical personnels.
Needless to say, I changed my hospital last week and I am more relaxed with my new choice.

Mothers trust your instinct, if it doesn't look right, doesn't smell right and doesn't feel right.... IT IS DEFINITELY NOT RIGHT!

So I was told at the mkt when I wanted to buy. I was asking for virony but the woman said evergreen is the best. She sold it for me #10,500, wholesale price. I bought everything from her.

I used evergreen for my son and it's still intact. I think the best is to limit carrying around, just find a good position to place it.

My neighbour just had her baby girl early this morning. She went into labour around 3a.m and she's already back home since 9a.m. She's a ftm.
I pray mine will be so simple and fast like hers too.

Mothers please, when going to the hospital ask questions or go with someone that loves you and can ask series of questions on your behalf.

If you are not satisfied with a particular hospital. There's no time too late to change to a new hospital. They will only talk.

Is it true that when one is pregnant for the second it will cause the first to start falling sick? I know I've heard that it's mere superstition and I actually don't believe it but how do I explain my situation?

OK, first, my neighbor told me that I should stop sleeping on the same bed with my dd. That she'll be jealous of the one in vitro, and that one in turn will be beating her. It sounded so ridiculous to me and I laughed it off. But she was insistent and said, should my girl fall ill, it's my fault. That I should sleep elsewhere and when my bump is big, I should be bathing with her and make the water from my belly touch her while bathing. She even blamed the recent malaria my girl had on me. I didn't quite take her serious tho.


But coincidentally or otherwise, these days, my girl struggles and cries from her sleep and most times would wake up and find it really hard to sleep back until the early hours of the morning. This in turn affects me as I won't be able to catch enough sleep before getting up to prepare for the day. I keep wondering what's upsetting her from her sleep. I pray for her continuously most times before she's able to sleep off again.

This is making me to begin to think ridiculously, like is it possible my pregnancy is disturbing her? In your subsequent pregnancies, did you experience anything like this? Do I really need to stop sharing a bed with her? Or what do you think it is?

Mama I didn't want to believe it until my 16 months old (now 20 months)son started falling sick even before I confirmed pregnancy. He dropped weight from 13kg to 10kg. I must hold him before he sleeps and he will hold unto me with his leg and and arm while asleep but does not cry from sleep. I heard it's common if they are of opposite sex.

We still sleep on the same bed and I don't believe in that bathing water stuff. Just pray for her.

He's over the fear now. Many people confirmed it happened to them.

What I did was to give him the attention he needed, allowed him to be with his father as much as possible and he always prayed for him , limit the carry you and school also helped us. He's better now.
