Today we noticed somebody came to withdraw N300,000 we told him we have only N200,000 available. He opted to take it at a higher commission charge. The pos approved the withdrawal. In suspicion of this transaction where the name in the card differs with the name the man gave us, we asked for his identity and that of the owner of the card, the man went out stating that he wants to buy recharge card to call the real owner of the card. We waited for him from 1.48pm to 4pm when he reappeared with another person who claimed to be an engineer that sent him to withdraw the money. Meanwhile the name in the ATM card indicates name of a woman. The engineer claimed that the owner of the card is his wife and the person that brought the ATM Card for withdrawal is his brother in-law. We asked them to produce the ATM card to enable us see the name again and pay them their money just know if we can retrieve the ATM card but they said they left the ATM card inside their car parked at a place a little far away from us. They opted to go and collect the ATM card from their car but did not come back till we left the market (shop) by a little after 6pm. Please i need suggestions on what to do as we are still in possession of the N200,000 already withdrawn from the account. Copied! 1 Like |

I write this with a heavy heart, where's this country headed...so establishment of regional security outfits is against the Constitution but establishment of RUGA is not.? What is actually wrong with our leaders... If at all Umahi made these statements I just read... How on Earth do u ever consider RUGA as a solution to security challenges in the country... This is the worst approach I could ever think of... I guess we don't really understand the intentions behind RUGA establishment... Good evening everyone on this platform! I have a very good warning ⚠ to all of us here whether you have a job or not. Let's not be eager to forward job vacancies on our platform PLEASE! I have a case I'm handling for StanbicIBTC Bank. When I visited the operations manager of one of their branches who is being sued for negligence by a customer, the manager told me of what happened to her sister-in-law who had gone for an interview which she saw on a platform like this. The 'company' which put up the advert for the job vacancies is 'HALLIBURTTON and not HALLIBURTON we all used to know. The 'interview' was actually conducted in Ikeja, LAGOS. Some of them were also 'shortlisted' for a job that isn't available. After the interview, they tricked them that they will drop all of them at their respective destinations because of transport fare. Some were taken to PH,some to Benin, some to Saki in Oyo State. The sister-in-law to this operations manager was among those taken to Saki. That was how they all ended in the hands of kidnappers. Those who put up the advert are kidnappers. They lured their victims with job vacancies in a reputable company. They collected their certificates and kept them in the bush. They are now demanding for #5m for each of them to be released. I listened to the audio clips of his conversation with them. They said they have been in the business for long and not ready to release anyone without paying ransom. Please, please and please, let us be careful with the way we forward job vacancies on our platform or social media handles. Alakoba o ni koba wa o! Careful is better than sacrifice. |
