@ erico2k2 did you get my mail as per steering conversion/car clearance? cheers. |
@ Larry What model of cars are we talking about? |
Larry, Which cars for 500k-600k with Auto transmission and Factory AC and custom duty. How long will it take you to deliver? |
@Ilelobola, thanks. I think they've got something with aviareps. Will be paying them via aviareps (Holbart Place) @ Igbogolo, when you say 'at the counter' do you mean the airport desk on your travel day? isnt that quite risky as per hoping the flight is still reserved and available to you. I think the online reservation says you have like 6 days to make payment. |
@Igbogolo abeg, how did you pay for the arik air ticket in the UK? It appears there's no option for paying with a UK debit/credit card on their website and their UK contact number is a premium 08444 number. Please advise. Cheers! |
how does one actually go about paying for an Arik air ticket in London. The online booking confirmation just tells you to pay at your nearest agent. Is that in 9ja abi in the UK. Meanwhile, their contact number na premium 08444 number (as if say I tell dem say I wan vote for Britains Got Talent). Strange how they wont let you pay online via debit/credit card, then they force you to call premium number to get account number to pay money into, odikwa egwu ohhh. |
@ Larryshow4 You seem to have nice reviews/feedbakcs on here and that was why I contacted u (as per the 1995 Carina E). Dunno y its taking forever to get back to me. Let me know if it is/isn't possible. Cheers. |
Thanks Siena, I really needed the advice. Will do. Cheers!! |

I'm looking to ship a Peugeot 406 from the Uk to 9ja. problem is the Right hand drive wahala. Does anyone know exactly how much it is going to cost to convert it to Left hand Drive in Lag. Contact numbers of the engineers/mechanics will be highly appreciated. Also if my 9ja people in the UK know where ths conversion can be done in and around London I will also appreciate any info in case its cheaper to convert here before shipping. Cheers guys, |
@Salsera, Hiya, been a while. What u been up to? Can't believe you actually left Resident Student the first, to sort out his terribly hectic existence as an international student all alone, lol Na waa for you oh, u no try at all |
@ Akolawole, Haba, out of sight no be out of mind now, lol. Hope say u dey sha. |
@demi2008 Indeed, a similar experience to ur sister's is the main reason I started this tread. I phoned up and after a terribly bad phone conversation (I repeat terribly bad) I was booked for a return flight. Now, I've been asked to pay into thier account or come in to pay at the office on or before a set deadline. I think I prefer the later option. Thats how far I have gone. Now I know that every human interaction has its share of poor delivery and that some people might see this as hating but how can an international airline in this day and age tell a customer say them no recieve the fax sake of say dem fax machine no good. Can you imagine? To be honest, their fare is really enticing and I know you should expect a lower quality of service in return for a cheaper fare. But at least there should be some decency. Abeg do let us know when your sis's ticket finally arrives. @Londoncool I dont really care about the loads of pidgin spoken aboard. I speak and understand pidgin too. The most important thing is that the flight meets International Aviation Safety Standards and that passenger safety is guranteed as much as is humanly possible. Bellview has hurt us before, I do not wish for my family to be hurt again. |
Indeed, the thesis and entire degree are done. Still feels like yesterday. I'm really hoping the service at Bellview will be worth the whole effort. Nice to read from you again. Cheers. |

@Mimz, Thanks, but the thread is barely 24 hours old and pff, who knows. Thanks again sha, how u dey? |
biddyshegs, howdy? |
@Busygirl, I note that you've flown Bellview from the UK to naija or the other way. Could you tell me about it. (llondonbboy@yahoo.co.uk) if it isnt much trouble. Cheers! |

Has anyone flown Bellview from Heathrow to Lagos and back? Kindly share your experience(s). The phone service (enquiry) wasnt really the best and I'm wary of being left stranded on an island as we typically choose to treat ourselves to sub-standard values. @Funky How u dey? Been a while. @Mr Pataki & Akolawole Greetings. @Paribus , I'd always remember. |
@Paribus, While the paid training thing at the end of ur programme is not entirely a bad idea, in my opinion, u might want to conisder the ties outside the US clause. If u applied while still at uni, ur studies should prove sufficient enuf ties to make u depart the US after ur visit (tho surprisingly it didnt in my friends case, but did in mine). But if u applied at the END of ur programme, dunno really. But considering ur peculiar circumstances, u might want to get an IV to one of them conferences or especially for those professional bodies in Yankee of which u might be a student member which usually hold conferences around now, dat u are still a student. Get a hotel booked and if possible get a paper to present or at least publish in the journal. Make the application and approach the interview from the perspective of the conference being invaluable to ur academic work. Present ur case from d angle of ''u definitely wouldnt miss this one based on d fact that it is part of ur school work here, so there obviously wouldnt be the case of u were too busy' With regards to d previous visas, tell the truth, about having been busy. But in this case, it is part of ur educational pursuit, and should make a whole lot of sense. It might seem a bit dicey, but u just need to give it a shot if u really want to. Remember dat the orientation of the Visa officer here is different, believe it or not, he knows at the back of his mind, dat u were able to scale d hurdles in 9ja, to be here legitimately and if u do not get d visa,, u still get to be here legitimately, if u wish. Also consider writing a letter with the application, stating ur circumstances with the visas. In my experience, the decision whether or not to issue the visa is made in the intervening period between when u submit the documents at windows 1-10 and when u are called for the approximately 7 minute interview at windows 11-25. the interview is just to confirm and reassure the officer on his thots already from ur docs. So a letter might help. I didnt write one tho, but I'm thinking dat if my friend did, he might be all smiles today, dunno really. Finally Paribus, a big thank u for all the clothing advise u gave just as I was abt leaving 9ja for the Uk back in 2007. You have no idea how much those meant to me. I still remember d long lines u wrote and I thank u for d effort, hence, I'd give any advice or help I can to u at anytime, one good turn does deserve another. |
@ Busta Ten years is a very long time oh. I dont see myself not visiting b4 then, even if I have to beg for flight ticket, lol @Funkybaby, yes oh to d washing and amen to the tapping in on blessings. By d way, did u still make dat movement u talked abt? I no hear anything again. |
@Akolawole thanks. indeed, they r quite unpredictable. u r right, i even had no invitation letter this time around while my friend who was refused had an IV from d son of a past US congressman |
