@Nkenwanyi
yes ooo you are right but believe me, I can assure you that we are getting the visa. you see, I submitted on the 16th of July and as at this afternoon that I called them, they say it is still at the visa section in abuja. In the cases of most of my friends who were denied, thiers usually came back on or b4 the 15th working day.
Also my popsis bank manager told him this afternoon at the club that the embassy sent the bank statement to his office for confirmation just this morning. I think thats good news. I understand that if they are confirming your documents, then they are inclined to give you the visa. So if your own don pass 15 working days, rejoice for your prayers are already knocking on heavens door.

Keep me posted ok?

PS u are not from imo, are you?

uau:

i was at italian embassy 2003.i was supposed to go for a technical training and this was sponsored by the institution inviting us. accomodation, feeding was guaranteed for 3 weeks duration of our proposed stay. the IV was valid and the company account statement was being used as it was official.

we were denied visa because some igbo boys masqueraded as technical engineers the previous year to go to this institution. when they arrived, they attended the first day lecture and bothered not to come again prefering to buy shoes etc. to go and sell back in nigeria.

this was a bad image for the country and led to my visa denial.

i was in the taiwanese embassy in abuja last week for a visa interview to proceed for a technical training organised by one of our distributors in taiwan.we were earlier given reqirement which we have fullfilled and even our CEO just returned from taiwan. we did the interview. we were submitted valid invoices sent by our partners to show that we are doing an authentic business.

guess what, we were told that a month ago a young igbo guy ran away.he was part of another IT company's delegation to the annual ICT exhibition that was held in taiwan.we have not been allocated a visa number after 1 week of interview. something that is supposed to be done in 3 days and our passports are not virgin.

i met an igbo guy at the embassy and the conversation was like this:

igbo guy - ''nna this embassy wahala too much''
igbo guy- ''i was in austria, singapore embassy last week"
me-"what for?why do u want to travel"
igbo guy-"nna for business. i want to travel with my uncle and they said i would run away. i told them i would not run away"
igbo guy-"don't go to malaysia, i travelled there and at the airport we were returned back to nigeria"
igbo guy-"nna those guys no like nigeria at all"

the summary of all these is that the sins of defaulters are being visited on nigerians with genuine intention to travel out.
this should stop.

i rest my case.

thats a whole lod of crap man. So what you are telling us is that Igbo boys are now the sole reason for visa denials abi? Na waa for you ooo

A litlle bit of unsolicited advice, take your time to fill your forms, answer he questions asked, provide NECESSARY, COMPLETE and AUTHENTIC documentation and believe me your visa would be granted. And always remember that the standard is to a balance of probability and the burden of proof is on you, the applicant. So make sure you provide verifiable documents. Do not think the Visa official should be able to figure this out or figure that out. They are like robots and even when they know what you genuinely mean, they'd like to see prof for that.

Take it from someone who knows, and who hasbenn thru it all, your visa failure was directly your fault. Dont blame it on anyone else.

Peace, nay Shalom

I am going to the University of Westminster. its actually in London. Ever heard of it? What about you?

I still need the prayers abeg, the remaining 2 days be like 2 centuries, the anxiety is killing me. I am not joking, its killing me ooooooooooooo

I'm really proud of you and I hpe to be pasting my testimony here soon. I submitted my application at a VF centre on the 16th of July, 2007. I have called them a couple of times and I'm told its still at the visa section in Abuja but that I should allow at least 15 working days from the date of submission, that actually boils down to this friday. Well It's the third time I'm applying for a Student V. but it was actually fault that I wasrefused twice last year cos I presented an account overdrawn to almost 30 millla and I had no proff of funds. Just the statement and sponsorship letter. The statement then was even company statement. Even tho I hadpaid tution in full then.
Well now, I have paid tuition in full again and av2 sonsors with five of their personal bank statements totalling approx 6 milla.

Also submitted their employment letters, payslips, affidavits and property deeds this time around. i didnt do that last year too.

So do you think I stand a chance now? To be frank, the anxiety is killing me. By my calculations of the timing of yur own case, I wld av bn caldfor an interview on 28 July cos that was 12 days after submission. So I guess I aint having an interview. So please keep your fingers crssed for me cos the anxiety is like killing me this final week.

What do you think?

Travel / I Have Already Submitted The Application. What Chances Have I Got? by D1O(m): 10:32am On Jul 23, 2007
I have submitted my third application for a UK student visa. I was denied twice last year cos my sponsor's account was in red even tho I had paid entire tuition.
Now I have a different sponsor(two actually) with all their statemnts totalling a lil over 5 milla. I have still paid entire tuition.

Do you guys think I got a good chance now?

I'm curious and the anxiety is killing me. I've also got a job now unlike b4.

How long does the application take?
